FGA and 'before the value.

Hello

preparation for my OCP I reached the audit chapter.

As far as I understand it FGA does'nt store the contents of 'before' the value changed, right?
If I need to do, that meens, I write triggers, I guess.

This brings me to another question to you guys working on the front:
If I have as long as a DB administrator write triggers on the tables of a written request by a company 3, is this correct?
I would feel a little uncertain, wether I can "fool around" with ther objects.

Concerning

Christian

Yes, see the section "when the triggers are necessary ' week 10: Oracle Database 10 g features Top 20 DBA

Do not know what is a '3' company, but I would like to know if anyone had wrong with my items.  If you mean a third-party application provider, some are very particular stuff, possibly cancelling the contracts supported.  Others are happy to wash their hands of it.

  • Search and replace values in the text field before the values are stored in DB

    Hello
    There is a question - answer and text box text field - in my application. Problem is, some of the answers are stored with the apostrophes to the DB and I have a problem while recovering in the DB. I need to replace the single quotes 1 with 2 apostrophes. The values are stored in the DB when you click on the submit button.

    So, I'm using the following javascript code:
    italics
    < script type = "text/javascript" >
    function test().
    {
    var str = "& P2_S1.";
    document. Write (Escape (STR));
    }
    < /script >
    italics
    I need to call this javascript function, when the user clicks on the button submit, but BEFORE the values are stored in the DB. How can I get this done?

    Please let me know.

    Hi Suzi,

    Just use

    begin
    update test set S1=replace(:P2_S1, '''', '''''') where name=:APP_USER;
    end;

    as you did in your SELECT statement.

    But I shake also why you want to do? Where do you have problems with the apostrophe?

  • How to acquire and store the values of DAQmx analog voltage (I do not want the graphic, but strings and values in a chart)?

    Hello

    How acquire and store the values of voltage DAQmx?

    I tried several code example, but they can't get the chart. I don't want to chart. I want to measure exactly the analog voltage values and record these values - as an excel chart, that contains the selected channels and voltage values.

    What the example code that I can use?

    Thank you very much.

  • Update and change the values when VI is running

    Hello everyone! I have a digital control slider and I want to be able to change and update the value when Vi is running. Can I use the property for this node?

    If it is a CONTROL (no), then it is for the user to set the value via mouse / keyboard.

    You can still set the value via the NŒUD of PROPERTY or the LOCAL VARIABLE for ALL controls.

    What difficulty do you observe?

  • Ring control output is the name of the item and not the value

    Hello. I'm new to Labview. I'm experimenting with labview and create just simple VI to learn more about the software. I placed a control of the ring and attached an indicator to this control of the ring. I found that the object of a control ring to select an element and an output value. For example, I placed 3 items in the properties of the ring (red, blue, yellow) and given the value of these items 1,2,3. But when I run the VI and select blue, I was expecting the indicator attached to the control to read 2, but on the contrary, he says 'Blue' (even for other items). What I'm misunderstanding here or to hurt? I've also attached a screenshot.

    Your meter is another ring that has the same pair name / value, so it's going to see the name associated with the value.  Remove the ring indicator and just drag in an ordinary digital indicator.  Then, it will show you the value.

  • Store an encrypted digital value and that the value isn't encrypted visible only some users in Apex

    I'm looking for a way to store a value digital encypted in a field in a table (so that it appears encrypted even for a DBA) and display the value of unencypted in the forms of the Apex and interactive reports for some users, but not others.

    Suggestions as to how I might do this?

    Thanks in advance.

    Martin

    Try these documents:

    Using masking to columns to display sensitive columns as NULL values

    Using VPD in an APEX Application

    Securing data stored using Transparent data encryption

    The features you want are characteristic of the database.

    You can use DBMS_CRYPTO for encryption of data instead of transparent data encryption, but you will need to create a package for your insert, update, delete and a view that allows the decryption based on v('APP_USER').

    Also, you will not be able to search on this column if you are using DBMS_CRYPTO.

  • How to have an Oracle procedure send and receive the value of a java program.

    The procedure below is the place within a package. This "get_extract_ready_headers" procedure to select the columns store_number, terminal_number, tran_number, tran_date, cust_id in the REX_HEAD_EXTRACT of source table. This information is selected in a ref cursor The data were field cust_id which is encrypted. How can I change the get_extract_ready_headers procedure and accomplish 2 things?

    1. make this procedure the "cust_id" reading the table source and send the value of a Java program "getheaderinfo" (this java program decrypts the cust_id field).
    2. when we get the value unencrypted to the Java program, make the procedure to accept this decrypted value and use it to update the CUST_ID to the table TRAN_HEAD table value target. I use Oracle 11.2.0.2 and TOAD 10.5.1.3.

    Then you describe two stored procedures separated. One that has an OUTPUT parameter which is a SYS_REFCURSOR (that you posted initially). And will need you a second procedure that takes as a parameter IN the decrypted CUST_ID and whatever: key (s) is required for the UPDATE is generated.

  • replace some symbols and converts the value to a number

    Hi all. I've got bp_link table with 'avalue' column VARCHAR2 (200). If I can find a different version of p here:

    (a) 100%
    (b) 100
    (c) 100.00
    (d) 100.00
    (e) null
    (f) symbol of space
    (I hope that all versions are mentioned).

    So I try to replace some symbols and convert the value to a number using the following steps:

    NVL(Avalue,0) - removes the null value
    Replace (NVL(Avalue,0), '%', ")-removes the symbol '% '.
    Replace (Replace (NVL(Avalue,0), '%', "), ',','. ')-remove a symbol «,»
    Trim (Replace (Replace (NVL(Avalue,0),'%',''),',','.')) - removes the symbol space)))
    TO_CHAR (Trim (Replace (Replace (NVL(Avalue,0), '%', "), ', '.'")), "FM999999999999.90")-converts format "100.00".

    But it still does not, maybe I don't see anything else.

    When I just "select * from...". "it works:

    Select to_char (trim (replace (replace (nvl(avalue,0), '%', "), ', '.'")), "FM999999999999.90")
    as avalue of JJ bp_link where roletypeid = 9

    But when I try "order by avalue" ends with error - ORA-01722: invalid number

    Select to_char (trim (replace (replace (nvl(avalue,0), '%', "), ', '.'")), "FM999999999999.90")
    as avalue of JJ bp_link where roletypeid = 9
    order of dd.avalue

    What can I do else?

    Maybe this will help you

  • Set and get the value of the item application in Javascript

    Hello guys,.
    Can you tell me an example how to set and get the value of the application element in Javascript, and how do I check if the value of the point of application is null in Javascript, too. I have read a few replies, but nothing worked (e.g. $x (app_item), $v (app_item), $s (app_item) and so on).

    Thanks in advance!

    To get the value of an element, use the following syntax:

      alert("The value of MY_TEST_ITEM is " + $x("MY_TEST_ITEM").value);

    to set the value that you have just made

      $x("MY_TEST_ITEM").value="Set to this value";

    Keep in mind however that you need to send the page in order so that he could be picked up by APEX - javascript is CLIENT SIDE, ONLY! Either that or use AJAX to put on the side server.

  • How to group and summarize the values with a vertical drop of 100?

    Dear gurus
    How to group and summarize the values with a vertical drop of 100 as the data indicated below:

    Cas_Cod_ Cas_Amt_ Description
    300 1000A
    301 200 B
    302 350 C
    400 500 A
    401 100 B
    402 25

    Now the data should be grouped like this
    A (300,400) = 1500
    (301,401) B = 300
    C (302,402) = 375

    Make sure that I don't have a column as description in my table to group data on description, its here just to give u an example.

    Hello

    using mod for hundreds:

    with x as
    (
      select 300 code, 1000 amt, 'A' descr from dual union all
      select 301 code, 200 amt, 'B' descr from dual union all
      select 302 code, 350 amt, 'C' descr from dual union all
      select 400 code, 500 amt, 'A' descr from dual union all
      select 401 code, 100 amt, 'B' descr from dual union all
      select 402 code, 25 amt, 'C' descr from dual
      )
       select mod(code,100) code, sum (amt)
        from x
       group by mod(code,100);

    Using the mod you get the rest of a division, so mod (300,100) = 0, mod (301,100) = 1, etc.

  • Can I create a cursor and set the values by myself

    Can I create a cursor and set the values by myself, and it has not been filled by an SQL?

    Thanks in advance

    Yes, you can.
    Use variables with a default value or nvl (some_parameter, some_variable) in your cursor WHERE predicate.
    They provide an example if it isn't clear, since that's all I can think about reading your post...

    This is because you have set the height on your 'thumbnailshere '.

    . Never
    the value height unless you know how high the content is going to be.
    Remove the height.

    {.thumbnailshere}
    height: 400px; / * remove the height * /.
    margin-top:-10px;
    }
