Fedora 17 does not detect my network wireless Satellite 11 850 L.

Hello
I just installed Fedora 17 in my laptop and my wifi can not be detected. It is a REALTEK RTL8723AC.

Does anyone know what driver to install and how?, does anyone know another way to make it work?
Thank you for your attention.

Kind regards.

As you probably know Toshiba doesn't support Linux, then maybe you should post this question on some Fedora forum. Here, you have more chance to answer or discuss this subject with experts from Fedora.

Wireless card not working after a clean install of Windows Vista

I did a clean install of Windows Vista Home Premium on my HP Pavilion of 32 bits. I've completely updated Windows via Service Pack 2. Given that the clean install, my wireless card, Intel (r) Wireless WiFi Link 4965AGN, was not able to detect all the networks. The Wifi card is listed under NICs as being installed and activated. the hardware on my laptop Wifi switch is set on "on" and the light is blue, indicating that the card is working.

I can connect to the internet if I connect physically my computer to the modem with an ethernet cable wireless, so the modem isn't the problem. Other computers can connect to the wireless modem, so my Wifi modem functionality is not the problem. The problem with my computer.

I tried to uninstall the Intel driver and reboot my computer with the generic driver. Install the driver generic, but my wireless card has not always worked. I then ran an update of windows, nothing helps.

I tried to install the "Intel® PRO /? Wireless and WiFi Link"drivers for Windows Vista (32-bit 13.1.1.1 the latest version and the previous version 12.4.4.5 32-bit) for the Intel® Wireless WiFi Link 4965AGN directly from the Intel Web site at http://downloadcenter.intel.com/SearchResult.aspx?lang=eng&ProductFamily=Wireless+Networking&ProductLine=Intel%C2%AE+WiFi+Products&ProductProduct=Intel%C2%AE+Wireless+WiFi+Link+4965AGN. The map didn't always work with a driver.

In addition to the pilots, I also downloaded a tool of diagnosis of Intel (Intel® PROSet /?) Utility of WiFi wireless connection for Windows Vista 32 -? Bit). Said diagnostic tool the WiFi card is not installed or enabled, however, Device Manager maintains that he is also installed and active.

Is there a problem that causes Device Manager to say that all is well with the card, but does not map to realize that they diminish the radio signals? Everything's fine, diagnostic, it just does not detect networks around him. Help, please.

Actually try updating your driver and disabling the network logon.

version - click the driver update (cannot do something that MS is far behind the pilots of certification). Then
Right click on the Wifi device and UNINSTALL - Reboot - it will refresh the driver stack.

    Hi Zdzislaw,

The behavior you're seeing is expected for TCP as the device will timeout while it is looking for the connection close the connection.  This Wikipedia article explains how TCP protocol works in relation to a handshaking procedure four lanes running in order to close a TCP connection.  I hope this helps!

Settings edit-> Options tab, you can change the guest operating system type. Check if Windows 7 is available. If this is not the case, try WIndows 2008 or vista.

  • Aspire ES1 does not detect wifi networks

After a frustration of a few hours, I turn on this forum to help you, please. Ours is not a unique problem, but further discussions on the same issue did not provide enough help.

Until this morning, the Aspire had only undetected (and connected to) our home wifi network, but has detected nearby wifi networks. Now, he finds none. Our other four devices continue to connect as usual.

We looked at the list of devices under "network adapters" and in this list, according to the Acer support page, we should have two cards among others here: Ethernet card for wired and wireless network adapter. It is not present.

We do not know how they came to be "lost" or how we can restore them. Any help would be appreciated and please keep in mind we are reasonably computer, but not technicians.

Or should I just send the wretched machine back?

In this case, it is recommended to run the system restore to restore your system to a point in time when your wireless network worked very well. To learn how to perform the system restore, you can check the link below:

  • Windows does not detect my network

I just reinstalled Windows XP on my computer that previously had Windows 7 RC on it. I couldn't figure out how to get my internet connected, so I searched online on our other computer. (This one) It says to turn off my computer and connect the Ethernet cable from my router to my PC. I did, turned my computer and still no internet. Just before when I still had Windows 7, I could connect fine.

Here's how I'm connected by the way:
    Comp. 2 connected wireless.
Modem (DSL) - router (SMC Networks)
    |
    |
Comp. 1 (connected by Ethernet cable)
So, how can I get Windows XP to connect? I still need to update to SP3 of SP1.
Also, when I click on show all connections, or whatever, it shows nothing.

I think I know the problem. I double click on controller Ethernet and it says that the driver for this device is not installed. I clicked Reinstall... automatic and manual for those who do not work because I can't connect online. So, how can I install the driver?  Here, the support is great. Thank you guys!
