fiber optical sensor su19 110 115 a 126 vs nor usb 6008

Hi expert... I am looking for idea or help on my project. I try to get the measure of mention nor USB 6008 sensor output. In fact, I'm new with nor peripheral usb n still study n the search on internet or n. forums I found an idea to connect the sensor by aoi, but I can't seem to get a measurement any. Is the sensor can connect directly to the device usb or need some custom wire diagram between them. Thanks in advance

First of all, it is useful if you name the manufacturer of the sensor. A single part number means nothing to most of us.  You use the sensor fiber-optic Pepperl + Fuchs? Even better is to display the technical/manual plug of the sensor or links to them.

The data sheet that I found for the sensor to Pepperl + Fuchs is not very well written, in my opinion. It seems that the outputs are impulses with dependent amplitudes of the voltage and the frequency or the timetable set by the mode of operation.

If it's the device you use, the only way you have any possibility to decode the outputs with the USB-6008 box is to measure with an analog input and then process the data in the software. According to the supply voltage, you will probably need a voltage divider to reduce the output voltage of the sensor to a level compatible with the DAQ hardware.  You also won't be able to use the high speed of the probe because the heart rate exceeds the Nyquist limit. In standard mode, you mighte be OK, but you can use a single channel of the USB-6008 to stay in the Nyquist limit.

  • 55VL900A and BDX4300KY - TV is not output Dolby Digital fiber optic

Just installed my new TV, 55VL900A - great picture, very happy. I have a BDX4300KY a drive blueray and Foxtel connected to the TV via HDMI.

The TV has audio output optical fiber, which I run for my Yamaha DSP - A1 amp.

The Blueray and Foxtel are defined to pass on Dolby Digital through HDMI.

Problem 1: TV does not have Dolby Digital of the fiber optic connection.

Problem 2: If I run audio blueray or foxtel fiber optics directly to my amp, there is a sync problem. The audio is delivered earlier than the image.

I searched and found no results in my manual, or in the forum. Help, please.

    Thank you, Mike.

    Hello

I put t have the same devices at home, but I use the optical cable for sound. It is connected to my blue ray and Technichs amp player. I use 5.1 home theater connected to the Technics. The sound is perfect.

I put t know how it works on TV Toshiba but check please if something should be enabled there.
    > The TV does not have Dolby Digital of the fiber optic connection.
See s operating manuals and do not forget the optical output must not be activated. Optical cable is connected to the amp in the optical port marked as TV in the back? Don't forget that bulks is set to TV chanel when you want to hear the sound of the TV directly. In my opinion, it should be best option for you if you will be able to make it work.
    > If I run audio blueray or foxtel fiber optics directly to my amp, there is a sync problem. The audio is delivered earlier than the image.
Which is really strange. Can you please test it with cable audio normal cinch? It will be interesting to know if the same problem occurs again.

Joining lengths of optical fiber is more complex than to join the electric wire or cable. The ends of the fibers must be carefully cleavedand then spliced, either mechanically or by merging with heat. Fiber optic connectors for removable connections are also available.

  • Why use fiber optics?

    Why use fiber optics?

There are two main reasons that the fiber is used.

    1. it's faster (as above) because it uses light to transmit data instead of electrical impulses.

    2. you can run fiber a greater distance as you can in copper based media. A fiber run can go up to five miles before it needs of a Repeater.

  • NEITHER USB-6008 connect to thermocuples and pressure sensors, control valve

I am endevoring to build a gasification plant biomass for bench scale test process control plans. NEITHER USB-6008/6009 will be adapted for use as a data acquisition. I'll take RTDS, thermocouples and pressure sensors. I don't want to use industrial automation controllers.  It is also possible to use the channel of analog output for sending signals to a control valve position (using sufficient current/voltage between the two drivers).

    (1) OK.  I just wanted to be sure that you were aware of the potential dangers.

    (2) an RTD is a resistance that has small changes in resistance per degree of temperature change. To measure that you have need of a current source and a sufficient resolution in order to detect small changes.  At 25 degrees C a typical RTD is 109,73 ohms and resistance ohms 0.38 per degree changes.  If you had 1 my crossing this RTD voltage through it would be 109,7 mV and the voltage change of 0.38 mV by degree.

The resolution of the 6008 on the most sensitive range is 0.49 mV > 1 degree.  The accuracy of the 6008 is 1.5 mV typical.

For a Type K thermocouple, voltage at 25 degrees is 1.407 mV and change by degree is 39 µV.  Millivolt solving half of the 6008 translates into about 12 degrees.

If you need a source of excitement for RTD and a kind of amplification for thermocouples and RTD before she would make any sense to try to use USB-6008.

    (3) I have not used anything except LabVIEW with DAQ devices and drivers.  I think DAQmx can be used with MATLAB and other languages.

    (4) the 6008 is the low range made by NOR. You will need to go to a more expensive camera or add signals conditioning circuits.  Talk to your representative OR assistance in the choice of a suitable device.

  • Help! New on fiber optic networks

    Hello world!

This is my first time to use the equipment of fiber for our network of the company.

The provider has installed fiber and 3 switches, 2 cables that are SGE2010 units, which are distributed in 2 other buildings.  They will all be connected to the central switch that is now a switch Cisco 24 port, located in a newly built building.

Today, the provider told us that they met with switches that have suddenly hanged/stopped their functions.  He said that Cisco has confirmed the problem, but he can't give me a link/documentation on this.  He is now suggesting that we do not have 3 switches for distribution and instead, it will provide 3 switches over to connect to the original 3 via UTP, in order to avoid the 'PROBLEM '.

Is he just pulling my leg so he can earn more in us selling equipment we don't need really?

    Victor

Hi Victor, I have never heard of this. I wouldn't say I'm an authority... but I have worked on these switches SXE for a number of years now and I'm not only my own. I think that these switches have other problems, especially as a unit of the battery. If at any price, I would not have used their "stacked", only standalone. That will save you some serious headaches.

  • Cisco 1841 and a connection in fiber optics 400MbS

    Cisco 1841 is a router 100mbs.

The building has a line of 400mbps.

My question is can I connect Cisco 1841 to a line of 400mps directly without configuration or hardware changes for 400mps?  We only need a line 100mps output.  Trying to avoid a new router when not not required.

    Thank you

    Brendon

The 1941 will be fine.  Note that a 891F is likely to be cheaper and will have almost identical performance and comes with all licenses (whereas licenses are an 'extra' for the 1941).

I almost stopped sale of 1941 as a result.

  • cable / broadband optical fiber connection

Can I use my modem/router WAG320N with a fiber optic broadband? If it isn't that one do I have to get / that you recommend?

    Thank you

You can't have a single box. Routers with receiver integrated fiber optic are very expensive. You will have two boxes: the United Nations and the ethernet router.

And don't forget: a router ethernet is versatile. It can work with any internet connection as long as you have a modem that works with your ISP. Ethernet is standard, you can still get a modem. Thus, two boxes you making it more independent from the ISP and the kind of internet you have: you can always take with you your router except if find you it is too slow for your next ISP...

  • SWR2048: Question optical fiber

Guys, I'm trying to find an answer to a problem

I have a campus that uses about 8 switch SRW2048 around campus.

They will install the fiber between the buildings to improve speed (currently using Ethernet - very slow)

    Here are my questions:

    1. can I connect the fiber-optic lines directly in SRW2048 switches using their ports mini-GBIC, instead of going to a Media Converter and then to the ethernet line?

2 should. what equipment I fill this?

From my understanding, it's doable, but I get lots of different answers to make this work 100%.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

  • Connection WAP54G optics and fiber

Switch used DSL Westell Modem - Linksys - WAP54G and everything worked well.  Changed to fiber optical fiber directly to the switch connected to ethernet and Internet services provider.  Ethernet network works fine but can not access the WAP54G.  Laptops see the WiFi, but local only.

Should the WAP55G or ethernet fiber (or not) use the uplink Port #6 port?

As you change the DSL ISP to optical fiber, you need to change the ip address of the WAP in the range of fiber optics ip.

Also affect the gateway on the WAP even from the optical fiber.
