Fan lights.

I have an Acer Aspire, which runs on Windows 7, and my fan runs more... at all.  Collapsed some time ago, and I only noticed it as I am on it a lot because of the school.  Is it possible I have a can re-enable it manually, or is this a problem with the parts?

  • Satellite Pro A300 - audio glitch occurs every time that fans lights

    Hello

I bought a Pro A300 under XP for the production of music and performance, but it is an audio click/glitch occurs every time that fans lights.

I used latency Checker and can confirm that it is the fan that is causing the Spike, and so the click.

Is there one way (software or otherwise) to have the fans on full permanently or (as after researching more I come to the conclusion) is an audio fatal flaw in Toshiba laptops, which makes them pretty useless for the scene.

    Thank you

  • Why the system idle process makes my desk fan light constantly

Why the system idle process makes my desk fan light constantly

The system idle process has nothing to do with your fan coming.  Your computer constantly monitors the temperature of your CPU and if this temperature is too hot, then the fans move on to high speed.  You can use the freeware 'CoreTemp' program to display the temperature of your CPU, if you want.  Temperature rises usually when the computer is under heavy CPU load but the usual cause of high speed switching fans is an accumulation of dust inside the computer and close the CPU fan.  Open your case and clean the dust.  A can of compressed air makes quick work of it.

  • Satellite C650 cooling fan lights up regularly

    Hello

I recently bought a C650 and find that the cooling fan will continue to run, even if the laptop is not too hot.
The fan will run for about 15 seconds, then turn off for 30 to 60 seconds before turning on the back. And this is of course not quiet!

My Toshiba Power Saver setting is Plugged In: optimized battery.
I can't run the Toshiba Power Saver in the C:\Program folder.
Is this a software or registry setting or warranty issue?

    Can anyone help please.
    Thanks in advance.

    > Is this a software or registry setting or warranty issue?
To my knowledge, software issues not covered by the warranty.

But just a question; you have the latest version of the BIOS?
The fan table that controls the fan activity is stored in the BIOS, so you must make sure that your BIOS is up to date.

    > I can not run the Toshiba Power Saver in the C:\Program folder.
I guess you have a Win 7 OS running on this laptop.
The Toshiba Power Saver is a part of the Windows 7 power management. Therefore, the settings within the Windows 7 power management.

I had similar problem with my fan. Improve the management of the power of Win 7 as described here:

The doc describes Vista power management but it looks a lot like the Win 7s

  • Why the fan lights up constantly?

Why the computer shuts off without warning from time to time?  When stop manually, why the screen freeze 'Windows is now Shutting Down' and then not put it off?

The fan goes on and out constantly after the start.  The computer sometimes shuts for no discernible reason.  And it freezes during shutdown under the words "Windows is now Shutting Down" then does not turn off.  There are 31 updates that it does not seem to accept.

This looks like a problem of overheating as already indicated by Jose. I disconnect the computer from the electrical outlet, press in and hold the power button for 5 seconds. Remove the side panel from the computer and look for a dusty atmosphere. If present get a can of air compressed, available in most retail electronic dealing and purge by making sure that you get between the radiator grilles (the grid around the processor as in the picture on the link below.

  • HP Omen: Y at - it a way to turn off fan on HP Omen lights

On the forerunner of HP, there are red lights that light up in the vents back fan which seems odious when at College. Is there a way to turn off the fan lights, or is it just permenantly on?

In the omen of HP Control Panel, there is a LED brightness slider.

Movement that to 0 and all the lights will be turned off.
Unfortunately, I didn't have to disable just the taillight while leaving the rest on.

I'll look into that, though, in which case it is.

To me, this looks like a motherboard problem.
In my view, replace the whole motherboard.
But it s only my personal suggestion, if you want to be 100% sure what's exactly wrong with you laptop, then go you and technician of the notebook check.

PS: Don't think that a card mother Equium A60 - 155 to insert in the notebook Equium L10-273.

  • Satellite Pro L450D - start/stop the fan, constantly power

    Hello

I recently bought this laptop, and the fan is driving me crazy, whenever the CPU reaches 55 c, fan lights up really high for a few seconds, until the temperature goes down to 45 c, the fan turns off completely, then the cycle repeats indefinitely.

I changed the method of cooling for optimized battery and has no effect - http://jkontherun.files.wordpress.com/2009/10/toshiba-nb205-power-options.jpg?w=418&h=448

Why can't the fan stay on permanently @ 30% of the load and thus negating the need for it ramp up to 100% to each time the processor overheats.

I can't believe such a simple little question like this still exists.

As I can see for hip's maximum performance. If you use your laptop computer with the AC adapter / CC assign battery optimized too.
This will reduce the cooling fan activity.

  • Fan almost constantly on my Equium A210-17I

    Hello

I've had my laptop for a good few weeks now, and, apart from the occasional black screen, I'm very happy with it. Today, however, I noticed that the fan is almost constantly on when I don't know that it didn't need to be. Despite the laptop being on a good few hours, I'm in a very cold room and the underside of my laptop is barely warm.

I read somewhere in the nets of the Satellite that the fan lights up in response to the use of the processor. (In addition, or whatever the temperature?) It seems strange to me if the fan has not responded to temperature.) However my CPU usage is quite stable and rarely more than 15 percent tops.

I've also read about fan.exe, but I reason to think that it is only to turn on the fan when it won't turn? In addition, I would negate rather fan, but rather increase the threshold of what turns. There are apps for that? I had a look around vista and Toshiba applications pre-loaded, but can't seem to find anything (even if I uninstall a few things after reviewing the bloatware).

If anyone can point me in the direction of a solution, I would be extremely grateful.

Have you ever tried to install some software most recent powersaver to your computer, and then is installed?
The other thing would be that the end fan/cooling is obstructed by dust, if the fan is spinning because of it...

If it really won´t stop then I would first retrieve the machine in order to exclude some software releated problem. You are using Vista or XP?

    Welcome them

  • Problem with fan for laptop!

Hello, I bought a HP 2000-2b43dxbefore 15 days and I am sneaking suspicion there is problem wih fan / air on my laptop.

When I turned my laptop first and next 2-3 days, my fan was silent until I couldn't hear his work so its normal because when I turn the laptop there is no operation takes this fan needs to cool the components.

After using my laptop for 3-4 days I have noticed that my cooling fan starting immediately when I turn laptop and fan so it is quieter as the first 2-3 days. So my fan always cools, I can feel and hear, no matter what I do on my laptop. When I closed all my apps, the fan is still cooling for a long time. is this normal if I use the laptop only for internet and we know that the internet doesn't cause components to heat.

I have a photo of the user manaul, where we can see that fan to turn on and off successively during the routine operation, but my fan is almost always on. Here is picture

Have the fan lights is usually automatic. Depends on the laptop to the extent that utility controls the cooling fan.  My current product HP Envy17-3002ea a HP CoolSense book loan, but not all laptops have it. Some portable cooling is controlled by an algorithm in the BIOS ROM, which is based on the temperature ramp (delta) in the motherboard and CPU.

The fan come on your laptop starting up is quite normal. If the temperature is too hot the CPU turns off as self protection.  There are a number of Programs utility we can use if we're slightly paraniod on the temperature of the processor of the laptop, but so general, it is not really much to worry.

    Best regards

  • Laptop Toshiba, yellow light malfunction

I have a very strange problem with my Toshiba laptop. Most of the time my laptop power adapter is connected to the socket on the wall and his PIN is inserted into the Jack of the laptop. In case of power off of the switch of the socket on the wall then back to turn on laptop will not start, throwing a light yellow as charge, in this case I have to pull the pin plug adapter from the laptop and then insert it back and he begin to show.
But it is interesting if the yellow light is not displayed then, she sees sometimes completely and sometimes she stays to the point where it was before (doesn't load but to power the system) I remove the plug and insert it at the time beginning, projecting a light yellow and charged.

It's normal job a few days ago, until what I carefully cleaned the fins of the fan with the fan light. whenever I have would put the AC power switch he was running on battery power and as I turned it and then seeing yellow would begin to show and I don't have to play with the Jack and the PIN.

Battery and adapter that both are very good and functional the way I said above. Full battery lasts about 2 hours at full capacity. Pulling and inserting on the pin of the computer laptop-jack adapter to ensure it is supported is a pain.
    Help, please...

I guess I'm the only person who has bought a laptop toshiba useless, now it's time to throw this toshiba laptop... bye you all

  • Satellite L100 - cooling fan does not start up more

    Hello

On my L100 laptop cooling fan doesn't seem to work! It does not start up more and after awhile the laptop shuts down as it is too hot. What can we do?

    See you soon
    Mark

    Hi Mark,

The fan lights normally the POST process before loading the BIOS. Your laptop will continue to boot normally, I presume that your fan control electronics is still viable, otherwise the MESSAGE would fail. So, it seems likely that the problem is with the fan itself. I suggest you check that the fan will run in fact and it missed upward (try to blow strongly in grids).

If you laptop is still under warranty, then you must contact an ASP to get the fan replaced.

    Kind regards

  • Satellite 1905-S303 - fan turns on every 2 minutes

Hey guys, thanks for your help in advance.

I just noticed that my laptop fan lights quite often.

    I have a Satellite 1905-S303.

How many times you ask? -The fan runs about every 2 minutes, and then it stays on for about 1 minute. (So the cycle takes about 3 minutes). Things continue to go all the time, even if the computer does nothing.

Other than that, the seams fine computer. The computer does NOT turn off overheating.

    Is this normal?

I just noticed this and can't remember if it has always done this. (Although I don't think)

PS - I tried dusting the gills of the computer with compressed air, but nothing has changed.

Other than that, the seams of the computer to function very well.

    Thank you guys!

    > I just noticed that my laptop fan lights quite often.
I don t think it would be a bad thing
The point is that the fan lead on if a certain level of temperature has been reached.
    This is nothing unusual.

I have the same problem, but I can control my Toshiba Power Saver cooling modules so I can set the parameters of battery optimized in order to reduce the speed of the fan.

Maybe you could do that too.

  • HP 15 f018dx: fan noise

Since the 'fan always on' disable in the bios my laptop hp-15 is very quiet. It is now a pleasure and it is just as quiet as my friends laptop HP-15 F018dx (which has the bios F04).

If I play a game, the fan does not turn and step on it because I think it should be, but then he goes right, return to calm less than a minute after I finished the game. In the past, the game (asphalt 8) would make the fan lights quite noisy and then sometimes he would really loud as a Jet engine out of the blue, usually after playing the game more earlier in the day. Now the fan is still very quiet. I put my ear close to the laptop to hear a silent snoring also sounds very low hard drive. The laptop also seems generally quite cold to the touch, not warm.

In any case, disable the fan always option in the bios seems to have solved this problem of fan for me without having to change its current F25 to a previous one as F04 bios.
