Family security emails do not include my child's name

I have 3 accounts of child whose I am a parent. I get periodic reports of weekly activity for each, but in all cases, the names of my children are never included in the subject or body of the email. The names are supposed to be here, because the subject and the body say ' weekly activity report for. Nothing just after 'for' in both cases.

I can understand generally by sites that's what kid, but clearly there is something wrong.

Rich

I think first of all, I would check to make sure that the child's account has a name that is put online.

  1. Log on as the account of the child on the computer.
  2. Go to http://account.microsoft.com and sign in with e-mail and password its address.
  3. Click on "Edit your information" and make sure that a "display name" is listed, as in this example from my account:

    Hi Jose-

Is the account to which you try to add a Microsoft account money (i.e. * address email is removed from the privacy *), or is it a local computer account (Windows 7 or 8/8.1 and say account on this device)? In order to get your child to purchase features-page expense fund, you must have a Microsoft account for your child.

  • My sent emails do not include photos.

Under tools - options - send - Mail Sending Format & News Sending Format I checked the HTML settings in both. Also, I checked "Send messages with photos."

These photos are so in an email that you transfer? So this is how the image has been sent to you. The best thing to do would be to transfer the mail as an attachment. Or save the images on your HARD drive and the garnish or attach them. You can insert or attach a photo of your choice and send to yourself, I guess?

  • 'reply to all' does not include the sender of email - why?

    I am on Messenger 9.2

When I hit "reply all" on an e-mail message, the sender of the email is not included. Why? (sometimes he doesn't, but mostly). I have to type additional e-mail separately. You probably received a lot of emails from the scam of the Republic of Benin or Nigeria, like me. I send scathing responses. But the author is not included, unless it is manually entered.

    Thanks for your thoughts.

Cannot confirm. It must be something specific to the sender.

  • All of a sudden I can't open attachments to emails. I get a message that the 'security settings' do not allow. Where are these settings and who put?

I use TWC (Time Warner Cable) as my server e-mail and Firefox as my browser. I went to my emails and has attempted to open an attachment and got an error message stating "security settings prevent the download file. Well, I contacted TWC, Norton and my PC settings. It seems that Firefox is the problem! If I use another browser ie: Google and go to my email account, I have no problem. I remember recently that Firefox did a download of updates and this may be the cause of the problem.

Thank you for your private message with the error text: "your current security settings do not allow this file to download."

Firefox partially integrates with Internet Explorer security settings for download purposes. You can realize your Internet Explorer settings to the 'Internet' zone by following the steps described in this answer to Microsoft forums:

    http://answers.Microsoft.com/en-us/IE/Forum/IE8-windows_other/error-message-your-current-security-settings-do/59cc236d-7baf-4552-92ff-b34b9a6942aa

Note: Traditionally, the Internet Options dialogue box was available in the Control Panel, as well as in IE. Not sure about Windows 8.1.

  • Cannot bind two family security accounts

I have Setup parental controls for my family on a laptop running Windows 8.1. We also have a Windows 7 PC that I installed the safety on.

However, I am unable to link accounts created with the 8.1 parental Windows with Windows 7 users. When you set up parental control the fall down to the two children has not been shown in the accounts to map to-only accounts of both parents were shown. That's why I had to add a new user, and now I have two users for the same child who, of course, makes it a bit difficult to manage restrictions etc and also translates into several emails per child.

Doing a brief search, I came across a reference to a feature to "bind the members of the family" but I am unable to find it anywhere on the Family Safety website.

Anyone have any ideas on how to get users of Windows 7 and Windows 8.1 related between them?

Good luck but I don't think you can link family safety on two different platforms. I can't find anything to suggest that you can.

  • How accurate is the information gathered by the activity monitor web family security?

for example, looking at the user interface, there no way to tell (that I can see) which is a HTML file which has been specifically requested, and which settled called from this file (images, ads, etc.). Is this information stored somewhere and displays all simply not, or if it is not followed?

In addition, it would be good to know what content has been entered directly, and what had happened to a link. Finally, the time spent on a web page would be really good... obviously this isn't an accurate measure, the children could open a web page and walk, but, for example, I would be much more worried because my kids typed in www.adultsite.com that if they clicked in some way a link to this site, then left a few seconds later. The latest tells me that my teaching takes hold.
    Thank you

    Hi Dan,.

The details collected by the Family Safety web activity report are that you can watch directly on the Family Safety website. This includes the site visited and the amount of visits on this site. Other information such as the HTML file of the site, the time spent on a specific Web site, or how the child visited the Web site is not available. If you want to have these functions available, you can send it as a feedback here:

  • Email will not be made via ePrint

I have properly configured the ePrint on my iPad mini and now also put in place on iPad my wives Air. Normally, works fine on our HP6180, including printing of the enamel. (NOTE to HP - no need to tell users to change their settings for Gmail to allow less secure applications, if not, won't check!). Anyway the problem I have is a Gmail account that will not be rendered via ePrint on iPad to my wife but OK printing via ePrint on mine! 4 pages of random characters, she sees on the screen (NB not HTML) and the same appears when mail is printed via ePrint. However the same mail sent to my iPad renders correctly on the screen and prints OK as a mail of 2 pages. I also watched it on a PC, both via the Outlook and Internet Explorer client and the mail is clearly HTML (even though I'm not an expert, I see that it is what it is). Is there another setting on Gmail, it does change? I see not all the settings on ePrint. It's just that an email that day that has the problem, it is purely text but is formatted as a table. Any ideas?

In addition to the update: I forwarded the problem return email to iPad to my wife and she is now very well. Something to do with the header on the original mail maybe? It was not corrupt as my wife could view and print OK on his PC Gmail account.

  • PDFMaker, Outlook 2010 & Acrobat Pro XI - certain attachment types not included in PDF output

    Hi all

First of all my PC is Windows 7 operating system, Office 2010 and Adobe Acrobat Pro XI (v11.0.0). We use the Acrobat PDFMaker COM Add - In for Outlook for convert and add e-mail in PDF portfolios, because it brings together our emails in a relatively permanent format, even including attachments.

However there seems to be a problem with attachments 'image', are not included in the output PDF file after conversion. There is no problem for other file types. I tested .xlsx, .docx, .pdf, .msg attachments and all are included in the PDF output without problem. But the images (.jpg, .gif) simply do not come through at all.

If after you have created the PDF file I have manually save the attachments in the email and add them to the PDF add without problem. However they just do not appear as attachments in the PDF when using PDFMaker.

I hope that makes sense and would appreciate any assistance that can be provided.

Thanks for the suggestion, unfortunately it did not work either.

After reading this: http://community.spiceworks.com/topic/187419-adobe-acrobat-convert-email-to-pdf-issue, it seems that the problem is that our administrators have prohibited access to the Outlook security Temp folder which I assume is where are stored the image attachments.

Workaround proposed in this thread (by dragging the email on the desktop and the conversion from there) works very well so I would say this to someone else who has this problem.

Thanks for your help Rave & Bill.
