  I like to keep auto-updates for Adobe Reader XI but I don't want the users to see a prompt to install Adobe Reader DC. Is it possible to do this? There is emerging an our Terminal servers, it is to appear on our desktop computers and he is popping up on our workers to remote computers.   I noticed yesterday that this time machine turned when I was on finder. (the small wheel circulating)  I checked and the last update was December 27, several days ago.  I have not updated anything or any news apps in.  Nothing has changed.  I am running Yosemite 10.10.5. on my day 2010 27 "iMac.  After searching for communities, I saw one say to uncheck "put the hard drives to sleep when possible" under the energy saver.  I did and it made no difference.  I get all records of time machine that there is a problem, he just keeps trying to update.  I disabled the time Machine for some time and then restarted, it and got the same.  I removed the current and then attached to time machine backup drive, but no difference.  (the disc has 855 GB 2T available and is about a year.) Have no idea that it would take 5/6 days to prepare to be updated even though I had added something new.

  If I update to El Capitan would be it reset Time Machine.  I've been putting it off power to ensure that most of the bugs are out.
