fan noisy pavilion g7 1033 cl

I have a HP Pavilion g7 1033 cl and the fan started making noise, looks like something is rubing on the blades of the fan (don't forget put a baseball card in the spokes of your bike?).

I tried blowing vents to air compressed and gone into BIOS and disabled fan always without success. When the fan turns on, which is almost always, makes noise.

I need to get detailed instructions on how to get to the fan so I can check to see if something is rubing on the fan blades.

Also, I would like to know where I can get replacement parts in the event that I need to replace it.

(I typed it the fan stopped while the bios setting works)

Hello

Instructions that are in the maintenance and recommend Service Guide, which is available on the manuals page for your laptop, but I would not necessary unless your quite handy with disassembly and reassembly electronic.   In addition to the instructions to remove the fan, you can find the part numbers that you should then be able to use to order the necessary spare parts from the HP parts store.

Good luck!

  • Pavilion G6: Replace fan on Pavilion

I realize this is probably a general 'fault' with most laptops, but why the hell don't manufacturers build their machines with fans that are accessible, like all hard drives seem to be. Moving parts are obviously more likely to wear or fail over time and, as far as I can see, there are two types in a laptop, the HARD drive and fan.
Replace a HARD drive can be done in an hour or two (eg. On a G6 Pavilion, it requires the removal of two screws and careful replacement) but to replace a cooling fan, we're looking for a good ten or twelve hours (eg. On a G6 Pavilion on the only part that doesn't have to be physically removed and put in the back is the screen, I lost count of the number of screws).
With repair shops charge as much as £80 per hour that it's cheaper to buy a new machine that pay for a piece of a £20 replaced. I suspect that there is a general scheme by all manufacturers to ensure that their customers replace their machines after expiration of the warranty, rather that attempt to repair a machine that works perfectly but needs only a 4oz part replaced for another couple of use of it.

Thought so, just be a bit lazy, I guess.
Want to do things (and do it myself), some pride self creeping in.
    Thanks for your comments.

  • How to replace cooling fan HP Pavilion g7-1139

Need information on how to replace the coolant on my Pavilion fan g7-1139 series laptop please.

    Hi, Rick:

It seems that the g7-1300 series manual would apply also to the yours... same hardware specification...

    http://h10025.www1.HP.com/ewfrf/wc/manualCategory?cc=us&DLC=en&LC=en&product=5214430&

There is no manual related to the support page for your laptop, and the g7-1139 is for older hardware (1st generation core processors).

  • e7240 CONSTANT NOISE OF FAN NOISY / FAN RUNNING ALL THE TIME

We received 2 nine E7240s directly from Dell, one for me and one for my colleague. As soon as I turned it on to build for my colleague, I noticed that the machine was overheating and the fan made a noise. Dell offers an upgrade of the BIOS that has not changed anything. They then changed the radiator, even once, that does not change and since then, they have changed the motherboard. My colleague went on vacation, so I don't know if the problem has been resolved, however, my laptop day you do not overheat (also of course as it has done for my colleague) BUT THE FAN RUNS ALL THE TIME. So much so that I think that the person in the room upstairs is using his hairdryer. Dell has replaced the heatsink of heat and the motherboard yesterday, I did the same update of the BIOS and the problem is even worse. As soon as I turn the thing, the fan runs all the time making a big noise. My predecessor was the E6500 and I was not bothered by noises, he did.

The 7240 made so much noise that I want to throw it out the window , seriously, I go back to my old 5 years e6500, which is now very slow, I can not just take constant hair dryer of the fan noise! I'm waiting for Dell back to me, but I don't see what else they can do.

I suspect a problem of design with newer models, someone with a laptop computer Latitude 13 also mentioned it on the Forum, someone else with an e7240 also said "I noticed the fan turns most of the time - it's quiet, but you don't know is spinning."  I just implemented, so the CPU is busy enough. "A person with the e6320 says"and the fan is noisy and turns far too often.

I just bought a new Dell Latitude E7240 with Windows 7 laptop and had the same problem with overheating and the fan is running loudly all the time. I just fixed it on my laptop, it may not work for everyone but just in case I walked it here.

The index for me was that the question has happened at home, not at work.

    • Using the Task Manager, I found that a "svchost.exe" process was always running at 25% of the CPU, i.e. to take 100% of one of the 4 hearts. For this you need view all processes, and that's why you need a local administrator account if she asks permission.
    • With right click on this process-online 'Go to services', you can study what services are hosted by this instance of svchost.
    • For each of these services, try to stop one at a time (if it helps) and see if the CPU usage goes down. For me, a clue was a service stuck on 'Stop' but never stopped.
    • The service which for me was the "HomeGroup provider." That's why the issue has happened at home and at work. The laptop had spotted my homegroup on my home network, but had not been able to accede. Maybe a problem with IPv6 that I could not turn on my desk.
    • In the Services tab in Task Manager, get on the service properties, which set to Disabled Startup Type.
    • Restart the laptop, to ensure that the service is stopped.

That did the trick for me, and now the CPU remains less than 5% when idle. This isn't the problem that the fan is noisy when the CPU usage is high, but for me what rarely happens now.

If you want to access files and printers on your home network without the homegroup feature, you can still do that the old way:

    • Network and sharing Center-Online avancΘs => Homegroup Connection-online 'use user accounts to connect to other computers.
    • Also in the settings advanced: enable discovery network. and Turn on File and Printer Sharing.
    • Then, you can click on your wifi network => add a printer.
    • If your office does not appear, click on "Not listed", then browse. As long as the network discovery and printer sharing are enabled, desktop PC should appear and you can connect using your local Windows user name and password.

    Hope this helps someone.

  • Fan noisy and slow speed for the Macbook Air with 10.11.4

I hope you can help me.

I upgraded 10.11.4 on my Macbook Air a couple of days. It is a model of 2013 Mid, 1.7 Ghz Core i7, 8 GB of RAM.

I don't know exactly what my last update was - but was El Capitan any.

I tried LANDAU and SMC resets.

Previously, she has chugged along fine. The fan was quiet most of the time - only hit on when I used Lightroom.

Now, the fan kicks on regularly, most of the time actually. And it's MUCH slower. Very lag sometimes when you type in Wordpress, for example. And lightroom is much slower. Also, when I use FaceTime, video often turns itself on and off--with a message informing me that it will resume when the computer cools down. Yet the back of the computer does feel not hot at all.

I tried page of Chrome in Safari. Doesn't seem to help much.

I am currently traveling to the Peru and did not my hard drive with my last backup, Time Machine, by hand, so as I understand it, I can't go back to a previous update.

Right now, I'm trying to download the Combo, I read that this can sometimes fix glitches.

    Any help is greatly appreciated!

The kernel uses excessive CPU cycles. Here are a few possible causes for the State. Some may not apply to you.

    FileVault

Please, open the security and privacy pane in system preferences and click the FileVault tab. If there is an indication that the encryption or decryption is in progress, wait (possibly several hours) so he can finish and see if there is an improvement.

    Limitation of the

When he does readings of high temperature in the material, or a MacBook battery low voltage readings, the kernel can try to compensate by interrupting the processor to slow them down and reduce energy consumption. This condition may be due to:

☞ an accumulation of dust on the logic board

    High ambient temperature ☞

☞ a defective battery or worn in a laptop

☞ the malfunction of a cooling fan, temperature probe, a probe or some other component voltage internal

Note that if the problem is caused by a sensor, there can be no real overheating or undervoltage.

If the computer is portable, try with and without the power adapter connected. If pigs kernel_task processor only on current alternative, load is causing the machine to heat up. This behavior may be normal for some models, but it can also be an indication of a hardware failure.

Apple diagnostics or the Apple Hardware Test, although not very reliable, is sometimes able to detect a fault. For more in-depth material test, an appointment of 'Genius' to an Apple Store, or go to an other authorized service provider.

If all goes well with the material, then everything that you can do to improve the cooling can help.

    Software installed

The software installed by the user which includes a device driver or other kernel code can thrash of the kernel. This category includes virtualization, such as Parallels and VMware software, as well as products 'anti-virus' more commercial. Some system monitoring applications, like "iStat", may also contribute to the problem. You can test this possibility to completely disable or remove the software according to the instructions of the developer or start in safe mode. However, it should be noted that the deactivation of a modification of the system without removing or test in safe mode is not as easy as you think.

    Corrupt NVRAM or MSC data

Sometimes, the problem is cleared up by resetting NVRAM memory or MSC.

    External display

Connect an external display to some models of MacBook Pro while the lid is open can cause this problem. If necessary, use the external clamshell modescreen.

    Other devices

Disconnect devices wired everything except those needed at startup and remove all the expansion cards of third parties (if your model.) If the problem is resolved, reconnecting devices one by one by one until you identify the culprit.

Remove the top cover will give you full access to the CPU fan.

Remove just the keyboard could give you enough access to blow the fan.

Instructions to remove the top cover begin on page 61.

Don't forget that the laptop has cooling vents on the bottom which must always stay away. You should only run the laptop on a hard surface and not on a pillow, bed, etc...

There are also available laptop cooler carpet that have built in USB powered fans.

Before disassembling the laptop, you can try using a can of compressed air and blow into the intake/exhaust vents.

  • CPU fan noisy in Satellite P200-17 b - how to remove dust

My toshiba p200-17 b is now several weeks ago about 16 months old, the CPU fan works conttineously all the time.
The air fan, I see there is a lot of dust in the CPU fan.

    What should I do now?
Is the clean cpu fan included in the warranty?
Is it possible to do this cleaning by myself?

    Yes, you can clean yourself.

For this, you can use compressed air jet and could blow the dust from the fan. Should not disassemble the laptop.

But before this, shut down your laptop.

  • Acer TravelMate P653 - fan noisy at startup

I didn't not use my laptop for Christmas as I was away. He was left connected to the power grid, but turned off.

The first time I started after my return started abruptly fan when starting Windows message appears. It remains then to near maximum speed, long after everything had loaded. It's never happened before.

I managed to work around it by pressing Fn + F4 which puts the laptop in mode 'sleep'. After several seconds, the powers of the fan facing downwards.

If I then press a key to wake up the laptop everything which is very good and the fan does not work at high speed. I hear him quietly running in the background.

For the rest of this session, the fan is behaving itself. But when I start the laptop from the cold the entire process starts again and I have to repeat the actions to turn it off.

I'm puzzled why he did this. I uninstalled and reinstalled Acer ePower Management v6.0 through the eRecovery Management utility but it made no difference.

I also checked the BIOS (F2 at startup) and can see nothing that affects the speed of the fan.

Any help to fix this problem would be appreciated.

    PROBLEM SOLVED!

In the end, it was something simple, but I really don't understand why this action fix.

With the laptop off, I removed the battery then removed the power cable. I then put the battery and reconnect the power cable.

Propelled to the top that the laptop and the fan do not supply at maximum speed.

Thanks for your help Lawrence and I hope this can help others.

I want to upgrade the CPU in my Pavilion g7 1033cl i3 i5 or i7 for better game performance.

    Is this possible?

    What processor to buy?

    Thank you for your help

    Max

You can upgrade insofar as an i5 - 480 M. here's the Manual:

    Manual link

Don't expect any major improvement in the game. Game made in the graphics card (GPU) and not the processor (CPU). You are being held back by the Intel integrated graphics card. You can get a different motherboard for this model with slightly better graphics, but the cost and the difficulty would be worse than just buying a new laptop with the video you need.
