FDR AX100 HDCP

Hello

I have trying to find settings HDCP in the AX100 FDR. I can't find it in the user manual.

I need to disable the protection.

Hi augre,.

According to the FDRAX100 specifications, the camcorder has no HDCP parameter.

    Dear professionals

I get my RAD-ax100 in 4 days from today. After studying at my questions for now, the description of the product: sony recommends to always choose XAVC S 4 K to make the video. now, my question: if I do (check-in mode 4K), can I then save, transfer, work on this 4K record in for example the XAVC S HD - modus? What features should I choose in the camcorder or is - it should only choose at the time of labor transfer of the file? Thanks and you sincerely andy ([email protected])

    Hello Andy,

Videos 4K (default of the Handycam) will give you a superb image, especially on a 4 K TV quality, but will take more space on the memory card XQD, you can also set the camcorder to record videos high definition (HD) format XAVC S and AVCHD. These videos using the MP4 container file so that you can import, save, forward, and edit the videos but you may need to use the Sony Vegas Pro or a third-party software to modify the files XAVC S.

It's really you what recording mode you choose and don't forget the S XAVC 4 K is the best with 4 K TV XAVC S HD is suitable for HD television and if you plan to record discs Blu - ray your personal videos, use AVCHD.

  • On the Sony FDR-AX100 is there any CODEC or that he plans for people who leave the AVID Media Composer 8.3

There are so many CODECs SOny cutting that help the AVID to read the files directly, however, nothing for this new type of XAVC S 4 K files. I know that I can work around, to convert files, but is not effective.

  • What is Pro CS6 support AX100 FDR Sony camcorder which records 4K in the file XAVC-S format?

I have Pro CS6 and am an intermediate user.  I just bought a Sony FDR AX100 camcorder which records 4K in the file XAVC-S format.  I can't Pro to import the file as a wrapper.  I have to click in PRIVATE at a couple of lower levels and finally found AVCHD and you can see the clip. Does not seem the right wy to import.  CS6 does support the format of Sony XAVC-S?

    [Title edited... MOD]

    John and Ann,

Thanks for the info.  I will contact Adobe tomorrow to confirm that CS6 nor does not support the Sony XAVC-S file format.

    I appreciate your comments.  Phil

    Hello Phil,
I can confirm that support for XAVC-S support has been added in first Pro CC.1 (7.1). I'm sure that others have worked around the issue of transcoding the footage. You can also download a 30 day trial of first Pro CC 2015 if you want to try. Just make sure that you update the application (help > updates...) after downloading.

    Thank you

  • SONY AX33 COMPATIBILITY ISSUE WITH FCP 10.2.3?

    Hello

We had read that Sony's XAVCs codec is compatible with FCP X since version 10.2. So we bought a couple of cameras Sony-FDR-AX33 for our company (short films shot in 1080 p). So this morning I tested one of them, fill a 64 GB card with continuous footage from my office window. He gave me 2.5 hours of 1080 p video.

Now, if I navigate on the map from a recent MacPro desktop, I can open the file with QuickTime and read it. But if I try to import into FCP X, it fails. Nothing happens. It's like talking to my cat. I went on the Web and read a few comments. As it seems, anyone recommend commercial software of Brorsoft so that the file converted to Apple ProRes 422. UM! In the case of my file, it takes well over 2 hours to do the work with the application of fast converter we use here, Miro.

    I have three simple questions:

    1 can FCP X 10.2.3 import DIRECTLY a long hrs 2.5 blessed with XAVCs codec 1080 p?

2-if it can, what I am doing wrong?

3 and if she can't, why Apple says it can?

    Thank you.

I have the Sony FDR-AX100 that pulls in the same codecs as your Sony FDR-AX33 XAVCS.  I imported many clips of my RAD-AX100 in FCP X, but I do not try and import them directly from the card of the camera.  I use the software to play the memories of (free) Sony to transfer clips from my AX100 on my hard drive.  I then use the FCP to import the. MP4 files on the hard disk in FCP X.  There is no conversion of files involved in this workflow, and I have never had no problems using this workflow with FCP X and my Sony FDR-AX100. Here is a link to the software PlayMemories: http://support.d-imaging.sony.co.jp/www/disoft/int/download/playmemories-home/ma c/en/index.html.

  • 4K camcorder

Only Premiere Pro support the Sony FDR AX33 Pocket 4K camcorder?

  • xavc s first adobe CS 5 Pro

    Hello

Someone knows how it is to import (with additional/codec plugin), the new Sony XAVC S in Adobe Premiere Pro CS5?

I read something on this forum about mainconcept.com (Totalcode for Adobe Premiere Pro CS5 and CS6) and cost €279,00, anyone experince experience with them? and it's a program set the codec inside first rather than convert them all first and then you can import it into first?

Thanks in advance for your reply,

    Leo

I'm using CS5 PP and find that you can import THAT XAVC S 4 k without a plugin or the need to convert files.  Use import for Red R3D - HD 4 k which has a resolution of 3840 x 2160.  The camera I use is a Sony FDR AX100

  • Could not write metadata in XAVC S. MP4 (Sony) of prelude or first

Images Sony FDR-AX100, XAVC-S is in. MP4 files.

Bridge can write IPTC Core fields in the. MP4 file.

Prelude and Premiere Pro, July 2015 versions cannot.

It doesn't seem to matter whether UHD size files, or the 720 p files.

It isn't a problem with file permissions, because the bridge is able to write very well.

Someone else has the experience to do this job?

I saw this thread similar subitems disappeared, from 2014, but it ended without any resolution.

Were there no resolution or progress?

    Will file the bug report.

End of 2013 Mac Pro, D700, OSX 10.10.4 CC 2015 July 2015 (although I suspect earlier versions had the same problem)

Please install the last update prelude 4.1 of the CC. The problem should be solved. Updated if the problem is still reproducible.

  • 48000 Hz remain in sync

I have a Zoom H4 over 48 000 Hz and my Sony FDR AX100 to 4K are 48 000 Hz. But, when I sync them early they are synchronized to the end. When I sync at the end they are out of sync at the beginning. Here are the properties of the two files:

    Path: F:\Music\Harris brothers and Darin\STE - 025.wav

    Type: Windows audio WAVE file

    File size: 161,1 MB

    Audio Format: 48000 Hz - 16-bit - stereo

Project Audio Format: 48000 Hz - 32 bit floating point - stereo

    Total time: 00:14:39:30912

    Path: F:\Music\Harris brothers and Darin\1-20-2015\C0001. MP4

    Type: MPEG Movie

    File size: 36.8 GB

    Image size: 3840 x 2160

    Frame rate: 29.97

    Audio Format: 48000 Hz - 16-bit - stereo

Project Audio Format: 48000 Hz - 32 bit floating point - stereo

    Total time: 01 32. 27; 16

    Pixel format: 1.0

Why this can't stay in sync, and how to solve?

To what extent are they out there?

There is a misconception that all cameras and recorders will remain synchronized. Great television and film gen producers use video lock to keep locked, referenced video wordclock for audio, there are boxes of lockit reference gps even listening. Each piece of equipment when working vacuum uses a Crystal for its reference, it will drift over time according to their design and often temperature. I have two camcorders Sony (EX1R and PMW320) these will remain at in on a time frame. I have a Panasonic handycam that moves at about 2 images. For audio I have a couple of recorders Tascam these end up about 5 images off, the worse that I have is a Zoom H4 which will be a second or more. To work around these limitations, I put a clap on the two top and tail of the shoot, I then hearing allows you to stretch the audio to match the claps.

  • Will there be a CS6 PP was updated for compatibility with the Sony XAVC-S codec

Hi, well it's all in the title,

Should I wait for this update? I just noticed there is not since August 2013 and some new HD cam, hybrid DSLR use this new codec.

so it would be great not to forget the CS6 users, upgrade to CC is not a solution for me, I would prefer to swith to FCP X cc.

I have Sony FDR-AX100 where pulling 4K video in Sony XVAC S codec, and I have two Adobe Premiere Pro CC and CS6.  Don't have import problems, reading or editing images in this format.  XVAC S is really simply a high-level h.264 format. I use these two programs on one end of 2013 Mac Pro with 64 GB RAM and 12 hearts 10.9.3 OS.

  • 4K video

I'm shooting in 4K using the Sony FDR-AX100.

I can import the files of 4K in first Pro CS5. And, when I create a timeline with preview shows in 4K. I know that the preview shows in 4K because that when I transfer a file HD in the same sequence/timeline it is half the size.

The problem I have is that PPro CS5 does not export 4K. Even when I "Match sequence settings", it does not export in 4K.

Because the budget is tight, is it possible to update my version, maybe the media encoder, so I can export in fact 4K in CS5? Otherwise, what is the cheapest solution? Maybe switch to CS5.5 or CS6?

    Thank you!

You show us a picture of the sequence of presets, and what we see are the export parameters.

If you currently use temporarily CC, then the image in post this thread #12 should show you that it is possible to export the 'real' 4 K.

I can also export the size of the frame of your video (3840 X 2160). But Ann is correct in what it will take to change the level.

Here is my export settings. Note the parameters of the sequence as well as the export parameters. Ignore the estimated file size. I used a very short clip to save time.

As you can see, it exports as requested.
