File system backup as well as the database
Hello, people dear oracle,Is it possible to make the backup hot to the application (files) as well as the database layer?
Best practices in this regard?
I know it does not seem serious and it is not an urgent issue, but I would appreciate if someone can find more information about this.
Thank you.
Yes it is possible (assuming that you are on Linux/Unix). However, you may lose some of the files that are generated at the time wherever you take the backup of the node (s) application layer, as (files of applications simultaneous/out of the newspaper, newspapers of CM... etc).
Thank you
Hussein

Thank you, proven
Initialization, use the following code
utilities.getFileService().writeStringToFile("C:/Sample.csv", "ColumnName"+"\n");
Use the following code in a race where you want to capture the data in csv format
Let your data is in the variable variable_value
utilities.getFileService().appendStringToFile("C:/Sample.csv", eval("{{variable_value}}")+"\n");

[Database Toolbox] possibility to Load From xml file in Labview and then in the database
Before you write in my database, I want to save it and reload if the user wants to cancel the new charge that can last several minutes.
If he cancels the load I get back my previous database data.
I managed to save my database in XML through the "DB tools SaveRecordSet To File" VI. This VI records directly contains my database table in the xml file. And finally, I only if the other VI to load file will do the same thing, means load the file and save it in my database but it gives just a recordset in labview.
Question: is it possible just to load the xml file into the database directly through Labview?
Why, finally, these screws do not have the same behavior?
I don't know, but I just thought I would chime, that if you fail to do with LabvIEW, you might want to look by making your writing in a 'Transaction' database, if your DBM takes in charge (most except MS Access)

try to do a procedure from your original like this code:
procedure make_pdf(p_subscriber_no in number, p_subscriberdno in number) is l_blob blob; l_mime_type varchar2 (100); l_blob2 blob; l_mime_type2 varchar2 (100); mport varchar2(200); mrserver varchar2(20); begin warn('fsubdno'||p_subscriberdno); commit; mrserver := rserver(); mport := 'http://'||mrserver||'/jasperreportsintegration/report'; -- generate the report and return in blob xlib_jasperreports.set_report_url (mport); warn('firststrikeeee'); xlib_jasperreports.get_report (p_rep_name => 'reinvx', p_rep_format => 'pdf', p_data_source => 'chess', p_rep_locale => 'de_de', p_rep_encoding => 'utf-8', p_additional_params => '&Psubscribe_no='||p_subscriber_no||'&Psubscribed_no='||p_subscriberdno, p_out_blob => l_blob, p_out_mime_type => l_mime_type ); blob_loadb (mid(),p_subscriber_no,null,'renewal_invoice','renewalinv'||p_subscriber_no,l_mime_type,l_blob); -- release resources dbms_lob.freetemporary (l_blob); exception when others then xlog ('prc_get_report_tunnel', sqlerrm, 'error'); raise; end;
Then, you can call this procedure in a database job that you create with an apex as this process:
begin dbms_scheduler.create_job ( job_name => 'make_pdf_job', job_type => 'PLSQL_BLOCK', job_action => 'begin make_pdf(' || :P103_SUBSCRIBER_NO || ',' || :P103_SUBSCRIBERDNO|| ') end;', start_date => systimestamp, repeat_interval => null, end_date => null, enabled => true, comments => 'Make pdf job from Apex page 103.'); end;

HOW TO FORMAT A FILE SYSTEM RAW PEN DRIVE TO THE FAT32 FILE SYSTEM
I have an of Sandisk USB key that is formatted by Místek in raw Format, so plaese tell me that how I can convert it from raw to fat 32 System. I await your response.
Thank you.
USB and SD drives readers are better formatted with a tool specifically designed for this purpose. HP has a tool with external USB drives in mind and can format FAT32 or NTFS. Looking for a. EXE file downloaded from the Internet can be a bit daunting, so I downloaded the copy I use on my SkyDrive and made available on the link below.
It is a stand-alone. EXE which requires no installation runs. Note that you need to provide administrator rights to use the above. This provides the elevated permissions necessary for formatting on a Windows 7 system. On a related note, DD disks must be formatted with a special formatting tool that keeps the reserved protected area that allows them is set (the S in SD). The best place for an SD card formatting tool is SDCard.org on the link below. -
It is a small thing, but when I try to copy a new version of a file on the desktop, a window opens, asking me if I want to replace the old version.
I already knew that, is not a problem. However, I also put my wallpaper to change every few seconds (completely unrelated), and every time he does, the window above will behind other windows. I was wondering if it was a bug, or if I could change my settings to fix it?Hello
The window you are using is the active, sometimes message windows cannot force to be active. It is designed so that it does not disturb the work you do in making himself one active.

File system for FRA and external backups
Oracle 11g R2.
The FRA drive is formatted using Linux x 83 put on Diskgroup + FRA system.
Backups are stored outside on an ext3 file system.
Suppose now the database gets completely crashed and I need to recover by continuing external backups. I will copy the external backups to the + FRA disk and then perform the recovery from there.
My question is, given that external backups are on ext3 file system, while the FRA is the Oracle ASM filesystem, there will be a problem for the use of the file systems of the two difference?
Thank you
Scott
scottjhn wrote:
To summarize the issue:
In my system, the database will be on ASM disk group + DATA (disk1 disk2).
I will use another disk, disk3 (ext3 file system) for FRA, to organize data files backups and multiplexed logs (archive logs, online newspapers and control files).
Earlier you said "I'll use the + FRA (ASM disk group) for the fast recovery area that holds that archiving multiplexed logs, recovery online logs, and control files.» Nothing else. »
Now, I need one more place to hold the copy of the multiplexed logs.
Wouldn't not on the same + (ABOVE)? Alternatively, use a disk full-fledged, disk4 (ext3 file system)?
Thank you
Scott
First of all, the reason for multiplexing online redo logs and control files is not the same as that of multiplexing archivelogs. Do it online and the control file are actually a part of the database. The database will not work without them. This is why it is so important to have multiplex. Archivelogs, on the other hand, are part of your backup strategy. The database itself really doesn't care if you have any archivelogs at all. The archivelogs multiplexing is much less common. I have never multiplexed mine, but I do not have a task that runs every hour to copy any newly created on a server off-site.
If your database is on ASM, at least a control file and a member of each group of redo log must be in ASM. Technically, is not having to be, but it's really foolish not to do so. Where to put the second copy? Probably several schools of thought on this. If your FRA is on ext3, so it seems a simple decision... a FRA copy, a copy in its default location in ASM.

Hello
I want to know about file system in oracle 10g.
Please advice me what is the best among OMF and manually.
Kind regards
Mark,OMF is not a file system but it's a way to manage the files of db oracle in a way more better. It is the basis of ASM in 10g which took a file system to manage not only the database files, but also files not also db 11g using the ACF. If you're on 9i, you are limited to the OMF format only, but if you are in 10g, ASM you should use to get a large number of benefits than to just the files is created and managed by oracle.

The backup disk has a corrupted file system (0 x 81000008)
My computer has been implemented full backups per week on an external hard drive. This week the back-up was not entirely successful. When you click to view the details, I get the following error message - "backup has a corrupted file system. "Fix it using the disk error checking tool or change backup settings to a different location. I then click to start the disk check. While the scan starts he gets only through files about 14000 and the dialog progress bar disappears completely, then the analysis stops. I'm not sure a to how to solve the problem without deleting backups since I can't run the error-checking tool. I know that I can reformat my drive external hard (according to the manufacturer's directions), but I'm not ready to lose all that data.
Hi PAmom24kids,
This is an external USB- drive that you use?
First of all, you can check your hard drive for errors
http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/check-your-hard-disk-for-errors
Select also automatically fix file system errors
Let us know if it works,
Kind regards.

This error can occur if there are problems of system files on the drive selected for the backup file location. Have you tried to save the backup to a drive or another location? Please try the following to fix the disc[1] method: Using Check Disk to find the files corrupt- In the start menu, look for invites
- Right click on command prompt and select run as administrator
- When the application starts, insert the following text and press ENTER: Chkdsk.exe/f/x k:
Where we mean K: the disc damaged.
NOTICE: Check disk is maybe not able to lock the drive and launch the operation if the disk contains files required for Windows to run correctly. It asks if you want to schedule a check disk at the next startup upwards instead.Thank you
Have a nice day :) -
How to download a java class of database to the file system
Hi all
We have an invalid java class into the database. To check what is the functionality of this class. So, we planned to download this class for the file system. Then we decompile the source. But we are not able to identify the correct command to download the java database class.
Please suggest me if any possible ways to achieve this.
Thanks in advance...http://www.SQL.ru/Forum/actualthread.aspx?TID=747308

Backup of Windows 7 - the system cannot find the specified path, error Code 0 x 80070003
I have serious problems back up my own machine to a share on our FILE SERVER as \\FILE-SERVER\Backup\
I have already backed up another PC using exactly the same settings I used on my PC successfully. So I guess it's nothing to do with the FILE SERVER or the backup settings. There must be something to do with what I'm trying to backup of my machine.
First, some background. This exercise was started when Windows Server 2008 r2 o/s fell one of our servers. I tried to reinstall the operating system several times, without success. In the end, I caught another drive and rebuilt the o/s on the server. Then I got in trouble by promoting to a domain on the network controller. In the end, I've renamed server FILE Server for FILE SERVERS.
We share regularly four records on what is now the FILE SERVER:
\\FILE-SERVER\Backup - a folder where the backups of all other devices are written, so that they will be saved with the server
\\FILE-SERVER\Company - contains all of the data of our company
\\FILE-SERVER\GEM - this is for our own database application
\\FILE-SERVER\Install - contains all the installation files for the software we use
These are all inmates on a RAID 1 array that is separate from the system drive that covered.
On my laptop, I had made these "Available offline" shared folders, while I still had everything that is available to me when I was away from the office. They were of course shared under \\FILESERVER\... not \\FILE-SERVER\... Before the server down, I had backup works fine on my machine.
After having got the server up and going again, I started going there from the WIndows 7 Client PC backups again. I started with a desktop computer, which of course have not all offline files. This turned out to be relatively simple.
Then, I started with my machine. Initially I did not 'Available offline' folders shared meanings. I created my backup using exactly the same settings that had worked OK on the desktop. But when I ran the backup I got:
The system cannot find the specified path, error Code 0 x 80070003
I tried all sorts of things to make it work:
- with or without an image of the system.
- reducing the backup in a single folder.
- do it again 'available offline files
Nothing makes no difference. In the end, I looked in the Sync Center to look at the offline files folder. Under mapped network drives I discovered that I still had the files and folders in \\FILESERVER. In their Menu Popup 'Always available offline' is grayed out. So I deleted the Copies offline. This delete the files in the folders but not files.
Since I could find no way to delete the old mapped network drives. I decided that I had painted myself into a corner. So I bit the bullet and re-installed my laptop too. This will get rid of the unwanted old mapped network drives - BUT NOT the ERROR!
HELP - I'm running out of ideas!
I have a WORD Document that all the settings that I used on the server and Clients, as well as the reasoning behind these settings, documents, but I can't find a way to download.
Hi Brian,.
These problems occur because the folders or libraries that you are trying to back up or restore include a reparse point.
Analytical points are similar to shortcuts Windows or Unix symbolic links. A point of analysis can be used to point to a file that is moved temporarily to a different drive. For example, a reparse point would a folder such as C:\DVD to point to drive E, the real DVD player.Perform the steps from the link below and see if the backup works.
Windows backup or restore 0 x 80070001, 0 x 81000037 or 0 x 80070003 errors
If you work with Windows Server 2008 and the mapped drives, I would recommend that you post the question in the TechNet forums.
