FI 6120XP - license Question

I have a pair of 6120XP fabric interconnects and am licensed to 10 ports.  The majority of these ports is 1 GB

I am moving to 10 GB and goes to plug more than two connections.

That would mean that I use 12 ports, but once connected the 10 GB I intend closing 8 1 GB ports that I have connected.

I would be non-compliant license, or within my allowed range?

Thanks for any info and hope the above makes sense.

Hello Angelo,.

On the 20 ports in the 6120, 8 are allowed by default, I imagined that you license other 2 ports. The default ports are the first 8, all additional ports require a license and a software license is required for each port 10 GbE

Even if you stop the ports you will be out of reach, and you will need a license for any United Nations-bottled port.

However, while having these unauthorized ports, they will enter into the period of 120 days. The grace period is individual to each port, so by using a port without a permit do NOT triger on any grace period.

I use to promote this other document community which speaks a little the same and in the substantive mentions something similar to what I say and gives some additional information:

If this can help in some way, please note this.

  • Student license question

    Hey guys,.

Just a quick question on Labview student of license. I have the 2010 student software package and I was wondering if its possible to install in on a desktop and laptop at the same time with the same license.

    All the best,

    Tom

The general license contract should have been included with LabVIEW software. If you don't, you can read it here: http://www.ni.com/legal/license. For the Student Edition license you can install it on 3 computers. It's the same as a regular license "named" for the edition of non-students of LabVIEW.

  • The family pack license question

I brought the family pack and installed the 32 bit on one of my computers.  But I can change my mind and want to go to 64-bit in a couple of weeks after I receive a problem or two fixed. Besides all the obvious problems with going from 32 to 64.  SE coward a license by installing two different versions on the same computer?

    Hi Jer1177,

Thanks for posting. You can install the 64-bit without any problems, as long as your 32 bit OS is uninstalled. If you run no activation questions use the phone activation and you can enable by this means.

  • Windows 7 OEM license Question

My brothers and I built a gaming PC, and I have a question of a Windows 7 operating system license, we bought. In 2014, we bought an OEM Windows 7 on Ebay that came as a Dell reinstallation DVD and an OEM unused license key (which worked correctly). We have installed on our PC, but we did not activate the BONE to what we decided to upgrade to windows 10 via free update of Microsoft.

However, due to the terms of the OEM Windows 7 license, I wonder if it was legal to put our BONES and our key on our PC. Therefore, I have a few questions:

1 using the OEM key on our legal machine?

    2. have you upgraded to Windows 10 change the legality of our BONES?

3 Microsoft authorizes the actions that I took to install an OEM operating system, or should I buy a retail OS to be fair to them?

You noted that you bought a Dell OEM disc reinstall Windows 7.

This OEM disk is specifically for DELL systems. If it has not been installed on a Dell computer with a sticker accompanying COA with this special edition, the license is non-compliant.

It is not eligible the system for the free update to Windows 10.

  • Windows upgrade license question

I hope that this doesn't look like a stupid or ridiculous question.

My wife's office is an old, Vista originally had.  It never use it because it's slow; She would rather use her laptop with 8 on it.

I bought Windows 7 and installed on the desktop.  Still slow and it does not use it yet.  I am so get rid of it.

But I still have the win7 disk.  I also have another laptop, with Vista.  I would like to put a win10 on the laptop clip.  But we need win7 or 8.

Y at - it no problem with the installation of the drive on the laptop, then win7 (that WAS installed on the desktop) to upgrade to 10?

You can transfer the license of Windows 7 at the Vista laptop and upgraded to Windows 10.

Please note, the 10 current Windows preview does not require any existing version of Windows, you could install Windows 10 Technical Preview now on your current installation of Vista and the right to upgrade to the final version of the preview.

If you still want to improve the existing Vista install Windows 7, however, it's your choice. If you plan to activate, make sure that is no longer in use on the old office.

You can do it by formatting the machine then reactivate the installation on the laptop by phone:

How to activate Windows 7 manually (activate by phone)

    1) click Start and in the search for box type: slui.exe 4

    (2) press the ENTER"" key.

    (3) select your "country" in the list.

    (4) choose the option "activate phone".

    (5) stay on the phone (do not select/press all options) and wait for a person to help you with the activation.

    (6) explain your problem clearly to the support person.

The installed licenses are used for advanced editing.  I suspect your switch is always essential editing mode as it is not a county or the Version of the license for these modules.  Output check shSwitch edition.

    Example:

    # Sh SV2 switch edition

    Switch Edition: Advanced  <>

    Advanced features

    Function name function State

    -----------------------------

    Disabled CTS

    monitoring DHCP disabled

    vxlan-Bridge enabled

  • Video calls to Highway B2B - license Question

I have a question about licensing Expressway C & E calls video numbering URI of B2B (via internet).

You will need a license from RMS on Hwy C & E if your codec (SX20) is registered to your CUCM when do B2B video URI calls?

If you make a call from a registered endpoint CUCM point and the other end is not on your call Manager (ie: B2B), you will need licenses RMS.

If you make a call between two ends of CUCM, where it is written internally to call the Manager and the other is registered via Mobile and remote access, you don't require licenses RMS because end points recorded for call manager using MRA do not consume a license of appeal.

  • MXP 75 to 95 MXP Upgrade / license question

    Hello

I want to improve our edge 75 MXP to edge 95MXP.

    We have the following license.

    85-EDGE75 L

    L EDG75-BW2

    L. 95-85-SM

    LIC-S50000-K9

    In what order upgrade.

    Thanks for the help,

    Stefan

    Hello Stefan,

Basically, L-EDGE75-to-85 is used to convert it to a 95 edge and the bandwidth option is also required. What you need to do, is first add button option & key of bandwidth using the Web user interface. Once this is done, you can connect to the API and use the following command:

ProductKey [Key] (press ENTER and restart the codec)

    where [Key] is L-EDGE75-to-85.

When she returns to the top, the process must be completed.

    Hope that answers your question.

    Kind regards

  • Use of licenses/Questions

    Hello

I am interested in Adobe Stock, however, I'm still not quite clear on the standard license rights and restrictions of use (which I read several times).

If someone could give me concrete answers to the following questions, I would be very happy:

    1. If I acquire the standard of a stock image license for myselfam I allowed to use the same image of stock for multiple projects? Say, use a paper structure photo on different digital drawings of mine.

Note: I understand that I must get another license, if I had to use the same image of stock for a client.

    2. a link (to the Adobe Stock page) for a stock image used on a Web site strictly necessarily in copyright information or is "NameOfAuthor ©" considered sufficient? What is the best practice?

    3. copyright information pass under the image, or should it be written on the image, as in being a part of the image?

    4. assuming that the copyright notice can be put under the image or text separated in front of her, if I use an image of stock in a post on a Web site (like a header image, for example) with the relevant information of the copyright on this same page -

This same (possibly cropped) image can be used as thumbnail for the social media 'actions' without distinct mentions of copyright on the posts 'shared '?

    5. If I use an image - composed of pieces of multiple images of stock of different authors - do I put separate copyright information for each image used on the page/image?

Is it possible to 'group' copyright or - if information is not - how best to do this?

    6. I understand Adobe Stock don't offer no licenses at the present time, however, is it OK if I buy an extended license on Fotolia for an Adobe Stock image I already have a license and already "used"?

I will do my best to answer all your questions. You need to refer to the license agreement for the definitive and final word however.

    1. Yes, as long as the projects are for your personal use, that's OK. If you own several businesses and intend to use the same image for each company, you need a separate license.

    2. a photo credit is required when you use an image for editorial use, like a newspaper or magazine article, or for social media. Use of the web in general does not require a photo credit and a link is no longer needed.

    3. If you use the image in social media, the appropriations must be typed directly on the image at a visible place. If you use the image for an editorial article then having the credit adjacent to the image is sufficient.

    4. you can link to a page on the social media without adding extra credit. If, however, you want to download the image directly on social media as a reference to a link, you need to add the credit on the image.

    5. If the composite is for social media use, so, Yes, a credit for each contributor is required.

    6. Yes, if you use an image from Adobe Stock in a way that is not consistent with the standard license agreement, you must immediately delete the image or license extended to Fotolia assuming that the extended license allows your use.

    I hope this helps.

  • vCenter Licensing Question

We are currently conducting environment vSphere with vCenter Server 5 5 (using the VCSA).  My vSphere, ESXi licensing have the right to upgrade to vSphere 6, but is not my vCenter license.  After further review, we have seen that the SnS support contact us on our vCenter license had expired in January 2015, so we went ahead and got that renewed back support.  My question is, now that we have renewed the support we may update this license vCenter vCenter license 5 6 or we will have to buy a new license of vCenter 6 new?  I checked my VMware Licensing Portal and this shows that we have supported on vCenter 2018 license, but I don't see any option upgrade to this topic.  Any input would be greatly appreciated.

    Welcome to the community,

as far as I know all the licenses that are (or were taken over at the time a new version was released) by an active subscription can be upgraded. When you select "Update license keys" in the drop down menu "I want", you should be able to select and upgrade your vCenter Server license.
