fast and standard package in Flash builder

In my IOS project, I need to load some SWF files.when I debug in IPad, if I use the fast package, all right, but if I use the standard package, my program doesn't work normally, a load of cann't SWF correctly, it allways monostable #1107 and #1065 errors, why? Can someone help me?

Standard packing compiles your application code and the AIR runtime down in native ARM instructions.

Quick packaging includes AIR runtime in the IPA file and interprets the code of your application.

(This video may be useful: http://gregsramblings.com/2011/06/13/video-interview-with-scott-petersen-about-how-ios-pac packaging factory /)

Because Apple does not interpret the code in iOS applications, you cannot use fast packaging for something that you submit to the Apple App Store.  Loading an external SWF when running is not something that is permitted by the Apple restrictions.

  • Impossible to install IPA using a standard package in Flash Builder 4.6 (Air 3.1)

I created an application hello world that doesn't use any external resources (it draws just a box on the screen) and I can't seem to be installed in one of my iDevices (5G, iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, iPod touch run all IOS 4 or above) using standard packaging in Flash Builder 4.6.

When I try to install the IPA file using the iPhone Configuration utility it comes up with the error:

"Could not install application on the device. Error: a signed resource has been added, changed, or deleted. »

If I use the fast option in Flash Builder to package then I don't get any errors and the application installs works on all devices. The problem with this option is that I want to run performance tests and obviously using rapid option packaging not give me the actual data.

  • package of Flash Builder 4.5.1 .ipa

Can someone explain to me what is in the package .ipa for Apple iOS?

I opened the package and I am not Objective C code.  IOS contains just a SWF file?

Fix. The SWF is compiled code. Only on the iOS is converted to machine code ActionScript bytecode. On other platforms, the virtual machine AIR operates directly on the ActionScript bytecode. And there is never any generated in Objective C or Java code.

You can write and compile ActionScript in a number of ways, not to mention that Flash Builder. Flash Professional has its own code creation and compilation tools. You can also use the command-line compilers in the Flex SDK and an IDE (or the code editor) of your choice.

  • Extension for CS 5, 6 and versions CC in Flash Builder 4.6 fails to initialize

    Hi all

I develop an extension for Illustrator CS5, 6 and CC versions. I use the versions of Flash Builder 4.6 and Extension Builder 2.1. When I create a new project and add a minimal support for CS5, I am unable to view the design of the project resulting. I don't understand why. If I add a minimal help for CS6, design mode works very well. What is behavior?

Also, I expect to use datagrid spark in my extension, it supports smooth scrolling. I'm not able to do the same, as the extension never initializes.

Here's the screeshot of the compiler settings:

    issue1.jpg

And here's what I get the error:

    issue.jpg

What can I do to make my work?

    Hello

Unfortunately, the Design view is completely unusable with the Extension Builder 3.4 needed to create a CS5 extension... So, you will see a black screen instead of your user interface. The only solution is to write your code and test. Previous versions of Extension Builder working on a previous version of Flash Builder and Design mode worked as expected...

  • Strobe Media Player broke after assets.swc of compilation and compilation project in Flash Builder

I use CS5.5 - Flash Builder 4.5 and Flash Professional 11.5.1.349.  If I import a new Strobe Media Player 1.6.328 project into Flash Builder and compile, it works as expected and the StrobeMediaPlayback.html page load in my browser and behaves normally.

Then I load assets.fla into Flash Professional and don't edit and publish a new assets.swc.  Then I go back to Flash Builder and refresh the StrobeMediaPlayback project and recompile.  This time when StrobeMediaPlayback.html loads in the browser, the SWF Strobe is instantiated on the page but is not executed, i.e. no play button and no bar scrub down, just a black box.  The black box right button brings up the Flash menu so the SWF load has it but stopped somewhere running.

I try to get the debugger working in Flash Builder, but so far without success.

I hope that someone has seen this before and has some ideas.

    Kind regards

The problem was simply to fonts.  Fonts in StrobeMediaPlayback/assets/fonts must be installed in the operating system.  In my case Windows so just right button on the font file and select install.

Enlarge the image in actual size and notice that the interface of Flash Builder looks blurry.

    Please solve this problem.

    Andrey

I had the same problem - could not believe my eyes on how horrible and blurry Flash Builder looked on my new Macbook Pro w retina.  Through she had suffered since last week and have just discovered this work around that someone figured out for Eclipse that also works on Flash Builder (guess b/c it is built on Eclipse).  Here is the link to the bug report that shows the work around (thanks to Brad Hudgeons):

    https://bugs.Eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=382972

Here is a cut and paste from the bug report in the case of the above url is deleted:

Here's the workaround: Do "Show package contents" on the Eclipse.app. Edit Contents/Info.plist. Just above Place this: NSHighResolutionCapable

Instead of Eclipse, display the contents of the package on Adobe Flash Builder 4.6.app.   After you change the Info.plist file, go to the Adobe Flash Builder 4.6.app and reproduce.  It will create an Adobe Flash Builder 4.6 copy.app.  Delete your original Adobe Flash Builder 4.6 and rename the Adobe Flash Builder 4.6 Adobe Flash Builder 4.6.app copy.app.  Then launch Flash Builder - you should see the text which is much clearer.  The graphics on the user interface are still unclear but at least the text should be crispy.

  • Flash Builder 4 - some basic Questions

-Very well, I'm a total essential with flash, so I apologize for the nubbish garbage, I will say...

.. .and like any node of forum, I apologize if this is in the wrong forum.

That out of the way, I have a few questions.

First of all, I would like to get the software to create flash games, flash animations and web design in general. I guess that Flash Builder 4 is the right software for it? If this isn't the case, please let me know what is.

I'm quite familiar with the Eclipse IDE for Java. I read somewhere that the environment of the building was "based on Eclipse,' which for some reason any actually surprised me a lot. This environment of standard construction with FB4 or is it part of something else?

Assuming that it is the correct software, and this is the right section to ask, where would be a good place to start to learn flash? I have a computer science background, so I know the basics of most of the stuffs programming. The program built in tutorials? They are all good? I'll probably use w3schools for more help as well. Where can else I learn some tips?

Also, I noticed there are a few discounts for students. I attend college full time, so is that enough to be eligible for discounts of such?

    Hello

You can create animations and games with Flash Builder, but honestly, I think you'll find more easily and more quickly using Flash or Flash Professional because it gives you easier control of this type of installation (Visual rather than code).

Flash Builder (Eclipse) is really the best way and the most common is to develop Flex applications, you can use the standalone or plugin Eclipse and dive into it with full functionality in both. Is there another IDE, but personally, Flash Builder is still my favorite and actually convinced me to use Eclipse more for other projects and languages.

Adobe has great resources for getting started, there are also some fantastic courses on lynda.com, which is where I always go to form upward on a product or a new topic (I'm not affiliated, just a fan), including on a Flash animation which may interest you with ActionScript 3 animation, there are some courses. Most of these forums have some great people ready to answer and help with questions, also Adobe Press books are great to touch the ground with. Shameless plug I've also conditioned videos on my site www.uibuzz.com.

I'm going back to my first paragraph if, I think Flash is likely to agree with you're needs more Flash Builder, but the great thing is whatever allows you to become familiar with the ActionScript 3, all this applies, my background starts with Flash, and then moved to Flash Builder with little or no re-learning other than the Flex framework.

    Hope this helps,

    Kind regards

  • Design of GUI/Graphics in Flash Builder

In Flash Pro, you can make different screens for your app (IE menu principal, options) and separate them into different "clips". Exactly how can I do a complex GUI and store it in Flash Builder? Wouldn't be bad practice to separate each screen in its own class that extends MovieClip? Then add one to the scene and remove and add another when the screen must be turned on? Or just visibilities of swap?

visibilitys swaping is a good idea as long as it is no animation running, enter frames or timers that interact with hidden clips. and use the visibility and no alpha. alpha clips are calculated, even when they are 'invisible '.

in the sense of ease, the 'best' is to implement your structure of movieclip in flash, export it as a SWC library and import it into you project in flash builder. don't ask me how this works, I don't use flash or flash builder. just Flash develop.

  • Adobe Flash Builder 4.7 plugin utility does not install on Eclipse

I try to install Flash Builder 4.7 Plugin in Eclipse. I downloaded Flash Builder Premium via Adobe Creative Cloud. I also installed Eclipse Indigo. I'm running this on Mac OSX.

According to a tutorial, I found that I need to go to the Utilities folder in the Flash Builder, install and run the Adobe Flash Builder 4.7 plugin Utility. It seems to work very well. Afterwards, you should be able to see "Flash Builder" in the Help menu of Eclipse. However it is not. You should also be able to Flash Builder preferences under window-> Preferences. Flash Builder is also not visible here.

According to the tutorial there are also this file ' fb-4_7-plugin - encoded.link ", created in the eclipse's" dropins"folder. This file is created. However, it is empty.

I looked in the Setup log and it there was only a single message about.

    Move File: Destination: /Applications/eclipse/dropins/fb-4_7-plugin-encoded.link

    Status: WARNING

Additional Notes: WARNING - There was a problem moving /Applications/eclipse/dropins/fb-4_7-plugin-encoded.link

I'm not sure what it means that the documentation seems to be quite rare. However, it seems to be the only problem in the whole installation process. Any ideas or suggestions on what could be causing this error would be great.

    Hey,.

I actually solve this problem.  I forgot to come back and respond.  Hope this helps to Stefano.

    Please, try the following steps:

Rename the default workspace "Adobe Flash Builder 4.7" (on Mac, it is located at users/username/Documents/Adobe Flash Builder 4.7) and try to start Flash Builder.

Even if it does not work. Please uninstall Flash Builder and use the cleaning (from this location http://www.adobe.com/support/contact/cscleanertool.html ) tool to clean and re-install Flash Builder.

  • Flash Builder cannot locate the required Adobe Flash player debug version

    Hello

The problem seems to be well known for the last few years and older versions of Flash builder, but I feel that it is still not resolved for Win 7 64 bit, Flash Builder 4.5.

    I have installed:

    -Flash Builder 4.5

    -windows 7, 64 bit

-The most recent Flash Player - 11.3.r300.257

Please, let me know how to properly use debugger in Flash Builder 4.5 without error message below:

"Flash Builder cannot locate the required Adobe Flash player debug version. You need to maybe install the debug version of Flash Player or reinstall Flash Builder"

    SebaR

This is a known bug in Flash Builder 4.5 and 4.6.

It will be fixed in the next version of Flash Builder.

The workaround for Flash Builder 4.5 and 4.6 is to download the two 32-bit & 64-bit debug player.

  • Flash Builder or Flash Professional?

    Hey,.

Wondering your opinion that it is better to use? Flash Builder or Flash Professional?

Personally I want to drop profesiional flash and just keep developing in flash builder, but before I I want to know if I'll lose all the benefits or acquire and whether it is a good decision?

I can code everything in flash builder and love working in flash builder on office games Mobile Games environment AND sometimes.

So, what do you think I should do? What do you think.

    Thank you

Flash builder is more restricted than the flash pro.  But if you do not use all of the flash pro design tools/timeline etc. and you are happy with flash builder, use.

  • Flash builder why? instead of flash professional IDE

Sorry if I seem ignorant but most developers and businesses said it is absurd to use professional flash instewad flash builder IDE.

I am totally ignorant and thought that flash builder was FLEX - that is to say: I have no idea how to program in flex - I can only code in AS3. I'm off track here. What is the advantage of flash builder? ALL the tutorials I've read are on flash and almost never on flash builder - am I getting confused? Generator flash everything easier ID like an environment of coding in AS3 but adding many features to mnake - IE: no difference in coding or the swf produced etc...

In addition to what the other guys said, Flex Builder (now it is called Flash Builder), Flash IDE, FlashDevelop, FDT and other programs are just development environments that come with some additional benefits. The result is the same - swf that is no different in the heart no matter what environment you are using.

Conceptually, you can write code in a Notepad, compiler point swf and you will get swf.

Although the Flash IDE has improved over time as a development tool - it is not a match for environments more sophisticated such as Flash Builder or FDT and FlashDevelop. Note that other than the IDE Flash environments are based on programs that are used by the developers in other languages like Java. For example, Flash Builder is based on Eclipse. This is significant because for many reasons that Flash IDE can not live up to what more robust platforms has evolved into. Unlike the other tools and frameworks, it is very difficult (sometimes impossible) to accommodate the Flash IDE for the development of industrial power. Deployment and version control are the major headaches in the Flash IDE.

Flex is just a library that is developed on top of AS3 the same as you build your own classes (this is statement is true 95%). Of course, as mentioned, there is an additional way based on xml to develop Flex applications, but in the end, everything is translated into AS3 and compiled. Therefore, Flex application is essentially just a Flash application (and here the word Flash is used as a name of the technology as a whole).

If you are unsure on what to accept as main tool, remember that the Flash IDE is a tool inherited which Adobe inherited from Macromedia. With the introduction of Flex/Flash Builder Adobe clearly demonstrated a commitment to a business oriented plus technology. Latest version of Flash Builder comes with an attempt to integrate Flash IDE workflow. Basically, the only step left is some kind drag timeline environment in Flash Builder and Flash IDE did die. It is my personal opinion.

In addition, Adobe is trying hard to integrate their products into a framework/suite so that charts are developed where more natively (Illustrator, PhotoShop, etc.) and export them to the Flash format and programming tasks are accomplished in Flash Builder. It's called Adobe Catalyst.

I have an idea that Adobe is usually very eager to kill the Flash IDE. The only thing stopping them is, perhaps, they do not want to piss off an already agitated crowd of designers who are reluctant to adopt OOP.

The fact is that, together with the fact that the IDE Flash is natively a very awkward tool to use for true OOP development, I would recommend to anyone to move away from Flash IDE towards something more sophisticated.

Of course, it is sometimes necessary to use the timeline to create graphics, but with the advent of physics and 3D libraries - chronology begins to look more in more lame, even for the animations.

In my opinion there is virtually none of the qualities of redemption in Flash IDE at this stage.
