Family security - access the BLOCKED sites.

Original title: why my son access BLOCKED sites cannot

I home school my son, so I won't be able to access the sites of games on the computer. I have its fixed to ALLOW only the filters, but it is still able to access these sites. Not only they are not on its GREEN list, they are on its BLOCKED list, but it is still able to access these sites. How to fix this. I downloaded FAMILY SAFETY to be able to control what sites it can go to... BUT I do not see where the PARENTAL CONTROL helped at all!

Hello

  • Security for the family of the Blocked Sites

I just looked through security to the family a few days ago.  I have blocked some sites and my child could not see, but now I see that it can display them.  What should I do to keep them blocked?  It can not access my account, the filter is light and the sites are still blocked in the family safety website.  We have windows 7.  Thanks in advance for your help.

    Hello

Thanks for posting your query on the Microsoft Communities.

I'm sorry to know that you have problems with the blocking of Web sites using parental controls. Let me try and help you with this question.

One possible way to solve this problem is to refresh the web filtering settings for your child by turning and then by following the steps below:

    1. connect to https://fss.live.com using your Parent account.
    2. click under the user name of your child.
    3. request for Web filtering, check the Disable web content filtering , and then Save.
4 tick to enable web filtering you can adjust the slider to different settings.
    5. Save.

After that, refresh the client of parental control to update changes made via the Family Safety website. To update the client, click the icon with the arrow on the upper right.

To update the family safety filter, follow these steps:

I hope this helps. If you have any other questions, we will be happy to help you.

  • Has received a Trojan warning while accessing the Web site. Was - this legitimate?

I was visiting "memory lane" when a warning popped up on Trojans.  I didn't know about the "fixit" downloading as my wife told me that a person might be hacking us.  Had to get out of the internet to access my Panda security.  The message "microsoft", said that she had detected 32 Trojan horses, however, Panda found 1.  Any info or were there problems with this type of warnings?

first of all, it's a 'good' thing you do not fall into fear and then commit the patch program because it would have infected your system.

These types of sites are known and exist everywhere on the internet.

my suggestion is to install and run "searh spybot and destroy" and inoculate your system.  keep it updated regularly and run too regularly.

the freeware will add hundreds of URL in the host file that are known to be dangerous and prevent anyone to visit them through the browser.

with regard to panda.  I think it's ok.  the problem is that if we found a Trojan and removed, then you need to monitor the system and see if it keeps reappearing.

If so, then it means that you have an apparently harmless program installed that is implement the Trojan horse on your system.

Finally, since you haven't found an infection on your system so it can also be in hibernation in the system restore points.  so even if your system can finally get rid of the infection, it can be reinstalled if restore you a system infected restore point.

  • Help to access the blocked account Hotmail

My daughter has been blocked since her Hotmail account.  A few weeks ago, she tried to log into his account and she received a message saying that Microsoft believes that someone is using my account and she had to verify his identity.  The problem is that the questions on the form are questions she can answer because she had the account for so long and don't remember not much information she gave when she first set up the account.   It responds as fully and completely as possible, but she keeps a reply back that there is not enough information.  We found a site where we could email and talk to the people at Microsoft.  They informed us that they will not take phone calls home to check who's daughter.  My daughter and I have provided a list of more than 25 emails received in this account, which must still be in the Inbox.  One of these emails came from the law, let him know that his test results was ready and it has not been received into that account up to December 23 and has not been opened because he was sent at the time that his account has been blocked.  Absolutely no one would know she was expecting that email if they were not him.  They still won't give her access to his account.  We are desperately seeking advice that anyone here can give us.  It has submitted applications for college and scholarships all registrations than e-mail.  She is currently taking classes in college for dual credit and receives all its information from there to this e-mail.  She only uses email for important communications about the school, but the places she submitted as email to are just to many for us to save and to give a new e-mail address.  Somebody, please help us!

We cannot help you, we are just members of the public just like you.  However, I can tell you what helped me many years ago

It was around 2005 or 2006, I remember exactly. I fell for a phishing attack - I've been tirkced by typing my password into a fake website which looked like Microsoft, but was a fake. They used to access my account, buy a ton of Xbox games and more. I reported it, and Microsoft quickly locked the account because he had been the subject of fraud. They me refund all the money, but never unblocked the account. Then when they did, they foolishly sent me confirmation of it on the account has been locked. It was like saying "hey, we have your car to the shop, and we locked ékes inside you th.". Grrr.

They could not be made to understand that I could not access the account as they were telling me that my password was. I tried for days to explain this concept.  I ended up having to open a complaint with the Better Business Bureau, which could get him degenerate and finally find someone with an idea to call me.

  • AVG Internet Security maintains the 'blocking' Windows updates

I am running Windows XP Home SP3 on my machine. I recently pushed a rootkit/trojan infection. My AVG Internet Security v9 is running and updated very well... something which it did in a month because of the infection. My Windows Firewall and automatic updates are enabled. (Which is also disabled during infections). I went to the Microsoft site and downloaded/installed the critical updates 43 (the infection had turned off automatically updated). However all the time I download and install the updated my AVG kept popping up with a deadlock message:

    'au.download.windowsupdate.com/msdownload/update/software/crup/2012/07_467626d3805abcce3d926b85d8928a20d5edc05b.exe '.

(I continued to close the notification window and download or install updates. Each of them went through).

My Windows security shield has an exclaimation point on this subject.

Is it is a sort of conflict between AVG and update of Windows?

Please HELP... it makes me craaaaazy since it appears every 20 seconds or so!

    Thank you very much

    LuniLadi

    Anoop P K,.

Thanks for the suggestion on disabling the antivirus! I didn't turn off the whole program (which would be 'reisdent shield' on AVG). I have disabled the internet part (shield online) since it pops up constantly during the update downloads.

Sure enough... that did the trick. Updates downloaded and installed.

This part of the virus program is turned back on.

So far so good. Automatic updates seems to be to download and install without any interference of AVG Internet Security.

Thank you for taking the time to help.

  • local host to access the vpn site to site with nat static configured

I have two 881 routers with vpn site to site between them. I have a static nat on the router for a Web server that is accessible from the internet. I can't access the Web server through the vpn. All other traffic is fine its VPN. I think that there is a problem with the NAT. Here are the relevant configuration lines.

IP nat inside source overload map route SDM_RMAP_1 interface FastEthernet4
IP nat inside source static 192.168.150.2 bonnefin map route SDM_RMAP_1

    allowed SDM_RMAP_1 1 route map
    corresponds to the IP 100

    access-list 100 deny ip 192.168.150.0 0.0.0.255 192.168.123.0 0.0.0.255
    access-list 100 permit ip 192.168.150.0 0.0.0.255 any

You should be able to access the web server with its IP private (192.168.150.2) through the VPN connection.

If you just add the VPN and the road map, try to clear the existing translation and see if you can access it via its private of the Remote LAN VPN ip address.

  • Why can't I add an exception in the security of the Web sites dialog box? There is only a remove, remove and a close button.

The bar top security dialog box States exceptions: "passwords for the following Web sites will not be saved:" Unfortunately, there is no way to enter the website! I'm puzzled.

    Hello

You must enter the log information on the pages themselves, and Firefox will ask you if you want to save this information or not. If you do not save this information, you can see the sites listed in this dialog box.
