    Hello

Have you noticed a higher temperature?
The cell surface feels a little warmer?

The point is that I got a similar message on the problem of fan cooling, but it wasn't a problem with the cooling of the modules, but a software problem.
I got the laptop using the Toshiba recovery disc and such message never appeared again.

I think you should recover the device too just to check if it is just a matter of software.
Otherwise, you would need contact Toshiba ASP in your country to get the cooling modules controlled for possible malfunction.

  • Fan cooling 90 b on Windows 7 Pavilion dv6-3225dx error

Hi, I have a HP Pavilion dv6-3225dx, winddws 7 64 bit laptop for over a year and I started to receive a black screen at startup which said cooling fan error 90 b problem.

The problem started when I was still at school and I had to watch this long movie for an assignment.

The error would only be the beginning on all 2-3 weeks or so, one or two times, and especially when I turn it night and turn it on again 12 hours the next day later. I tried to update the BIOs from HP support assistant menu, but twice the update failed once it restarts after a update.

When the laptop starts it starts smoothly without problem, and the fan does not strong when the error screen appears.

A friend told me it might be dusty inside the fan or the fan needs to be replaced. But I thought I'd ask around on the forum to see if anyone has a solution (maybe something is not installed?)

the BIO system version is F.29

    Thank you!

    Hello:

    Your friend is correct.

I would try cleaning first cooling system since it is the best thing to do.

Unplug the computer and remove the battery.

Get a can of compressed air at your local office supply store.

Put a toothpick in the air intake fan and place it between two of the fan so the fan blades don't pinwheel when you spray compressed air, as setting the fan will ruin the bearings.

Spray the air in two ways - through the socket of the fan and the exhaust fan vents. Do a couple of times until you see no more than dust coming out ducts.

Failure to remedy the problem then maybe the fan/radiator Assembly will be replaced.

Looking at the specifications of product for your laptop, it seems that the Fan/Heatsink Assembly you need is

    603690 001.

Consult the service manual, Chapter 3, page 21 for more information and Chapter 4 for the procedures for removal and replacement.

a few minutes after the start of my Satellite 5200 903 (xp home sp1) an error message apears: "problem with the cooling system, shut down your system and send it to the service ' (this is a free translation of the German..) I installed a temperature control tool, the software displays the temperature of the processor about 60 ° C, but I don't hear the fan...
    Can anyone help?

    Hello

You have a good chance that it is only a cooling module.
This warning message usually appears because the CPU cooling module can cool the CPU properly or it does not.
However, the best way is to contact the Toshiba service partner in your country. Ask the guys notice and I am sure that you will get an appropriate response.

  • Replacing the fan cooling on Satellite L305-s5919

Looking for info on how to replace the cooling on a model of Satellite L305-s5919 fan. all over the internet and all, but this model saw.

    Thank you

Before you exchange the cooling fan you have to disassemble everything laptop. How this is described in the manual, but the problem is that this document is not a public document, so you won't be able to find it for download.

I guess that's portable US model, so you can ask for help on the Toshiba U.S. forum.

  • Fan cooling on Qosmio F60

Whenever I try to stop the laptop, the screen goes black, but the power button remains lit and the cooling fans go crazy. This continues for about 5 minutes, sometimes more... I then resort to stop manually. This also happens when I put the screen down...

Anyone know what could be wrong with my laptop?

It is not easy to say but I guess some regular background process block turn off and the CPU activity increases and result is fast cooling fan running.

Before you turn off your Qosmio open Task Manager and try to stop some background processes that can block it.
If this will not help let us know.

  • Fan cooling on Satellite M45

The cooling fan comes on 3 times a minute to run about 3 seconds. I read the previous posts and have followed the suggestions like cleaning the cooling fan, checked for specific tasks or processes that run in the background.
I also modified the power setting to reduce the speed of the CPU. Is it possible to have the cooling fan running constantly at a low level rather full spead for a very short time and that often?
    Nick

    Hello Nick

Your question is very interesting and the performance of the processor to lower the level and method of cooling, it should take an influence on the cooling fan.

In your post you mentioned not in which case cooling fan works so often. It will be interesting to know if this happens always or just if the processor or graphics card work at a very high level.

Try to remove energy saving and to check the status again.

  • Qosmio G20 - coolant warning/error

    OK, so I have not yet had problems with cooling and now today when I booted up just got this message;

    "Warning system".

WARNING: A problem with the cooling system has been detected.

If please turn off immediately and return it for service. »

A soft purr escaped from the bottom left of the part of my computer, on the location of the DVD player [there is no disc in the drive]

I then reset the computer and has not yet received the message, but the soft hum was still there.

Is it possible to access this easily fan at all? He's probably just a clean place.

I REALLY don't want to have to send it even as I use the computer a LOT and he doesn't know how long the service may take.

    Hello

The information provided by jmatthews are really awesome.
Qosmio G20 is one of the high-tech notebooks, and it supports various sensors that provide several messages if the laptop hardware and the operating system does not work properly.
Everything looks like cooling module malfunction

As was suggested by the fan could not turn the full implementation and is not able to cool the processor properly.

I recommend you contact the service point in your country for laptop and cooling module control.

  • Update Bios Z400 - now "fan chassis before error 513 not found' I don't have a front Chassis Fan!

This machine of LOVE and just build one for the gills - power of 600 watts (oem) recently added as well

Has made updating the BIOS and now it is stuck at the start with 'chassis before 513 error not detected fan' - I can F1 passed and everything is good, but of course I need a fix for this.

This device does not have a front chassis fan.

I'm a NEWBIE here and would certainly appreciate some entries.

    Thank you

Not a windows experience rating bad, huh?

Such as already reported here, over, do a search for "Ghetto Mod.  There are two main positions for this of me, one for the xw6400 and another for the xw4600.  Your case best fits the xw4600 case, but there is more information about Noctua in the xw6400 post.

Read both... the answers are all there.

    Hello Dan

What to say? You can contact the service provider allowed in your country and try to order one there or you can googled around and find if an online store offering laptop parts.

Oh Yes. You can also check eBay. You will find many hardware components for various Toshiba laptops especially for older models of laptops.

  • Fan of correction, error, but for how long? (T410)

    Hello

I recently inherited a Lenovo T410 (2518), who was a computer job. The warranty expired in the middle of last year, and I understand that he had been in office use since around 2010. I don't think it would have done intensive heavy work either.

Shortly after that I had the, I started getting the "fan error" message during boot, I understand is quite common with these models. I gave the computer of a friend of a friend, who works in it. He was able to resolve the problem of dismantling the computer and the fan spray with some kind of expensive silicone spray. What troubled me is that when he gives, he said he could work for another 5 years or 5 minutes! He also said that if it were to fail again, he wouldn't a repair value.

Has anyone ever corrected their mistake of fan in the same way, with good results? Or is it better to replace the fan - and if so, are there good instructions on how to do it?

    Thank you

Replacing the fan isn't brain surgery. All what you need to know is in the HMM:

    http://download.Lenovo.com/ibmdl/pub/PC/pccbbs/mobiles_pdf/t410_t410i_hmm_en_63y0535_06.PDF

Please note that there are two types of fans, make sure you get one that matches the graphic on your specific model (integrated vs. discrete).

I meant $200 as a resale value, assuming the machine of lower range and the United States. No idea on what it is worth to you.

    Good luck.
