File format which can only be changed if reviewed by customers?

Hello

I was wondering if someone could please tell me how to save a file HAVE so that no one can change the content?  I need to show a person something I designed, I don't want it to be editable, but I want to preserve the high resolution, etc..  I tried to save it as a JPEG and reopened the case in artificial intelligence, but I managed to change it, and all edges was shredded, even if I deselected "smoothing".  Any help is appreciated.

Thank you!

In general, you would Save A Copy as PDF without the option of maintaining Illustrator Edtiability in the dialog box to save the PDF file to send to a client to review.

Such a PDF can be opened in Illustrator, but the content will be "dumbed down" of simple objects. not native AI content. Very cumersome to work with.

If you do not really trust your customer... Well... you need a new customer. Beyond, pixelation, as you did by exporting as a JPEG file is an obvious option because it warns the recipient being able to edit the objects in the file, because there is no objects; It's just a raster image. But JPEG is a lossy compression format that adds ugly artifacts.

I don't want it to be editable, but I want to preserve the high resolution, etc.

You can export any resolution raster image you want. If the goal is just to review, an image of the screen-res is often suitable. If you want the Viewer to be able to zoom in to read the body of the text, etc, then just decide how much zoom you want them to have and your resolution of rasterization of figure.

If you don't have a copy of Acrobat Pro, you should get an and become familiar with it. You can lock a PDF file. It is not protected from serious thieves, but should suffice in most cases.

I tried to save it as a JPEG and reopened the case in artificial intelligence, but I managed to change it

If you export a JPEG file, then the JPEG format, no, you were not able to edit the document in the sense of editing the objects of IT. The JPEG format is just a raster image. If you open it in a raster imaging program (Photoshop, etc.), then, of course, you can change the pixels. It is far from a native file editing to HAVE.

and all of the edges have been shredded, even if I deselected "smoothing".

You seem to be back on your understanding of "smoothing". 'Aliasing' is in staircase building staircase inherent to raster images. Think of it this way: a raster image using pixels stairs to pretend (as an ' alias'), a diagonal border. "Anti-aliasing" is an algorithm that "blurs" edges pieces to cover up irregularities.

    Hello

Is it possible to set up a Vista account which can only download "microsoft updates" (that is, no other non-microsoft files can be downloaded or installed)?

I know that you can create a 'guest account ' with essentially the rights of internet browsing. I would, however, allow for some more flexibility, such as if there are microsoft updates or antivirus updates, this account is permitted to accept these files. I fear that non-microsoft files such as google or yahoo toolbars settle.

Thanks to anyone who can help us with that.

There is no installation in Windows to allow this, and I can't say I've ever heard an Add on for Windows that would allow this.

  • Y at - it a 16 - bit file format which will edit as a RAW file?

Can I export the files of a RAW converter (and use the converter color conversion/tone mapping) and still be able to edit the files as a RAW file in another converter (let's say Lightroom)?

I tried to export in TIFF format, your mapped with a tone curve average. The problem I encounter is that the recovery of light/shadow cursor does not work with the same efficiency that I am used to when working with RAW files.

Or maybe it's an inherent limitation of working with non-linear 16-bit files? If so, it would help export the file in linear TIFF (light/shadow recovery sliders would work as they do with RAW files)?

    Thank you!

I think that I just got my answer:
    http://www.magiclantern.FM/Forum/index.php?topic=15689.0

Here's the big takeaway of the forum, which refers in fact to another Adobe forum:

Our concept of ACR/LR is to make images for display or printing.  When starting with images of scene (e.g., raw), this means the tone and color mapping linear light input data (for example, if entire 12-bit or 32-bit floating-point) values adapted to reproduction (output-referred).  Given that the result is always intended to be referred to the exit, the resulting images are always stored using 8-bit or 16-bit values.  We do not all need to represent the data referred to in the output using the 32-bit values.

(ACR/LR is not intended to be a "transmission system" that can say, take the 32-bit input image data and also broadcast to end 32-bit image data.  It is possible to do so, although clumsily.)

It appears from this forum, we could actually use DaVinci Resolve to successfully create a high dynamic range EXRs of raw data and don't lose any of your original data.

  • Editable region can only be changed in Code view

I recently upgraded to CS5 and launched a new site today (first one I built from scratch in CS5). As usual, I built a model. In this model, I did two editable regions. The first is a div called PageContent. I did the whole div editable. It goes the same for the sidebar DIV. When I create a new page in this model I can change only the editable code view areas. I get the symbol "unauthorized" in Design view.

The page is fully editable in CS3 in design mode.

To facilitate the display of code from that page is http://Bryant.melanieadcock.com/index.html

    CSS is available at http://Bryant.melanieadcock.com/bryantstyle.CSS

No idea... seems to be a software problem. I have updates.

Started happening after I upgraded to Firefox 10

Not all support 64-bit plugins and if not, you must start Firefox in 32-bit mode to use this plugin.

    1. Closing of Firefox
    2. Launch the Finder and open the Applications folder
    3. Make a right click or Ctrl-click the icon of Firefox.app
    4. Select "Get Info."
    5. Select or deselect the option "open in 32-bit mode".
    6. Close window "Firefox Info"
    7. Restart Firefox

I use Firefox v12 to open a hyperlink to a Web site that points to a door MS Word Document to download.

Then, we are asked to open the file with MS Word (default), which is our installed version of MS Word 2010.

Firefox then renames the file by adding a .docx file name for example filename.doc.docx. MS Word 2010 opens with the error "invalid file format", which is correct that Firefox has renamed.

Is there a fix or a workaround for this?

  • Can only save as .cptl

    2Hello!

I looked, but I see no other discussion that answer the question that I have experience. I am using Captivate 5 on Mac and when I select "Save as" for my projects, I don't have the option to save a file of type .cptl and NOT .cptx.

I can change the extension manually and everything is ok, but it's just a little annoying having to do with almost all the files.

I work with most of the files are created from a standard model we use at my employer. It is likely that this file was created in an earlier version of Captivate. This would be the cause of my problem?

Thanks in advance for any help!

    -Miki

The good news is that it is not a question of Mac.

On my Windows system, if I double click on a file cptl it opens to Cp5 as a cptl file and I can only save - as a file cptl (using the drop down).  When you open the cptl, Captivate think that you want to change the model, and it only allows you to save it as a template (again, in using the drop down).  Because, well, it's what you do... you change the model.

If you use the new project > project model option it will open the file cptl and then give you save it as a cptx option.

Why isn't the case to your co-workers on Windows is another question, because I have seen what you are and I'm on windows.

For the moment, I'm working with Flash Builder 4.01 trial and now I have 8 days left before it stops working. So I went to the Adobe store to order 4 FB, but I was surprised of DIF on this Flash Builder seems to be available in the version 4.5, which can only be pre- ordered. Well, I did all that, but at the end of this procedure Adobe lets me know that it could take up to 3 may before FB is available!

It means to me that the project that I worked on is forced to a stop 2 weeks!

I missed something? This must be a mistake, or what? Otherwise, I find it a totally unacceptable way of marketing Flash Builder. Are there any alternatives? I don't FB 3, I have to find a way to extend the trial of 4 FB or get FB 4 within a week in order to continue working on my project.

  • Best line drawing import in InDesign file format

I was wondering what is the file format accepted and recommended for the files to import into InDesign. I was under the impression that the files I should be saved in EPS, but I just read an article that said that Adobe Dov Isaacs said that the eps will soon be obsolete. What I would do. I work on the curriculum that contains photos and line art and we use for the old tiff and eps for the latter. Most of our line is done in artificial intelligence. Howeverwe have a cartoonist who sends us files in jpg format. What would be the best format to file for him and for us as we draw in artificial intelligence?

    Article link: http://www.prepressure.com/library/file-formats/EPS

The future of the EPS file format

EPS quickly became an obsolete file format which is replaced by PDF as PostScript itself is also removed gradually and by PDF. Don't take just my word on that. Dov Isaacs of Adobe said in a discussion on a forum of PrintPlanet on the future of PostScript: ' ... '. Adobe will continue to support the EPS graphic format inherited for import of managed, opaque colors graphic data in applications (such as InDesign and Illustrator) Adobe.  Although some of us recommend that new graphic content be stored in format EPS (except to satisfy the need to import data in the programs layout that are not quite focused on PDF - no need to name names here!), our user base should feel comfortable that there is no need to worry about a need to convert their very important EPS graphic asset libraries. »

    OK, you used my name...

First of all, I have never said "that EPS will soon be obsolete." I did not use those words explicitly or even implicitly. The legacy implies that this is really not the current workflow favorite, plain and simple.

Regarding the cartoons, the format used to send the cartoon really depends on how the cartoons are drawn. If the cartoon is physically drawn on paper the pen and hand coloring, then it's probably logical to scan these drawings and save as TIFF, JPEG files scans not! JPEG is frozen and especially poor for what looks like actually to the linework. If the cartoons are drawn in a program such as Adobe Illustrator vector, then the best format to send to you is clear, either PDF or at worst, native Adobe Illustrator (.) Files HAVE).

I want to convert my video files in FLV format as im eager to export the video in flash, this seems to be the only format that it will accept. Media Encoder is more to this format, how can I get around this?

I could be wrong, but in my research for this issue, I learned that there is no solution from Adobe to convert an F4V or a FLV. I talked to Adobe support directly and they told me to buy a 3rd party conversion program. I find absolutely stupid that the only way to embed a video in Animate using a FLV or F4V, and there is no codec to convert video in this format.
