• How do you keep Gallery Windows to create individual folders for each photo?

  I have to use Windows Gallery to scan all my photos because HP does not have a driver for my printer to Windows Vista support. My printer will print, just not scan or copy.  The problem I have is that whenever I scan a photo gallery Windows will create an individual file for each individual photo. I am in a position to specify which folder I want all my photos go in, but to instead of the Windows gallery just the photo in the folder, I have created, it will also create its own individual folder first with the picture in it and put the file in its entirety within the folder that I created.

  Maybe this will clear what I'm trying to explain - example:
  (1) I create a folder named "Christmas 2009".
  (2) I scan 1 Joey with Gallery Windows.
  (3) once Joey 1 is scanned, a window will appear and ask me if I want to name the picture. I type the name of Joey 1 and specify the option to 1 Joey in the folder, "Christmas 2009".
  (4) Gallery Windows puts 1 Joey in 'Christmas 2009' but at the same time also creates a folder named Joey 1 with Joey 1 photo in this folder.
  (5) now I have a folder named Joey with a picture of Joey 1 1 1 Joey folder. And Joey 1 folder is placed inside the folder "Christmas 2009".
  (6) then I scan another photo of Joey, which I will not name Joey 2 and also specify 'Christmas 2009' for this photo. Windows Gallery puts 2 Joey in a folder created and named, 'Joey 2' and then puts this folder also in the "Christmas 2009" folder. "
  (7) now inside my folder "Christmas 2009" I have now 2 individual records with each of these images that I named above.
  (8) this continues with each photo I scan. After a while I could have 15 images inside "Christmas 2009" but each of these 15 photos are inside its own individual folder within the "Christmas 2009".»
  (10) I don't want 15 individual folders inside "Christmas 2009", I want only the images in the folder I created. But in order to have just the photos, I have to move each photo, one at a time, out of the personal file, in that it is, then move it by itself in the folder "Christmas 2009".
  (11) and then after I moved the picture of his personal file, I remove the individual folder because now the photo is no longer in it and the file is now empty.

  So next time, I went to the options and disabled everything that had to do with tags, (hoping that was the problem), but when I scanned another photo after doing this, instead of the Windows Gallery, create a folder with the name of the photo inside, he instead just create a folder named by the date that I scanned the photo. So I still have individual folders with the photo inside within "Christmas 2009", but now the individual file is just rediscovered: the date at which the photo was scanned.

  It drives me crazy. I've also posted this problem on some of my other tech forums, but nobody else seems to have this problem when scanning with the Gallery Windows. In my view, it will do with my settings but nothing change in the settings seem to have an effect on this problem. I have Windows Vista Premium, don't know not weather has nothing to do with him or not.

  And is probably the one which is the upgrade that you're talking about, but it is allot more complicated to use and has more errors associated with it.

• To create a piece for each user or not?

  My application requires that participants comments do need to connect. They only enter names. As the meeting is not scheduled. It is on the promenade in the base where host awaits the guests. In my case, I have hundreds, then thousands of hosts. For each host, should I create a new room and return to only that user? Is that how the supposed to rooms used or there is no other data structure such as the groups that I can use? Are there limits to how much room an application can create?

  If there are different hosts with no communication and that you want to host meetings at the same time, you must use different parts. However, if there is only one meeting at a time, you can use the same room.

  Also, several rooms is recommended if there are many users per session.

• How can I create legends customized for each image (large) target displayed with the widget to the Gallery?

  Greetings!

  I'm having any joy with the thumbnails Gallery - with the exception of a customization widget, I would like to make.

  I would like to have descriptive legends custom unique each 'target' (large image) image displayed. I can see the legend box personalized, move, modify, etc, but this is fixed for all images in the gallery.

  How do I change each caption for each image of the target?

  Assuming you are talking "Vignettes" under "Slide shows" widget in the widget library, simply drag the widget on a page to insert it. Once inserted, make sure you have legends in reverse by clicking the widget inserted on the page, and then on the small blue arrow top right of the widget that appears once the widget itself is selected, and check the box called "Legends", this will add captions [Lorem Ipsum] to each photo, you can then at this point click or double-click the text "Lorem" on each photo and that you want it to be. I hope this helps.

• Open several files at once

  I have a user who is trying to open several files at once in IllustratorCC. When you select several files and right click-> open, it opens to a single file. If she double clicks on a file so that it has a file open in illustrator, nothing happens. The only way she found to open several files is to go to file-> open-> Browse to the location for each file. It's your time. Is anyway to allow to quickly open multiple files similar to how older versions of Illustrator has done?

  It should work the way it does, unless something is broken in CC

  try these other two options

  1. Select all the files and press 'Enter', they should all open

  2. Select all files, and then press the 'Open' button in the toolbar of the browser

  We have (or will) have a large number of interfaces that need to be performed subsequently by their incorporation into a package. To increase readability, we have several files of project with interfaces and packages.
  Is it possible to concatenate packages (each containing many interfaces) so that we start our process only once? We want to reduce the number of people clicking on a button on startup to a minimum.

  Create a scenario for each package, and then create another package and run the scenarios of the package using the odiStartScen tool.

• For each object, create a new layer and rename it

  I want to export an Illustrator file to DWG, and I have many things I want to keep the name. But to keep this info in AutoCAD, I need to transfer them as layer names (DWG/DXF export does not record the name of the object, but the name of the first level layer) and put all these layers as layers of level first (DWG/DXF export maintains just first layers of level).

  So I would like to make or find a capable script something like this:

  for each object,.

  see if there is a layer with the name of the object

  If there is any layer with the same name

  then

  Create a layer,

  give the name of the object to the layer

  endif

  Place the object in this layer

  You can select your layer, then use "Release to layers", which will create a sublayer for each object that you have, and then a script can rename these layers based on the named object it contains... so you can drag them all out of their layer sublayers parent so that they become the main layers... everything that is explained here, including the script

• Creating ID PURL for individual E10 microsite

  We recently spent to E10 (just 2 days back) and started to work on the projects. As usual after working on E9 4 years so many questions coming... How can we do this in E10?

  My 1st question - How do we create PURL id for each microsite?

  I know that in the E10 ENV are automatically created for all contacts. But we have few forms of lead where it's hosted on a microsite and based inside the form will recognize what type of broker is the user (internal, external, agency, etc.) and open the respective forms.

  So I wanted to create an id of mesh for a new user under the respective hypersite. Anyone can guide me please how to do this.

  It works fine now. Has not changed what it is rather used the id on 'name of PURL"next to the URL of the form and it works fine

  Above all, talking to anyone will be print and make the cut to shape. They will tell you the page sizes, you need, which all depends on their shape cutting. Will / should give you dimensions for the tabs, they will also streams to work with what you have on these tabs. They will also tell you how much area unobstructed to the backbone they need.

  Then, it's pretty simple. You simply define the size of the page as needed, with the necessary margins. Your thumb tab positions are partly will depend on the degree of verbiage, you need for them. And you'll probably adjustments as you go. I created master pages for each section with the "tabs" (really just a block of text that has a rotation) positioned correctly. I add the text in them, but you can also use variables if you wish. I'm not in general.

  That's about it on the top of my head. I am sure that I left a little. All dimensions play come the people doing the printing and cutting. Communication with them is all. It is part of what you all for pay.

• How can I navigate through a series of images without having to create slides for each image?

  I'm working on a project, where I want the user to navigate through a series of photo. Insofar as I have solved the problem by creating a slide for each image and assigning the next and back button to go to previous slide / next. The problem here, it's that sometimes there is a slight lag during the passage of the blade to slide. Is there an elegant way to solve this problem?

• How to create unique variables for... in loop? (AS2)

  I have a function onEnterFrame controlling all the movie clips in a table. The movement of each of these clips is controlled by a few variables - speed, acceleration, etc - that are changed on every enterFrame. I can't understand how to create unique variables for each element of the array. Now my variables are the same for all elements, and therefore the proposals of each video clip are the same.

  I used this code to add my video clips in the table:

• Setting permissions for several files at once

  I'm sure this has been asked here, but I'm not (although I have seen that it is claimed for several years on various forums around the Internet with zero answers concrete)...

  I use to be able to grant everyone | full control on several files at once, but for some reason that is completely beyond me, 7 (and as I read it, it's from vista forward) does not display the Security tab so I have to grant permissions one by one.

  It goes without saying, but I will anyway, it's silly.  There is no 'improvement' if it is more difficult, so I have to say that I don't see anything beneficial as to why this was changed.

  Is that it will be restored to how it was before and if not, why?  I'm not a programmer, so I won't make all orders or I will visit the group permissions or whatever.

  I want to be able to select multiple files/folders at the same time and grant permissiong in 2 clicks of the mouse.

  Feasible?  Or this function a round permanantly filed because someone thinks they've created something better?

  Here are a few options:

  • If permissions should affect all the files in a folder: apply the permissions in the whole file.
  • If the permissions should affect only some files in a folder: temporarily move the files in a folder that is clean, then apply permissions to this folder. Now, move the files to return whence they came.
  • If the file names can be treated with a wildcard character, for example * .jpg: use cacls.exe to command prompt to set the permissions.

• How can I change several names of files at once?

  Say I had a group of files that I wanted to add a word at the beginning of each of them. I can edit each of them by renaming. Is it possible to add or remove something several names of files at once?

  As you can already read in your crash report - the crash has little to do with Photoshop and everything to do with your Nik/Google SelectiveTool plugin.

  Disable this plugin and contact Nik/Google for an update that fixes bugs in this plugin.

  If you have Acrobat Pro so that you can create a batch process (known as Action in Acrobat X) to add a footer to multiple files at once.
