  Basically, FDMEE is the tool of PMC to load data/metadata in EPM Applications. It is not mandatory in the stack of the EMP, that you can use for example, ODI.

  You can see as being FDM improved in several different points of view FDMEE (extract from engine, navigation, load of metadata, types of mappings, scripts, etc.).

  You can't spend only FDMEE but the entire EMP system.

  I'm trying to convert FDM Scripts scripts that would support FDMEE (using Jython as language) and the FDMEE API. However, when I tried it making I came across a few functions in scripts FDM for which I couldn't find replacement functions in FDMEE API.

  
  

  How a supposed to change functions VB in FDM as farsTableAppend while it is supported in the FDMEE scripts?

  I generated documentation of the API of the FIA FDMEE - APIs.jar (this jar is supposed to have all the API of FDMEE in there I guess) but I don't see alternative for functions such as farsTableAppend, fExpTRx, PstrClientType, VB, but I can see other methods in the documentation for example, getEPMOracleHome() etc... (All these functions that you can view by using eclipse as editor-in-Chief of Dev FDMEE).

  1 API map is not 1 to 1. My suggestion is to define what you want to do and then design your solution in jython (using the api or not). So what you're trying to do exactly?

  For example, you need not PstrClientType more (there is no windows client)

  2 AIF - CUSTOM.jar allows you to enter your custom java classes. then you can use it from your jython scripts.

• FDM & ERPI to FDMEE - update approach/challenges?

  We are in FDM/ERPI 11.1.2.2.300 (used for loading the data of EBS systems and files in HFM 11.1.2.2.300) and planning to upgrade (in the existing environment [upgraded on-site]) to 11.1.2.3. As we see that FDM/ERPI are integrated together as FDMEE in 11.1.2.3, we had gray on how FDMEE would work contrary to FDM/ERPI disparate large area.

  We needed contributions from veterans, or anyone who had lived the upgrade to answer subsequent queries.

  Queries:

  [1] we have come to know that the FDM and ERPI are integrated together as FDMEE in 11.1.2.3.

  [a] since we have FDM and ERPI as separate components in 11.1.2.2.300, how should set FDM and ERPI components upgraded to FDMEE? Specific measures which must be followed to approach?

  [b] are there any known issues / challenges involved in the upgrade of disparate FDM & ERPI to FDMEE?

  [c] how would work artifacts (11.1.2.2.300) ERPI in FDMEE - is there any specific migration, or any required manual adjustment after upgrade (11.1.2.3) to have artifacts of the ERPI (as the system source, time mapping, location, import formats, data load mapping etc.) running in the FDMEE?

  [d] Similarly how artifacts FDM (of 11.1.2.2.300) would work in FDMEE? Are there specific migration or manual configuration required after upgrade (11.1.2.3) having FDM artifacts (such as mapping, validation etc rules) running in FDMEE?

  [2] since only ODI 11.1.1.7 is compatible with 11.1.2.3 (from the compatibility matrix), how we improve 11.1.1.6 to 11.1.1.7 ODI? Y at - there a patch available to upgrade or should we uninstall ODI 11.1.1.6 and install 11.1.1.7 ODI?

  Any insightful answer will be helpful for us because it will help us gain clarity/confidence and comfort in the upgrade to 11.1.2.3.

  That you upgrade 11.1.2.2.300 for EMP 11.1.2.3 (in the existing environment [upgraded on-site]), it is called application patching EMP 11.1.2.3 on EMP 11.1.2.2

  [a] when you apply the patching, FDM 11.1.2.2 gets upgraded to FDM 11.1.2.3,.

  and ERPi gets upgraded to FDMEE 11.1.2.3

  [b] I have not encountered any questions while improving the FDM

  [c] Please check epm_install.pdf for EMP 11.1.2.3 for upgradation to FDM and FDMEE task (see page 257 / 258)

• FDM has stopped working with firefox

  Free Download Manager has stopped working with firefox after I speedup firefox opening. (not after restart or update of firefox) Before that, I used FDM on firefox. I already try with restart firefox and follow-up of the implementation under the quiz "Windows Media or other plugins stopped working after Firefox update | Firefox Help", but none of them worked.

  When you say after you speed up Firefox, do you mean you used the reset feature? You can tell because Firefox will create a new 'Old Firefox Data' folder on your desktop when you reset.

  The Reset function deletes your extensions as part of the cleaning process. You probably need to reinstall FDM from its original source. Maybe the Addons site? https://addons.Mozilla.org/Firefox/

  I get under alert for error loading data via FDM to HFM:

  0132 ~ LEGISLATION ~ SUMMARY ~ 201601 ~ RR. Could not import CSV. Error code = 20 source file if you please review to verify the integrity of the data.

  Please suggest what could be the possible reason and how can I remedy.

  I'm new to FDM. I have my trying to understand how the different parts of mapping affect. "In the administration of FDM Guide, Parent location is defined as.

  Locations taking place Parent defined as "[NONE]" will have their own unique independent mappings. Thus, any mapping changes applied somewhere else of the mother, has no effect on the premises with the location of the Parent "[NONE]".

  In addition, for a place with a valid address of the specified Parent, changes made to the maps of the location of the parent or the child's location will impact maps of the location of the Parent.

  The reason for the error is probably using SQL Server 2012, using a supported database and the appropriate permissions, you should be ok.

  the Validation report also gives the list of valid PKI/Custom members in a separate table.

  Members of the entity and the given account has ISICP attribute defined as "O", so I think that the Member of the ICP NONE for PKI in Member size invalid for this cross-section.

  So I checked the import and format the mapping rule PKI for givrn entity and account.

  I found under the rule of ICP Mapping in 'Like' card Type:

  Name of the rule Rule Desc. The rule definition Lens PEAK               Script                                             

  O_Set                                                            *0000                            [ICP None]

  So what I concluded that because of this rule, the PEAK target member is coming as [no PIC] for the account: 23450000 specific rule itself.

  So please help me to confirm if I think in the right direction and what possible measures I can take to fix this or something escapes me, so please correct me.

  Yes you can do, but don't do that if this account (23450000) does not need an intercompany partner that is check with the architect HFM / admin to confirm that is the case before making such a change

• Financial falied to application Web data quality management (FDM)

  I just installed Foundation, CM, LDCS, R & A (Server1) Essbase (Server2) HFM (Server3) planning (Server4) FDM (classic) and DRM (Server5) in a distributed environment. configuration and everything went very well no problem. How ever when I try to access the web application FDM that nothing comes, I ran the diagnostic report in the Foundation and FDM Server and I get below error. I tried relative to setting up web application Server FDM and re configured the Web server and logical address on Foundation.

  Don't know what I'm missing here from point of configuration, if anyone can guide me in the proper papers or suggestions would be greatly appreciated

  Are you sure that all the FDM components have been set up outside the EMP Configurator for example config Manager web, Application Server Config Manager, Configuration of load balancing

• Is it Possible to have 2 methods to load different run a lot in a typical Application of FDM?

  We run FDM Classic 11.1.2.3.00 with an ES11XG4-K adapter.  We have a request from FDM with 2 locations using the load method to replace. Is it possible have 2 slots have loads different methods; This is a have to use the Replace method and the other a fusion method run on a lot? If Yes, can someone guide me how to do it?

  See the classical FDM Administrator's Guide.  Batch loader files have a name format for specific file with the segment identifiers - starts ~ rental ~ Category ~ Period ~ LoadMethod.txt

  The tag of the Load method is a two-character segment.  The second character identifies the method load application target, for example "A" to append and 'R' to replace.  I think that's what you're looking for.

• FDM 11.1.2.3 connection problem

  We use FDM 11.1.2.3 application. One of the user is not able to connect to the application of FDM and get the error message below. We are able to connect to the application using the administrator account and also we created the Test user and gave access as similar to the user. But the Test ID works while the user is not able to connect. The user is to give the password correct and able to connect in other applications Hyperion HFM example.

• FDM and FR are unable to connect to the application of HFM

  We receive errors in the FDM and FR. (EN errpor: "error occurred when accessing the safe array"). they are unable to connect to HFM application even if HFM is in place. It's on and off selection until 2 days ago. Now, they are totally turned off. I can able to connect to FDM and FR.

  We have 3 servers environment. A foundation server, a second server HFM and in the third server we FDM and FR. I thought initillay it is the server problem, so I asked IT team FDM and EN in verse the other server. but it does not solve the issue.

  Firewall settings are disabled. We had no recent patches.

  This problem is solved. It's because of the Temp file is full. I deleted the files in the temporary folder. It's working now.

  Your vbscript.dll is corrupt. Replace with a good copy and register again via cmd regsvr32.

  Can you please let me know what the rule sets if we as * _12345.

  And all I can say is who defines the rule has not understood the use of wildcards in LIKE mappings. The * wildcard tells the mapping engine that it can match zero or more instances of any character, so the above 2 rules should be rewritten as * _12345 and * _56789 if the intention is to match any combination of characters before the given character literals. This is not to say * _12345 would not achieve the same, but is not an optimal use of the wild card of mapping of the constructions. If however intend to make sure that any combination of 16 characters must get the literal character provided then it should be rewritten using the? wildcard that matches only a single character, for example? _12345.

  Both these mappings would transfer on a basis comparable to FDMEE type
