• Update in the registry of the EMP by "applicationListener"?

  Hi all

  A couple of days, users have started to the complaint that smartview is down and Suzanne could not analyze data in Excel. All services have been restarted, but the EPM_Server has not started.

  After a few days trying to solve the problem, we have recovered most of the tools (planning, SS, EAS, Smartview) but we are still working to recover from the financial information.

  Anyway, we analyzed the DDBB and we found something which, for me, is what caused the problem. The CONFIG_HISTORY of the DDBB HSS table has hundreds of lines of EMP registry update (in the ACTION column) which have been made by an applicationListener (in the column of the TOOL) in the time and date had trouble with smartview users.

  Does anyone know what is this darn applicationListener and especially, how this applicationListener tool is run to change all the entire record of EMP?

  Recently, we had the similar problem again. However, we have more information about it. First of all, a brief explanation on our environment:

  • We have a distributed environment, where servers 1, 2 and 3 are EPM and Server 4 is used for SQL Server, each of them running on Windows Server 2008 R2.

  When the problem happened, we check the following:

  1. EMP doen't work, but the services are running
  2. Access to SQL Server is available. However to the Server 4 Remote Desktop connection is not possible/activated.
  3. At this point, the EPM_HSS tables are correct (without application listener entries in the Config_history table)
  4. HE try to restart the EMP services because the web doesn't work.
  5. Then, the problem: when EMP Services are restarted, "Application listener" written in the table of configuration of shared services.

  The workaround should do:

  1. Restart the Server 4 (in order to correct the problem of SQL Server)
  2. Restore database EPM_HSS
  3. Start the EMP Services

  SQL Server or Windows could be the initial problem but why EPM beginning process writes configuration 'default' in the configuration database? Could be a setting or a configuration by default when services begin?

  I just uninstall the 11124 EMP and then tried to delete the EMP folders and files... directory where all the files got deleted except the bottom one,'

  the error I get when trying to delete is "the names of source files are larger that is supported by the file system, try to move to a location that has the shortest path name, or try renaming to shorter name before attempting this operation.

  But I couldn't move anywhere and also cannot rename it... no idea what is? If I reinstall the epm without deleting, are there questions?

  I installed and configured EMP 11.1.2.3 version without any problems. But I am not able to start the server from the EMP HyS9EPMServer_epmsystem1 (squeegee Hyperion EPM Server - Java Web Application (epmsystem1)). I am getting below error messages in the log file.   Why you don't want to use the analytical functions? Analytical functions, permitting the simpler, more robust and more effective to achieve these results, wouldn't you want that?

  Even when 11.1.2.1 out eventually I let yet freshing install 11.2.x due to the amount of changes in the architecture.
  Migration is not a problem so much that have a good understanding about the items to move, you can migrate the repository using LCM or planning.

  So after a change in policy, society has imposed a requirement to activate ssl for hyperion environment.

  There are a few methods that we did research

  1 reconfiguration Weblogic using Keytool.

  a. the user -> httpsESS- http - >weblogic

  b. the user http->OSH- https - >weblogic

• HFM Java API pots found empty in the installation of the EMP

  We seek to develop an extension HFM application based on the Java API of HFM as in https://docs.oracle.com/cd/E40248_01/epm.1112/hfm_javadoc/index.html

  While looking for the required JAR files epm_hfm_web.jar, epm_j2se.jar, epm_thrift.jar in our installation of EMP, we find that these files are empty with only the meta-inf folder and no class file was present.

  Are we missing something in the installation and the configuration or not looking in the right location for these jar files.

  Jar files are located in D:\Oracle\middleware\EPMSystem11R1\common\jlib\11.1.2.0 in our facility

  The details of the environment are as below.

  Oracle Fusion of EPM edition workspace version 11.1.2.4.0.79

  UI version 11.1.2.4.0.79

  This issue is already displayed in the HFM area, but we think that could hope to a solution here.

  The basic concept is easy - set the parent entity, set the child entity, join the parent to the child.

  If some entities will not have parents (root entities), then an outer join is required of the child entity to the parent entity.

  Everything simply because the two entities are in the same table, does not change the logic or the approach. It's perfectly valid for a join table.

  What is advised to create patterns for EMP installation and configuration if you use Oracle for EMP data.

  1. create the dedicated tablespace and table Temp space dedicated for each schema

  or

  2. create a dedicate tablespace and dedicates space temporary table for all schemas and another separate for HFM schema.

  or

  3. just use default tablespace and a tablespace temp.

  It's like I said products like FM, FDMEE, DRM and perhaps RAF depending on what happens to be stored should be considered for there own tablespace, other products, not so and can be combined in say a tablespace.

  These are all just guidelines and there is no good answer.

  I installed and configured EMP 11.1.2.4 on 64-bit windows computer, I can see all the components work perfectly await FDMEE.

  After I have connection in the workspace navigate-> administrator, I do not see "data management."
