FDM - cannot add a new user

Hi all

Recently, we migrated to version 11. When you try to add a new user in maintenance by the user, a dialog box appears and prompts you for the user name. However, the next box "Username" is an empty combo box and takes no inputs. When click OK, the message "" error: Please select a username! "was received."

Any suggestions, what can be the cause?

FDM in version 11 uses shared Services for the provisioning of users. You only assign locations within the maintenance by the user. When a user is supplied with shared services for the application of FDM, on which they will then appear in the drop-down list box when you click adds a new user.

    I googled and was looking for a documentation with a few images/image of how to add a new user to tide but some not found. I was wondering if any of you can give me a screenshot of how to add a new user to tide. my access does not add/edit a runtime user.

    Hey Warren,

    You should communicate with a person with security privileges to grant you access to adding/changing user tide

    Once granted, you should then be able to add users - start clicking on the box with the Green more on top to add a new user.

    User/group name = user/group name

    Full name = family name, first name

    Domain = AD, empty if Unix, or domain name

    Then select security policy: Super users, Runtime user only or other

    Users of runtime tab to specify which TIME users access the user/group, the agent tab to specify which users DURATION agent has access. Another tab allows you to specify the telephone number, electronic address of the group/user. If the runtime user needs to connect to a Windows agent, then the windows / FTP password field must be filled in the password tab. And if the runtime user needs to connect to a Unix agent, then the password fields can be left white.

    I just installed the plugins from Active Directory 1.0.2 and I'm trying to a create user AD using Orchestrator 4.2.0 script. I use Windows 2008 R2 as my Active Directory server.

    I get this error when I use the port 3286 (using GC):

    Configuration server-side seems good. I use the same information as the LDAP configuration (without the box copy) and I use a Director as the user (until I can fix this error).

    It's the line of script that may cause the error:

    userOU.createUser (domainName, accountName, displayName);

    where accountname, domain name, and displayName is string and user is a valid ORGANIZATIONAL unit selected using the graphical interface.

    Someone has any idea how to solve this problem?

    Quite possible restrictions on password as Joerg says... If this is the case, you must configure the AD plugin to use SSL - to do this, you must import a domain controller authentication certificate to vCO. This certificate will allow the vCO establish a secure connection to your domain controller to create new accounts of users per password

  • I can't add a new user in my account Administration Panel, why?

    I have been using professional DPS for awhile, but now I'm struggling with it. I was able to create new users and create then assigned the user to the applications that I added before, but now I can not do it more.

    Even if it is a new Adobe ID, the problem of still images. I deleted the current users and then I tried to add and no problem occurred.

    can someone give me a clue? I can't add new greater than 2 TB drive to my vm on my upgraded vsphere 5.0. My data store is 6 TB and already read by vsphere... I create new virtual machine and add the new drive, but it limits again just 2 TB when I change 4 TB, the error message will appear.     You will need to use a RDM in physical Compatibility Mode to achieve. As weinstein5 said, a VMDK cannot be greater than 2-to-512bytes. You can use the OS to spread over several 2 TB-512bytes VMDK, if that's what you really want.

  • Cannot add the new nfs datastore

    I would like to get some advice how to add a new nfs data store. Here are the steps I did:

    (1) I have setup a stand-alone ESXi 4 server. I configured the VMNIC0 with 192.168.100.1/24 IP with Vswitch0.

    (2) I have setup a NFS storage. The NFS share is file://\\192.168.200.2\share. I tried using a Windows laptop and I can access the share.

    (3) ON the ESXi server, I created another Vswitch1 with VMNIC1 IP 192.168.200.1/24. I connect my storage to VMNIC1. ESXi, I'm able to ping my storage 192.168.200.2.

    (4) I connect my Windows laptop (IP 192.168.100.2) to VMNIC0. I am able to Vsphere Client to the ESXi server.

    (5) using the Vsphere Client user interface, I click on 'add the new data store '. The fields that I get are "192.168.200.2" and "share". I got the below error message:

    "Error while configuring the host: NFS error: unable to mount filesystem: unable to connect to the NFS server.

    What it went wrong?

    No claim, the NFS must be in the same subnet as your ESX VMKernel Port and your VI Client must be in the same subnet as the Console of the ESX Service / Management Port. But in many cases (especially with ESXi and if not configured otherwise) management and VMKernel are on the same Interface / subnet.

  • Cannot create a new user account

    Hello and good evening,

    I have a laptop HP Pavilion I've had for about a month. I was creating a HP recovery disk. As I didn't have the right amount of available disks, I cancelled it. The next time I went to do the same thing, there was a message in the HP support assistant saying that the recovery disk was no longer available.  So I created an image of the system in case I ever needed to recover my OS. It was stored on drive C. I copied and pasted into the recovery d drive [I don't know if you can do].

    Anyway, some things have changed after I created the image of the system. The C: disk OS folder has been renamed Windows C:.

    I felt a little uncomfortable about the whole, so I thought that I create another user account. Hoping that this would also restore my HP Recovery disk.

    In any case, I went to do this and all seems to be OK, install applications and so on, until he came to a blue screen that says "Please wait". He remained on the screen for about 2 hours, after which the battery was flat. I repowered it and he started upward. He returned the same screen. I took the battery and plugged a USB based recovery disk. This led me to the Welcome screen, and I could log into my original user account.

    I'm not game to try again to create another user account in case something terrible happens and it does not restart.

    What should I do?

    1. create another user account give back me my recovery drive originalHP?

    2 could have another go to make him a corruption on my hard drive?

    I don't know if it's an HP or a problem of Windows 8, so I posted both.

    Hi jcdck,

    I see that you have some problems with your recovery disk. Create a new user account won't get your recovery disk. The same file structure will be implemented regardless of the user account. You should not generally be copy or save anything on the recovery disk.

    You should be able to restore your PC to factory settings , but you need to back up personal files on an external drive or burn to a CD. It might not get your recovery back disc because this isn't the Windows function of HP.

    Your only other option is to order the recovery CD for your model. If you can provide me with your product number I should be able to get your link to order. Are which country you located?

Well, I did and when I did set up the new user, I created, but also an additional user with the same name with a dot + my computer name.     I suggest that you try to run the file system (CFS) Checker scan to check all the corruption of .dll files.
