• Hyperion FDQM AND ODI

  I DID RESEARCH a LOT, I just want to know when to use odi with fdqm and when just use fdqm alone, and why? and I can configure source map in fdqm and how? and fdqm supports importing flat files as a source and if so what sound adapter? I would be grateful if someone can help me on that I searched a lot but looks like fdqm information on the net

  I could see the excruciating pain, who know you. I will try to answer to the issue (among many others).

  1 ODI and FDQM, ODI can be assumed as a traditional ETL tool (infact it's ELT), while FDQM is not his sacred anymore to defend its financial data. For more information ODI, John blog is without a doubt the best resource.
  2. "all using FDQm", I would like to contact this way - there is a demand of HFM and data must be loaded from 3 different georgraphies of their respective (scales of audit) TB. These 3 different geographies have 3 different formats by the CT but nevertheless we must go in a single application of HFM. Then, you would use FDQM to load the data into the application of HFM. This also answers your question that, Yes, the flat files can be loaded. In our case, TB can be in flat files as well.

  3 adapters, if we intend to load data in applicatino of planning, we have separated adapters, if we intend to load in HFM, then we have HFM adapters available. You can find this information in the "readme" of FDM docs

  4. as said earlier, FDM is not an ETL, its responsibility is to verify the quality of financial data. Therefore, the name "data qualtiy management financial. Now, the classic scenario in many implementations is that data so loaded directly from Oracle Apps or EBS (in abbreviated ERP) in Hyperion applications. In this case, we use FDM with adapter called ERPi.

  Now, if a financial analyst looks at a number in one of the data forms HFM and realizes that it may not be true and questioned the quality of financial data. It can drill, return of the form of data in the source system EBS with the help of FDM. It is one of the major advantages.

• ERPi and FDM for 11.1.2.2 - adapter Source?

  Could you please help with the following questions concerning the ERPi and FDM for 11.1.2.2

  1. in general, what is a source adapter used for?

  2 in FDM installation package, there is an adapter (ERPI-END-E) for the ERP Integrator.
  I would like to clarify if my interpretation below is correct or not.
  My understanding is that this adapter allows automation of the ERPi data the performance rules of load in the application of FDM, which means that we can launch start the ERPi of planned work of FDM data loading State.

  1 Classic source FDM adapters are used to import data from the source system native support (EBS, SAP, ERPI) instead of files or databases. Let´s say that in some how the extraction process is already packed so you can extract the source system that the adapter don't

  2. you are right, ERPI is a product of the transition between the classical FDM and FDMEE (11.1.2.3), there are some features missing in ERPI FDM. Therefore, you had to use a mixture of ERPI and FDM in order to get full functionality. You use ERPI to extract the data and FDM to treat it (scripts, validation intersection report, etc.).

  11.1.2.3, gap is still smaller than that now we have scripts, report of validation of intersection and other features in FDMEE 11.1.2.3 (re-branded ERPI). The classic source of the FDM adapter still exists.

  In 11.1.2.4, as classical FDM is not available more-> no adapter source more :-)

• HFM and FDM on Windows server 2008R2 - 64 bit

  I am referring to v11.1.2.2
  
  I have services foundation, epma, calmgr, planning, eas and essbase running on server1 and upward
  
  Now I wanted to install and configure hfm and fdm on server2
  
  The installation done okay, but when I configure hfm I got error associated with impossible to locate the tnsnames.ora (DB Oracle 11 g 2 serves HSS, will be used for the HFM and FDM repositories)
  
  I searched the web and have found the discussions that I need to install the Oracle database client on the server server2 for HFM and FDM
  
  Issues related to the:
  
  1. my understanding is that FDM requires 32-bit Oracle Client and HFM requires 64-bit. Can I install both clients on server2?
  
  2. what type of customer that I will install? Director, Runtime or instant Client?
  
  3. are there any specific rules providing for the ORACLE_HOME for the customer. I put the same as on the DB server?

• HFM and FDM ODI Client Installer exe files

  We want to install HFM and FDM clients on some users machines... they install exe for Clients files... I could not find them...
  
  Please guide me.

  'Customer' Hyperion financial management, you need to start the main installation program and select the client part. (i.e. an installer for everything, just choose the right option!) I know it's his operating system 9 and earlier; However, I say not 100% sure if 11 system is like that; However, I can't imagine it to be different.

  To FDM, simply select the Workbench option in the main menu installshield to get the installed client.

• HFM and FDM tables

  I want to know the tables FDM and HFM, through which Exchange rates are charged. I mean the FDM used tables and HFM tables used for the loading of the exchange rate at HFM. and how do I question them databases

  All data, same exchange rate, are loaded by FDM tDataSegx tables. Identify the location that you load through exchange rate and will give you the reference to the correct tDataSeg table. On the top of my head, I don't know the HFM table, but why would you want to query these tables directly as you can view the information you need - FDM both HFM in the relevant application forms?

  According to my knowledge goes, FDQM does not work with Cube ASO. Can be planted in and correct it. It works with BSO for sure.

• Rules NoInput and FDM

  Hi guys,.

  I'm not really good with FDM, but I don't know if a NoInput rule will affect loading data through FDM.

  HS. NoInput ' V # < entity motto >.» RPTNG #GL_SAP

  This rule would make it impossible to FDM for loading data at this intersection? Could you please share your experience?

  We installed Hyperion Planning on Linux, I read somewhere that FDQM is not supported under linux, but only on windows. What are the solution that we can adopt for use FDQM and planning of hyperion essbase on LINUX.

  I have two options in my mind.

  1. install on windows based machine.

  2 - use of Vmware on linux and install FDQM.

  
  

  In addition, the linux installation program shows that FDM is installed on our system. Are FDQM and FDM are the same things?

  1. we use adapters for source and target

  2. in your case, if the SAP is the source we integrating SAP, as Sage ERP adapter, with the help of which you can pull data

  3. in the same way, with the help of the essbase lens adapter, you can load data in to essbase

  We install a new EPM 11.1.2.3 - HFM and FDM on one server that hosts the services of the Foundation and FR. Our question is on the CPU and Ram needed on the SQL Server. We have 2 users with 4 GB of data, but we have to get the good performance of SQL server.

  Please provide me with a white paper link or just tell me what it takes.

  We have installed v 11.1.2.2 on windows 2008 server 64-bit HFM and FDM hyperion. I am unable to find the FM11X-G6-A_1016 for HFM adapters on delivery. Can anyone tell me where I can find these adapters.

  Configure the database and deploy to the application server are missing in the settings of FDM... I uninstalled and reinstalled but same problem

• FDQM-HFM-adapter

  Hi all

  We plan to install and configure HFM & FDQM 11.1.2.1 version on two different servers.

  HFM in 64-bit, Server and FDM in 32-bit server.

  Our concern is integration of HFM with FDM when both are installed on two different servers.

  In addition to saving the cards and the profile of the Machine, is it necessary to install the Client HFM in FDM server in order to integrate the two HFM and FDM.

  If it is necessary to install the client HFM in FDM 32-bit server, which version of HFM client must be installed HFM 64-bit or 32-bit client HFM.

  Looks like we had the answer.

  We have installed FDM on 32-bit server and HFM on 64-bit server.

  We have also installed HFM Client 32-bit in FDM 32-bit Server and added to the Cluster (HFM 64-bit) to the client by HFM (of FDM Server).

  Following recording adapters and configuration of FDM Machine profile.

  Once done this, we checked the FDM integration that works perfectly well.
