FDM and SOX

Hello

I'm new to FDM. Can someone explain how is FDM and SOX connected.

PrathimaK

Hi Katia.

1. I'm sure, it must be in the docs.

2. If you saw controls (i.e. of the assessment and certification 302 404... etc).

3. even wikipedia might help you http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sarbanes%E2%80%93Oxley_Act

Hope this helps you and ask you to follow an oracle training, which would help you a lot to understand the fucntional and the technical aspect of the FDM

    We receive errors in the FDM and FR. (EN errpor: "error occurred when accessing the safe array"). they are unable to connect to HFM application even if HFM is in place. It's on and off selection until 2 days ago. Now, they are totally turned off. I can able to connect to FDM and FR.

    We have 3 servers environment. A foundation server, a second server HFM and in the third server we FDM and FR. I thought initillay it is the server problem, so I asked IT team FDM and EN in verse the other server. but it does not solve the issue.

    Firewall settings are disabled. We had no recent patches.

    Thanks in advance

    This problem is solved. It's because of the Temp file is full. I deleted the files in the temporary folder. It's working now.

    Hi Experts

    I'm doing the first time Configuration ERPI

    We are implementing Hyperion 11.1.2.2 FDM with HFM (adapter target = FM11X-G6-A) and ERPi (adapter Source = ERPI-END-E) running on 11.1.1.6 ODI. Back-end databases are all Oracle DBs. We have been able to properly configure ERPi and ODI and managed successfully as a rule of loading data with all green checks in operator ODI. We have successfully tested the complete workflow of FDM with HFM load using the traditional method of flat file.

    We also have a location of FDM and import Format (file Type = adapter;) Adapter = ERPI-END-E) for use with the adapter Source ERPI. When the kickoff to import via Web FDM we get the error: ORA-00942: table or view does not ORA-02063: preceding the line of FDMHYPERIONDEV.

    I would also check that application FDM database schema name is specified in uppercase in the properties of the Application:

    (a) to the FDM, login form choose and login
    (b) select the FDM application from the list, and then click 'change '.
    (c) click the database tab, and view the schema/user domain name. Make sure that the name is specified in uppercase
    (d) save and re - test the process.

  • Options of FDM and Hyperion Planning Mapping

    Hi, good day
    My team has an implementation of FDM and Hyperion Planning worm 11.1.2. We essentially use foot-and-mouth disease, because we need a place to keep the mapping tables different (friendly) to the dimensions of accounts, to be able to load the data.

    My questions are; When loading the data, we should always map sizes? Is it possible to avoid it?

    For example, in the model, we have 300 accounts, 20 entities and 400 products. We need to map accounts because they are different for all entities (in the source data), but not products. That is why I want to avoid mapping products (and maintain this mapping) when loading the data. Is this feasible? Any ideas?

    Kind regars

    Only you can do that, if you need to your dimension product to identify the data point in your application target, it must be active and must therefore be sought.

  • FDM and URL compatibility

    Hello world

    We installed Hyperion Planning on Linux, I read somewhere that FDQM is not supported under linux, but only on windows. What are the solution that we can adopt for use FDQM and planning of hyperion essbase on LINUX.

    I have two options in my mind.

    1. install on windows based machine.

    2 - use of Vmware on linux and install FDQM.

    In addition, the linux installation program shows that FDM is installed on our system. Are FDQM and FDM are the same things?

    Waiting for response.

    Kind regards.

    Do we not have to purchase a separate license for FDMEE? or it is available for free (we bought license EPM solution). We use hyperion 11.1.2.2 is FDMEE is available for this version with all the features?

    Thank you.

  • FDM and essbase

    Hi all

    I am trying to load of FDM data to essbase and I get the error file not found esbapin.dll and the export fails.

    Mike

    Mike,

    1 OK for FDM to connect to essbase, essbase client API is used. One of the files is esbapin.dll (that you can find in the folder bin of essbase).

    2. in your case, you who are missing.

    3. you must re-register the adapter. To do this, copy the essbase to bin adapter, connect on the workbench client, log in application FDM, sign up now.

    4. test after successful registration, if you are able to connect

  • FDM and Hyperion Financial Reporting

  • HFM and FDM tables

    Hi Experts,

    I want to know the tables FDM and HFM, through which Exchange rates are charged. I mean the FDM used tables and HFM tables used for the loading of the exchange rate at HFM. and how do I question them databases

    Thanks for your help.

    All data, same exchange rate, are loaded by FDM tDataSegx tables. Identify the location that you load through exchange rate and will give you the reference to the correct tDataSeg table. On the top of my head, I don't know the HFM table, but why would you want to query these tables directly as you can view the information you need - FDM both HFM in the relevant application forms?

  • FDM sign flip function account and Custom Dimension pairs

    Hello

    I have a requirement where I have to change the sign of the amount when you import the data to the PIF file, I am aware of the sign flip in maps where can pass the sign based on the story. The requirement that I got is a little different.

    I was given 40 pairs of accounts and Custom3 members and I will have to change the sign for these 40 pairs.

    For example:

    1 account - Cover_Premiums and Custom3: gross

    2 share of reinsurance matters – Cover_Claims and Custom3-

    If the data file is to have the above pairs the amount of those who should not change.

    I wrote a script to import and attached to the dimension of amount in the import format. The script is

    If len (strfield) > 0 and account = Cover_Premiums and Custom3 = gross weight then

    signflip = strfield *-1

    on the other

    signflip = strfield

    If len (strfield) > 0 and account = Cover_Claims and = Custom3 share reinsurance then

    signflip = strfield *-1

    on the other

    signflip = strfield

    End if

    End If

    End Function.

    The script ran end after that recording works fine when the file is imported and its reversal, the sign for the records, but the problem is his flipping the sign for all records in the data file.

    I guess that it is run if statement only until the len (strfield) > 0 and its performance not the rest of the condition in the condition statement. IE: account = Cover_Premiums and Custom3 = gross weight.

    I'm not an expert FDM and not even sure if this is the right approach to do it or not.

    It is a requirement that is very critical for me, please help me with this problem.

    Thanks in advance.

    In a script to import, you have two input parameters:

    -strfield: value of the column of the source file that is defined in the import format. In case you, amount field

    -strRecord: all of the data in row processing.

    If we need to check the account and 3 Custom fields, you will first get these values for the strRecord parameter.

    In any case, I would say that you optimize your code by concatenating account and Custom3.

    For example, if you have a delimited by ';' with 5 fields file where the account is in 1st position and Custom 3 in the 2nd:

    Function signflip (strField, strRecord)

    strAccount = DW. Utilities.fParseString (strRecord, 5, 1, ';')

    strCustom3 = DW. Utilities.fParseString (strRecord, 5, 2, ';')

    strAccount = strAccC3 & "-" & strCustom3

    If len (strField) > 0 Then

    If strAccC3 = "Cover_Premiums" gross or strAccC3 = "Cover_Claims-reinsurance" Then

    signflip = strfield *-1

    On the other

    signflip = strField

    End If

    End If

    End Function

    Hope that specifies

  • ERPi and FDM for 11.1.2.2 - adapter Source?

    Hi all

    Could you please help with the following questions concerning the ERPi and FDM for 11.1.2.2

    1. in general, what is a source adapter used for?

    2 in FDM installation package, there is an adapter (ERPI-END-E) for the ERP Integrator.
    I would like to clarify if my interpretation below is correct or not.
    My understanding is that this adapter allows automation of the ERPi data the performance rules of load in the application of FDM, which means that we can launch start the ERPi of planned work of FDM data loading State.

    Thanks a lot for your help.

    Hello

    1 Classic source FDM adapters are used to import data from the source system native support (EBS, SAP, ERPI) instead of files or databases. Let´s say that in some how the extraction process is already packed so you can extract the source system that the adapter don't

    2. you are right, ERPI is a product of the transition between the classical FDM and FDMEE (11.1.2.3), there are some features missing in ERPI FDM. Therefore, you had to use a mixture of ERPI and FDM in order to get full functionality. You use ERPI to extract the data and FDM to treat it (scripts, validation intersection report, etc.).

    11.1.2.3, gap is still smaller than that now we have scripts, report of validation of intersection and other features in FDMEE 11.1.2.3 (re-branded ERPI). The classic source of the FDM adapter still exists.

    In 11.1.2.4, as classical FDM is not available more-> no adapter source more :-)

    Hope that helps

    The letter Q.

    FDM is really called financial data quality management; However, it is abbreviated in some places like FDM and other FDQM.

  • FDM Hyperion - Purging database

    We currently have 2 databases SQL to FDM and we noticed one of the databases is growing quite rapidly. Is there a way to purge data in this database? He is currently at more than 100 concerts in volume.

    First thing first...

    Know what hold of your data tables. :-) (And it of just not in the database, be sure to read to the bottom...)

    If it comes to SQL Server, the following query returns a list of tables to sort descending according to the reserved size...
    ----------

    create table #Temp (
            name nvarchar(128),
            [rows] char(11),
            reserved varchar(18),
            data varchar(18),
            index_size varchar(18),
            unused varchar(18)
            )

    insert into #Temp     exec sp_msforeachtable 'sp_spaceused ''?'''

    select * from #Temp order by cast(replace(reserved,' kb','') as int) desc

    ----------------------------
    If it comes to Oracle, the following should work.

    NOTE: I've not tested this. I do not use Oracle DB and I used Google on this one...

    COLUMN TABLE_NAME FORMAT A32
    COLUMN OBJECT_NAME FORMAT A32
    COLUMN OWNER FORMAT A10

    SELECT
         owner, table_name, TRUNC(sum(bytes)/1024/1024) Meg

          ORDER BY SUM(bytes) desc

    Looking at an older version of a production application, I see the following distribution, although I can't say that all apps follow the same type of movement...

    So, unsurprisingly, most of the data is sitting in the data Segments and Segments of card data; However, the activity log is #2 in my database.

    Activity log is probably relatively safe to clean under the assumption that meet you the requirements of audit/SOX with your cleaning info. (i.e. empty each year, etc.)

    At the point of the other displays; However, the other tables will really cut into data and maps for the data. You must take a decision as to if it is something from which your group is ok. Perhaps you take the approach of windows and delete the old data after a period of xx?

    Finally, do not discount the raw data files, log files, temporary files and 'export' that are generated by FDM. In a relatively small application, we have accumulated almost 200 000 files over a period of 3 years. Don't forget to keep an eye on these files. Even if they are for the most part, small files, they occupy space! As for the database, I recommend an approach where you delete some of the files or even compress them into one archive for guard duty.

    Hope that helps.

    P. S.

    If you decide you want to clean up the data, the column PeriodKey in the DataMapSeg / DataSeg tables indicates if the data comes from. (i.e. the 00:00:00.000 2008-06-30) You can use this to run a script to clean up the tables for the data before a certain date, etc..

  • Financial falied to application Web data quality management (FDM)

    Hello

    I just installed Foundation, CM, LDCS, R & A (Server1) Essbase (Server2) HFM (Server3) planning (Server4) FDM (classic) and DRM (Server5) in a distributed environment. configuration and everything went very well no problem. How ever when I try to access the web application FDM that nothing comes, I ran the diagnostic report in the Foundation and FDM Server and I get below error. I tried relative to setting up web application Server FDM and re configured the Web server and logical address on Foundation.

    Don't know what I'm missing here from point of configuration, if anyone can guide me in the proper papers or suggestions would be greatly appreciated

    Foundation:

    FAILEDHTTP: HTTPCheck availability of HTTP context http:// < FoundationServer >: 19000/HyperionFDM
    Error: Codes bad response with the GET and POST methods both: 404 and 404
    Recommended action: Check that the application is started

    FDM:

    FAILEDWEB: Web ApplicationThe availability Web application context http:// < FDM Server >: 80/HyperionFDM
    Error: Codes bad response with the GET and POST methods both: 404 and 404
    Recommended action: Check that the application is started

    Thanks for any help

    Thank you

    So, if you go to http://fdmwebserver/HyperionFDM , then you get a 404 error?

    Are you sure that all the FDM components have been set up outside the EMP Configurator for example config Manager web, Application Server Config Manager, Configuration of load balancing

    The HyperionFDMAppPool was created, it is started, is IIS running ok, if the HyperionFDM has been created can see you in IIS

    See you soon

    It is native or MSAD user?  If so, remove the user completely and put back in service.

    Thank you
