How do I play windows media player in Firefox?

I downloaded and installed the plugin from this site: http://www.interoperabilitybridges.com/windows-media-player-firefox-plugin-download
but I do not see it in the Firefox plugin section. When I go to a site with windows media player it says that there is a missing required plugin.

Hello, please try this: enter Subject: config in the bar firefox address (confirm the message information where it appears) & search for the preference named plugins.load_appdir_plugins. Double-click it and change its value to true (a restart of the browser may be needed later for the change to take effect).

some information on the issue are explained in http://www.ghacks.net/2013/05/15/why-you-may-have-lost-access-to-plugins-or-extensions-in-firefox-21/

Do these two steps [they are the closest thing possible to uninstall then reinstall WMP & will actually provide a new installation of WMP]

1 unload WMP - Panel, programs and features, [left] turn on or off has Windows, multimedia features, clear box Windows Media Player, Yes, OK, restart the PC.

2 reload WMP - Panel, programs and features, [left] turn Windows features on or off, multimedia features, set the Windows Media Player box, Yes, OK, restart the PC.

If you could play before commercial video DVD...

Or you could buy a DVD decoder at the following link:

  • How can I reset Windows Media Player to use songs on my external backup drive instead or in addition to the songs on my desktop with Windows Vista Edition basic hard drive family?

How can I reset the Player Windows Media in Windows Vista Home Basic to use the songs on my external backup drive instead of (or in addition to) the songs on my desktop hard drive?  Currently, the Media Player library indicates that the hard drive (C:\) is my only option of disks to use for sources of songs.

Basically, I want to have Media Player external drive for all the songs from research and build his library on this disc instead of on the C:\ drive.
My problem is that the songs are hogging too much space on my hard drive, so I want to move to my external drive to backup instead, but Media Player will not access it.  I saw an option in Media Player to add a song to a different drive to the library whenever I play a song of this player, but that would require me to play all the songs moved one at a time, which is not practical, and which would not solve my problem because Media Player could still be maintaining the library on my HDD to say.
    Any ideas?
    Thank you.

  • How to reconfigure the windows media player?

My computer is telling me that the files in Windows Media Player are corrupt and the player must be reconfigured. I wonder how you do that?

    Hello

    1. what operating system is installed on the system?

2 have you made any changes to the system before the show?

In case you are using Windows 7, then try the troubleshooting steps below.

You can't start over with the new library in Windows media player, but you can delete the database of Windows Media Player. To do this, follow these steps:

    (a) output Windows Media Player.

    (b) click Start, run, type %LOCALAPPDATA%\Microsoft\Media Player, and then click OK.

(c), select all the files in the folder and then click on Delete on the file menu.

Note: you don't have to remove the folders that are in this folder.

    (d) restart Windows Media Player.

Note Windows Media Player automatically rebuilds the database.

If the above does not solve your problem then clear cache of database of Windows Media Player files. To do this, follow these steps:

    (a) output Windows Media Player.

    (b) click Start, click Run, type % LOCALAPPDATA%\Microsoft, and then click OK.

    (c) select the folder Media Player and then click on Delete on the file menu.

    (d) restart Windows Media Player.

    Create a new library

  • How can I block Windows media player-all function or video?

OK, I have one of four newspapers-ons in my pc that is locked down pretty tight where the only thing I want to work is word processor (WordPerfect and starting Word version).  My teenage son has impulse control issues, which gives more access means that it is wandering and not on the task.  Theoretically, he likes to play music while working on school assignments (writing) on the computer.  The problem is that apparently in addition to the execution of music files already resident on our pc and external drive, he inserted DVD in the dvd player and movies run (secretly) that are played to use the features of Windows media player.  My preference would be to hell video functionality or the ability to use the DVD drive under this opening of session and leave the ability of audio file.  Is there a way to do this?

Alternatively, if I install another drive, can I block the video features of a different player and block the drive windows completely?

    Hi Akphoneguy,

We understand that you want to restrict your teenager using Windows Media Player to play the video file but without impact on music files. However, the feature that you are curious about is currently not available in Family Safety. It can only restrict the entire working application and not a specific feature within the application. If you think that restrict certain features of any application is a convenient feature to have safe family, we suggest that submit you it as a feature request to Microsoft who appreciates your comments and considers that the suggestion of a future versions. In regards to your idea to install a new drive and Windows Media Player blocking completely, as now, we have no information for the player who can perform the function you are looking for. We can only suggest what to look for any media player that may able to do using your search engine preferred.

  • How to return to Windows Media Player 10?

I am running Windows XP Media Center Edition. I want to install adriver for a Creative Zen Touch MP3 player. This operation requires me to go back to Windows Media Player 10, but I can't understand how do. I tried turning on Windows Media Player 11 and Windows Media Player 10, but when I tried to install it, the installation program has recognized the updated version and completed.

I need to install a driver because the software does not recognize the drive when it is connected.

    =================================
OK... but why must it be recognized? Is it
in order to copy MP3 files to MP3 player?

If you connect the MP3 player and go to my computer
It can be recognized as a removable drive... If this is the case, you
can add files from there, and no driver is required.
