Fax line down to PAP2T

I have the VOIP PAP2T adapter to work. The line fax, connection to the adapter does not work. I tried it disconnected / reconnected without success.

Can someone help me? I connect to the Setup screen, but I do not see the restart feature.

OK I have done the troubleshooting more

I re - enter the IP address in the fax parameter.

Connect analog phone to the fax line, but I couldn't hear the tone. I have heard nothing but static noise.

I called the phone normal fax line, but I've heard that short high ptch fax sound and he just ERA. However, when I called a different fax machine from outside of the company, I heard his long ground fax for fax.

This happens when you use the automatic document feeder to copy or scan?  This is probably a place on the strip of thin glass used for scanning with the ADF.  See the Solution 2, step 5 in this document.

This means that there is a place (dirt or tinted), on the ADF scanner glass. Try to clean the glass of the scanner ADF with fluffy. The ADF scanner glass is on the left side, under the ADF.

  • HP photosmart 7520: HP photosmart 7520 fax: failed the test on status of fax line

HP photosmart 7520 fax not only the 'fax line condition test', indicating the fax line has a weak signal.  Bouquet of use digital AT & T with a telephone line.  AT & T verified digital line and was OK.  Read an answer from FAQ indicating a test line fax failure condition may be due to a digital line vs a line analog and a digital filter can be a solution.

Is there another solution in addition to the digital filter solution?

    Thanks, UnitLeader 2

    Hi UnitLeader2,

Thank you for reaching out to the HP Support forum with your request by fax.

I understand that you have a 7520 Photosmart of HP printer e-all-in-one that does not respect the line the condition test fax, even if AT & T checked and said it was OK. I would like to help.

Here is a support document which deals with the types of telephone lines different and various options - using an HP all-in-one or a product of Fax on a PBX, ISDN, or DSL phone systemof configuration.

I don't know if they do it, but you could see if your provider offers a voice over IP service (VoIP). Here is a document of support, you can view - Fax with VoIP Services.

Please let me know if that solves the problem, or if you need assistance.

Return it to the store for assessment.   It is in the warranty period of 12 months, so it could be replaced if you insist that you are in the United Kingdom.   Otherwise it is covered by your warranty and is either replaced or repaired according to the countries.

  • thin horizontal black line down page what scan on HP Officejet Pro 8600 more

I've owned an HP Officejet Pro 8500 and scan was perfect.  I recently bought a HP Officejet Pro 8600 Plus.

When I scan from the ADF HP 8600, I get a thin (several pixel wide) black along the lower edge of the analysis that results.  This line will be sometimes slightly twisted or appear only through half of the page, in which case, it tends to become thicker towards the edge of the page).  According to me, this line is an artifact of the analysis of the edge at the bottom of the original document.  I think it is to show where the bottom edge of the page was when parsing.  If the document is that a little offset, then the black line down will be a little twisted, probably following the edge of the page.  This issue is consistent and reproducible.  It is in the mode "Scan mail" and in mode 'Scan To Network Folder.

When I scan from the flat bed, I get a very narrow black line along the side of the analysis resulting very superior, but the background seems in good condition (although I have not tested this widely).

These fine black lines occurred when scanning the HP 8500.

I wonder if there is a setting to adjust it, or if it is a firmware difference between printers needs debugging.

    Hey KenAlker,

There are a few things I want to check if you have lines when scanning using the 8600. I see that mention you that lines appear both through ADF and flat glass. There may be something both of the glass sections used by this printer, but more often that otherwise, this isn't the case.

I would check if the printer is connected to a surge protector. If this is the case, then try plugging the 8600 in a direct outlet. Often the surge protector can cause this problem appears because the printer has a built.

    Also, try a hard reset:
    * Unplug the unit while the
Disconnect the other end of the wall socket direct
    * Wait 30-60 seconds
    * Plug the unit to the top

Also, try to take a look at the steps in the document found here.

    I hope this helps.

  • HP Officejet 4500 G510g-m: displacement of fax line dedicated to sharing with phone line.

I have a HP Officejet 4500 G510g-m all-in-One and Windows 7.  Never any problems.  In recent years, I have been fax from a dedicated line, separate from my regular telephone line.   I decided to save money and my phone line fax.  Other that simply move the fax line to a separate socket to the same wall jack as my phone and change the fax number box, is there anything else I should do?  I did not move the phone cord to a different port on the fax - should I?   I already ran a fax test and passed.

    Thanks for any info.

9/29 - I just had a friend try to fax to me.  The phone rang and rang even if I set to 2 rings.  It's never logged and sent a fax.

9/29 again - I have an answering machine.  I changed it to pick up to 4 fires and fax to pick up 6.  I had a friend try to fax, it has not been connected.    He received my faxesbut that I can't get any sound.

Looks like the problem may very well be Vonage. Since I msgd you I found 6 people with the same problem and none of them have been solved. I'll have to give up and return to the dedicated fax.

Thank you very much, Rich for all your help. It was a pleasure to work with you. It's just a pity that all your hard work has not solved the problem. But at least you know if someone else asks you for help with the same problem and they have Vonage, it's hopeless. Laughing out loud

    Bye!

  • OfficeJet 6500 all-in-one - black line down page

Our newly purchased Officejet 6500 all-in-One is the production pages with thin black lines down the page about 2/3 of the way through the page (right side of page).  Is there a solution to this problem?

This was only happening with ADF.  After several cleanings with no changes, I found this forum.   After reading the plug on the glass, I went back and really clean the glass.  This has allowed the problem.  Thanks for the forum.

  • Fax line has a weak signal

I recently changed my Lan line provider and I cannot send a fax from my HP Officejet 6210 all-in-one.  Even if it is an older device, he only had limited use.  I ran a test report Fax and everything past the test accept Fax Line Condition Test received a failure.  I want to assure you that I didn't need to change the settings on the device to send a fax with the new line.  The connection is a line of Vonage lan that connects to my Comcast cable and the Linksys router.

  • Why my scanner is putting a line down the length of the scanned page?

Every time I scan using the ADF, I get a line down the length of the scanned image. How can I fix it?

Scans are correct when using the tray

    Hi again!

Cleaning the scanner glass is different from the ADF. Try some ADF cleaning steps here.

I hope it works for you!

  • Incoming Fax page, left thick black line down the side edge

    Hello

I recently bought a HP Photosmart 7520 printer and had to return because of a wrong switch ON / OFF the printer.  So I returned and bought another. This second printer works perfectly so far!  However, when I recieive a fax, the page has a very thick Black Line crosses the length (less than an inch from top and down) on the left edge. It almost seems to be a template for a fax page?  The first printer (a returned) did not do that, but it does not appear on the second printer.  In addition, the original page fax I sent to my friend and he said, that it doesn't have a thick black line on the fax page, he gets... and then he sent me along a return fax with this black line appears.

    Comment of thoughts,

    SyBerGuy

    Hello

For more than a week since my last post. And I also had the printer connected to an outlet of power strip surge protector (never needed to connect directly to a wall, which I would have if I had a problem).  The problem has been resolved by replacing the large black ink cartridge, which was not printing text.

In addition, earlier when I check the ink level, he showed the graphics still about 1/4 rest in the cartridge. I had also previously clicked on tell me when the ink level is low. None of this happened?  So now I have to watch closely what is printing a page of text clean/good.

So for now, the printer is good to go and I hope not to have more problems... thank you for your help!

  • 5610 all-in-one - black thick top of line down on the pages scanned using the scan feeder tray ONLY

Using HP Officejet 5610 all-in-one I've had for years and maybe 6 months ago, I noticed that anything that is analyzed by the load plate (if you need to scan a bunch of pages without having to analyze each page individually between analyses what is tedious that need constant attention) has this thick black line goes up and down on the middle left of THE pages scanned. Honestly, it looks really bad like if there is something hidden in this terrible line through the process of moving the paper through the feeder, BUT the original is just fine without damage.

If I scan just a page by placing the document on the scanner glass, and then NO matter whatsoever.

    100% reproducible every time.

So I know that it has nothing to do with the glass (which is clean), but only when the scanned document must pass through.

Checked the forums for similar problem and found no exact match.

I imagine that an expert out there knows the answer to that high hand. IF you could speak up, I would appreciate it.

    I THOUGHT ABOUT IT!

    I read another post:

    http://h30434.www3.HP.com/T5/scanning-faxing-and-copying/HP-OfficeJet-Pro-8500A-plus-vertical-black-lines-only-when/m-p/1391261/highlight/true#M30268

who is mentioned on opening the ADF cover. Well I opened the whole Assembly, having absolutely NO idea how it all works, and I found a 1 "x 8.5" thick mirror (for lack of a better term) who had what looked like white paint on it to the place where the pages were probably getting the black line. I scratched, retested and the question was gonzo - that's all!

Then my wife just told me that she thinks that she knew what the problem was all along. She had put on a page and it had not dried, and she tried to put it in the charger to make a copy. She just thought that we were going to replace the printer even when and if ever, let me know. During this time it was me mad for months. What are you laughing at me? This all-in-one works very well for years - replace without good reason, must learn a new product, get new cartridges, out the same old, same old, NO way. If it is not broke, do not replace it!

  • I have a line down the centre of the Tablet, how do I get rid of it

My tablet is b1-720, that I have a line that goes down to the centre of the Tablet, that it appeared after I downloaded updates acer so uninstall all updates and return to reset factory I will lose all my photos and other things. Thank you john

A factory reset will delete all your personal data, but you should be able to back up first. Track my Google account which apps I installed and keeps copies of my photos. I have all my music on an SD card, so no need to save as. What you are more at risk of losing is saved games and other, where the soft maintains its own data. Lean on some of the backup applications further to see f you will be deep enough coverage.

I guess that a reset will not solve the problem. Most corrupt updates or installs only show when a specific application is running and tend to show more random errors. I think that to show a vertical line at the Center is much more likely to be material. Can you tell us is the width of the line? What color? Completely straight or a little staircase?

  • Two thin verticle high of lines down on laptop screen

About four months, suddenly my Dell Insperon 9300 displays a very fine white line, up and down, about 40% of the left side of the screen. In a few months it became yellow and the other has a purple, appeared about 3/4 of the way together. These lines are very thin and are there from the moment I start.
