False 'out of paper' report on the computer

The HP Officejet 6500 printer isn't paper and display of the status bar. How to convince the computer?

Sorry you had a problem with the computer showing "on paper."

Try restarting your computer.

Also perform a hard reset on the printer. Leave for 30 seconds and plug it back.

If the error message persists, try uninstalling and reinstalling the software and drivers.

  • OfficeJet 5740: Warning of false 'out of paper' Officejet 5740

    When you print from iPad or phone using AirPrint, Airprint menu displays the message 'printer is out of paper' whenever the JO 5740 is selected, and yet the printer is full and prints normally without worrying. On Mac, printing queue always shows "paper tray is empty", still prints normally anyway. He did it since the first time I ever printed on it. I did an online chat with the help of HP, and the representative concluded that the printer was defective. I switched the printer at the store that I bought it since then, and the second printer does exactly the same thing from the moment I plugged it. The printer itsself never shows a warning of paper output. Removal and replacement of paper do not help. In any case, I'm wireless printing. Please note, that the printer WON'T pick up the paper and print normally; It is just falsely indicating one out of paper.

    Jac I found this on my own. HP was going to replace this printer because they concluded that it was defective. However, it works as expected! This printer has two paper, one for plain paper trays and one for paper photo 4 x 6. Because I do not print photos, I didn't load the photo tray. Thus, each device notified me that the printer is in paper. All I had to do was load the paper picture sample provided with the printer and the BAM!, no more message. I can't believe I spent an hour on the phone with the help of HP check of the cables, reinstall the drivers, reconfiguring wireless, move the printer closer to the router, blah, blah. They don't even know their own products.

  • How can I recover the files of paper missing on the computer?

    Please please help.

    I downloaded a program zip file free called Bandizip to work to organize and gather my photos.
    After awhile, I had to go back to my office work, I went to my documents folder, and noticed that all my
    the documents are now gone! My resume, my work office, reports and even private letters I was store
    for the four years since I use my lab - top are all gone! I went clicked on and recent documents history
    the name of the document and he said: "the shortcut has been deleted or changed."

    When I go directly in my MS Office word 93 and at the bottom of the menu in the title of the document
    I was working, when I clicked on the title, it is said, the word is not found or is corrupted. He said,
    opening with Open + restore and I have done and tried everything but I can't seem to find my documents.

    Perhaps while downloading this file free zip program, my computer may be being touched by a virus.
    but all my working documents were in the Documents folder, and I need back them tonight! :(((

    Please someone have mercy and help me! I'm so desperate...

  • paper jam when the computer only screen printing

    I had the c6280 all in one for a while... Now, whenever I try to print something from the computer, it gets stuck.  However, if I ask him just to copy a document it spits out the book as there is nothing wrong!  What is wrong with him?  who can I go to get it repaired?

    Printer does not hang stand-alone use (i.e. a copy) is what leads me to believe the issue is either with the connection with the software. The first of the three questions:

    Have you tried to unisntall/reinstall the printer as I posted above? And how long/how old the USB cord? You never have it stored for a long period of time wrapped?

    Let me know!

  • Color washes out when I turn on the computer.

    While using the computer on 06/10/10 a update, kicking, after re starting and as an elements began the screen becomes normal for an aspect faded as if 90% of the color was cleared on.

    I brought back to the restore point but everything is ok, but the color keeps taking after about 30 secinds when loading points. Any ideas please.

    Make sure that you do not get the 3 group through Windows updates hardware drivers.

    Find them in the hardware manufacturer's Web site.

    Find the latest graphic drivers:

    Go to the Web site of the manufacturer of your laptop computer-graphics/computer card > drivers and downloads Section > key in your model number > look for the latest Vista drivers > download/install them.

  • Photosmart D110 'in paper' mistake, but the paper is present but roll will not stage paper to?

    It seems that there is a white nylon/plastic "thickness" with a roll built in. In addition, it seems that this piece is not working as well as we look at the paper the first tray (bonbout) does not move forward in what I call the breakpoint. When the printer does not see the paper in the next step it gives a "out of paper error ' on the LCD of the printer as well as on the computer screen.»

    The printer was hardly used although it is out of warranty. The ink is the color of 90% and 60% Black. My guess is that it is not worth it Pack and pay to have it fixed.

    Maybe the best I can do is find a HP printer that uses the same ink?

    Hi Jeff

    I had exactly the same need to identify stereotypes having failed and drilled until SDK and LucD suggestions (thank you) to encode the following lines:

    $vmlist = Get-VM |sort Name

    foreach ($guestname in $vmlist)
    {
        $hours = 48 # Number of hours back
          $tasknumber = 999          # Windowsize of the Task collector
    $taskMgr = Get-View TaskManager

    # Create hash table. Each entry is a create snapshot task
    $report = @{}

    $filter = New-Object VMware.Vim.TaskFilterSpec
    $filter.Time = New-Object VMware.Vim.TaskFilterSpecByTime
    $filter.Time.beginTime = (Get-Date).AddHours(-$hours)
    $filter.Time.timeType = "startedTime"

    $collectionImpl = Get-View ($taskMgr.CreateCollectorForTasks($filter))

    $dummy = $collectionImpl.RewindCollector
    $collection = $collectionImpl.ReadNextTasks($tasknumber)
    while($collection -ne $null){
    $collection | where {$_.DescriptionId -eq "VirtualMachine.createSnapshot" -and $_.EntityName -eq $guestName} | %{
    if ($_.State -eq "Error") {
            write-host $_.EntityName
            write-host $_.StartTime
            write-host $_.State
            }
        else {
        }
    }
    $collection = $collectionImpl.ReadNextTasks($tasknumber)
    }
    $collectionImpl.DestroyCollector()

     }

    This script displays the name of the virtual machines which met with an instant failure in the last 48 hours (a variable, you can change)

    This is just the beginning, because I want to count the shots failed and identify virtual computers that have more than 2 in 2 days

    Feel free to alter it at will.

    Enjoy

    original title: unknown problem with repair/recovery, tiles strange system startup screen? Help!

    Lately, my computer acted up (Dell XPS 410 w / Vista Home Premium so this is important) and when I start the computer and access the boot screen, I get what looks like this (see 3rd photo link). Usually the Startup Repair resolved the problem for a short period of time. This morning I tried it again, when he said he failed and received an error message (see photo 2 links first). Note: I could not can not send in an error report because the computer that it is is not connected to the internet.

    Does anyone have a solution? Thanks advance.

    Gentlemen thank you very much for the replies so far.

    I tried to do the Startup Repair once more and I went into the details of it, and he said that the cause was recognized as "a recent driver installation or upgrade may prevent the system from starting". That is rather confusing, because I don't have NO idea what driver it might be.

    At this moment I am boot from the Vista disc supplied. I hope I can find a solution that is one of the many that you guys have provided so far.

    EDIT: She apparently did not work...

    You can normally make repairs since the Dell recovery disks.

    Read this and if necessary, do you do a startup repair disk:

    Follow these steps to try to solve your problems of boot.

    Restore point:

    http://www.howtogeek.com/HOWTO/Windows-Vista/using-Windows-Vista-system-restore/

    Do Safe Mode system restore, if it is impossible to do in Normal Mode.

    Try typing F8 at startup and in the list of Boot selections, select Mode safe using ARROW top to go there > and then press ENTER.

    Try a restore of the system once, to choose a Restore Point prior to your problem...

    Click Start > programs > Accessories > system tools > system restore > choose another time > next > etc.

    http://www.windowsvistauserguide.com/system_restore.htm

    Read the above for a very good graph shows how backward more than 5 days in the System Restore Points by checking the correct box.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    If the system or Mode restore safe work not and you do not have a Microsoft Vista DVD, make a repair disc to do a Startup Repair:
    Download the ISO on the link provided and make a record of repair time it starts.
    Go to your Bios/Setup, or the Boot Menu at startup and change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order, then reboot with the disk in the drive.
    At the startup/power on you should see at the bottom of the screen either F2 or DELETE, go to Setup/Bios or F12 for the Boot Menu.
    When you have changed that, insert the Bootable disk you did in the drive and reboot.
    http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/tutorials/tutorial148.html
    Link above shows what the process looks like and a manual, it load the repair options.
    NeoSmart containing the content of the Windows Vista DVD 'Recovery Centre', as we refer to him. It cannot be used to install or reinstall Windows Vista, and is just a Windows PE interface to recovering your PC. Technically, we could re-create this installation with downloadable media media freely from Microsoft (namely the Microsoft WAIK, several gigabyte download); but it is pretty darn decent of Microsoft to present Windows users who might not be able to create such a thing on their own.
    Read all the info on the website on how to create and use:
    http://NeoSmart.net/blog/2008/Windows-Vista-recovery-disc-download/
    ISO Burner:http://www.snapfiles.com/get/active-isoburner.html
    It's a very good Vista startup repair disk.
    You can do a system restart tool, system, etc it restore.
    It is NOT a disc of resettlement.
    And the 32-bit is what normally comes on a computer, unless 64-bit.
    See you soon.
  • HP Officejet 6500 Paper Out status on the computer but the paper loaded and test page prints
    We have a HP 6500 CB815A, which works well for almost a year. As of today, we get "Paper Out" status on the computer, but there is paper loaded in the tray... the same high quality paper as we always use. The test printer utility reports the same status. However, the printer can print a test page and fax without printing problem status.
    I unplugged for 30 seconds to reset, but we get the same status.
    Someone has had this same problem and solved?
    Thank you
    Dave
    If you have not tried to reboot your PC, I would. If this does not clear the issue, I would follow the following steps:
    1. Click Start-> Control Panel
    2. Select uninstall a program (it's the heading programs)
    3. Find your driver HP software; Select it by clicking on it once, then select Edit. If the change is not available, select uninstall/change.
    4. Select repair and then follow the prompts for your software repairs itself.
    5. If your software does not have the repair option, it may be advisable to download the latest drivers from support.hp.com site. Uninstall the drivers for your printer, and then reinstall them using.
    If these steps do not work, please post and I can continue further with troubleshooting.
    Good luck
