Failure to update code 70; Update KB3102433

I tried twice to install the .NET framework of Microsoft 4.6.1 for Windows 7 for x 64 update system (KB3102433).  After the first failure, I used the suggested Microsoft Fix It tool that did not help.

Any suggestions on how to get the update to install correctly?

    original title: update failure KB263371

MS Security Update for Windows XP KB263371 error Code: 0 x 80070008 - continues to fail and try to update. Free of virus. No new software.

No new anivirus (AVG, Spybot) - I ran Windows Defender, MS doesn't Fix It. So far, nothing worked.

I see other forums, it is not unique, but so far have not seen a solution. Appers have started 12/13

Additional - I had to do an XP repair and updating on 11/13.

So what's the ONLY update that won't install successfully?

    @jstut only! =>

    Two possibilities:

    1. do not uninstall IE8 or IE7 before doing the repair facility has left Windows in a "confused" State or "broken".

    2. you see the effects of a long-standing infection hijackware, very probably aggravated by a rootkit W32/Alureon-Variant.

Your ONLY recourse now is to format the hard disk and then perform a new installation of Windows.

    Task of pre-required

When you make significant changes to your computer for example updated operating system, you must always back up. See the links to resources on the backup by clicking the link for each version of Windows you are using: Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7, Windows 8/8.1

    then

    then

    • Turn off (preferably uninstall) your Antivirus utility before you perform the upgrade.
    • Reboot several times, and then try again.
    • Disable the general USB peripherals (for example - smart card reader).
    • If you are using a SCSI drive, make sure you have the drivers available for your storage on a thumdrive device and it is connected. During the installation of Windows 10, click on the advanced custom Option and use the command load driver to load the driver for the SCSI drive. If this does not work and the installer still fails, consider switching to an IDE based hard drive.
    • Perform a clean boot, restart, and then try again.
    • If you upgrade to the. ISO file, disconnect from the Internet during the installation, if you are connected in LAN (Ethernet) or wireless, disable both, then try to install.
    • If you are updated through Windows Update, when download reaches 100% disconnect from the LAN (Ethernet) Internet or Wi - Fi, then proceed with the installation.
    • If this does not work, try using the. ISO file to upgrade if possible.
    • If you are connected to a domain, go to a local account.
    • If you have an external equipment, attached to the machine, unplug them (example, game controllers, USB sticks, external hard drive, printers, peripherals not essential).

    Shifted

    Hello shifted,

    Welcome to Microsoft Community forum.

This error indicates a boot failure Windows 8.1 has occurred during the final parts of the update, System Restore Windows 8.  The most likely cause of this error is a material defect or incompatible driver. Unfortunately, due to the timing of this failure, there often are no newspaper, dumps or other diagnostic information available to study the question easily, making it difficult to determine which, if any, of the system or components drivers cause the update fails.

For more information I suggest you follow the suggestion provided by Madeni K N replied on 8 January 2014 in the following thread.

    http://answers.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows/Forum/windows8_1-windows_install/error-0xc1900101-0x40017-when-installing-Windows/8c893ae6-0e9b-4b7d-a647-b9065099efd6

If you are unable to upgrade to 8.1 Windows after trying the steps in the thread that above, I suggest trying the steps by Vivian Samartha responded on April 12, 2014 in the following thread and see if it works for you.

    http://answers.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows/Forum/windows8_1-windows_install/kb2919355-Windows-81-update-fails-800f0092-and/4d4d23a3-695a-4bd4-B340-d2ce9c75919d

If the problem persists after trying the above steps, I'll ask to follow the steps given by David Williams Dixon in the Blog below.

Something happened and the 8.1 Windows installation may not be completed. (And now you are bored)

We know if the steps help you in upgrading the computer to Windows 8.1.

  • I need assistance with the installation of 3 failures of updates for windows vista with error code 646

1 security Update for Microsoft Office Excel 2007 (973593 KB)
    2. security Update for Microsoft Office System 2007 (973704 KB)
    3. Update for Microsoft Office Word 2007 (974561 KB)

Updates have been through to 4 am cst, but when I turned on my pc today, Windows Update showed that I needed to install updates 3 mentioned above. I tried all day to make install, but each attempt failed. I clicked the button 'Try Again' and always updates does not pass.

I deleted the files that I no longer use of haven't used in a year or two. I also deleted some files that I have no use for out the files in the folder my documents. I even emptied my recycling bin to help clear up some disk deespace, still nothing.

I tried the suggestions that are currently on the forum, but do not always help.

When I went to manually download updates an error pops up saying "Package of Installation failed."

Help, please. I need of new suggestions or something.

I had to disable the "User Account Control" (UAC), which allows you to run as administrator in Vista.  After that I turned it off, all 4 of these updates installed and it doesn't require manual installation.   Follow these steps:

In the case of Vista view:

1.) go to start; Control Panel; "User accounts and family safety"; User accounts.
2.) click on 'Enable user account control or disable' (last point on the page)
3.) clear the checkbox "Use User Account Control (UAC) to help protect your computer" and click "OK."
4.) restart the computer, and then run the installation of the system and they work.

If you are in Classic view:

1.) go to start; Control Panel; Security Center
2 screen.) in the "Windows Security Center", go to the last item "User Account Control" and click the button to turn off.

You can also see the security shield in your Start menu.  You can also access the UAC via this.

After that the installation of the system have been updated, make sure that you go back and turn the UAC "" and then restart your computer so that unauthorized updates do not occur.   Always try this turn off if install doesn't work.
