File system error (1003) on any attempt to access files

First of all - I have blackberry.io.file in the config.xml file.

Anytime, I try to read the file, extract of its existence or save it - I get the same exact message each time.

File system error (1003).

Handheld is a Torch 9800

AT & T

6.0.0.246.

Funny, that's exactly the same code works fine on a 5 9700 version handset.

Any ideas would be appreciated.

TIA

It work?

var fileLocation   = "file:///store/home/user/documents/MCMClient.dat";

or do this?

var fileLocation   = "file:///SDCard/MCMClient.dat";

I was under the impression that only the file:///SDCard and the file:///store/home/user/... are writable.  Maybe wrong however.

  • Need help to work around the error message: Houston-27101: attempt to access an entity died in OT.

    Hello world

    My logic in prepareForDML() updates some attributes (shown in the excerpt below) based on the question whether an insert or an update is in progress. But, when I delete a line, I get the following error: Houston-27101: attempt to access an entity died in OT. So far, I have not been able to catch this error.

            if (operation == DML_INSERT) {
                setLineId((new SequenceImpl("eo_s",
                                            getDBTransaction()).getSequenceNumber()));

                setCreationDate(currentDateAndTime);
                setLastUpdatedBy(lastUpdatedBy);
                setLastUpdateDate(currentDateAndTime);
            } else if (operation == DML_UPDATE) {
                setLastUpdatedBy(lastUpdatedBy);
                setLastUpdateDate(currentDateAndTime);
            }

    Any advice would be appreciated. Thank you!

    You can turn on debugging of BC4J with :-Djbo .debugoutput = console (ADF & amp;) WebLogic how to: activate on your ADF Application Diagnostic Messages)

    Debug log will probably contain information about the columns that cause this error (you will probably see something like: "compare entity failed to attribute...").

    And what about new info provided in your last post:

    If OS is based on db, you can expect problems with line lock (because EO use internal methods doSelect() and lock() and db views cannot be locked)

    Also, check if you have set the primary key on your entity object columns.

  • Computer XP has unexpected restarts and system error 1003 event ID 102

    I have a similar problem as my previous shows:

    Computer restarts without reason see or crashes.
    I already reinstalled the system on a whole new drive as restarting Thursday July 28 ended in an endless restart loop.
    Until yesterday, the clean system has been works well, but suddenly she has restarted.

    I tried to follow the input from Joselbarra, but I wasn't able to get a blue screen.
    The computer comes from the reboot.

    Fortunately, I have some images of memory I put logging into place when reinstalling.

    The last restart resulted in no error message in the system event log.

    So here's the information that I have collected:

    System of brand / model: it is a dimotion of old ditech under 4 (computer Austrian company HW and SW) AMD Sempron with 1 GB of memory and an additional graphics controller (I do not use one on board) running Windows XP Professional

    Config antivirus: Avira! (latest version, downloaded Friday, July 29, 2011) and Spybot Search & Destroy.

    It has 2 DVD players, it is a DVD from LG burner, the other is just a player.

    Version full bootable to Windows XP Professional, bought in 2007 at ditech with computer

    Rebooting the system is not reproducible on any action or command. It just ahappens occasionally.
    I got it twice yesterday and twice today, while the second time the computer has not created a dump of memory needed 3 restarts coming up again completely (first time it froze, second time I just see a black screen... need to press reset butten it rise again)

    He was never a BSOD, just a restart. Chicken even disabled this option in the settings startup and recovery.

    Hope someone can help nail down the problem.

    I downloaded them on my Skydrive so you need them too.

    Let me know if you need anything else for that to be resolved.

    BTW: if I remember well first numbers started with installation and download of Service Pack 3, which led to the system now crashes and restarts.

    Thanks for any help you can provide

    Hi all, thanks for your help and comments.

    As mentioned earlier, I gave to buy a new graphics to try and since then I have no problem with that. No unexpexted start again. But now I have problems with the audio driver... but it's a driver problem I guess, not MSWinXP :-)

    y2kim, I'll upload the files you mentioned, as for.

    Once again, thank you for the help and advice.

  • Error: < module name > Application attempts to access a secure API

    Hello

    I created and successfully deployed a small application on a BB using BB Desktop Manager, after receiving my first ever signature keys and save them on my PC. The app contained a few buttons going to a couple of functions API of BB.

    Now, I created another application that contains 2 pages. First htm page displays an image in the background with a top button, which navigates to the next page of htm, containing just a background img. As seen in the Simulator works beautifully. But when deployed and ran device BB gives the error mentioned in the subject.

    First of all, I created app with out referring to any BB API (I mean, with no tag). Also worked well in the Simulator. Then created with a reference to the function 'blackberry.identitiy' in the configuration file (but do not use it anywhere in the program). Now also works well in the Simulator but results in the same error in Sib.

    I went through google searches. All report to signature keys. Curious to know, can't a PC with signature keys stored, will be used to establish more than one app. I'm sure that the answer is Yes... then why is the problem?

    Can someone help me solve this problem quickly. I ask for a new signing key pair?

    I do not pretend to re - register your keys...

    What function "Build together" you speak and how it interacts with registration keys?

    We have a specific build configuration that is selected for a widget that does sign.  Once you have registered your keys once you don't need the re - record.

    Whenever you want to perform a generation that will be delivered to a device, you must set your release build configuration and sign.

  • Any attempt to create results by "Access denied" error zip file

    Windows 7 Professional 64 bit.  I am logged in as administrator.  UAC is not active on this machine.

    Any attempt to create a zip file results in a dialog box stating "unable to complete the operation.  Access is denied. "
    If I select a file or group of files/folders, do a right click and say 'Send to Zip', I get this error.  Interestingly, while the error dialog box is still open, the zip file will be displayed in the current folder.  Clicking OK in the box dialog error cancels the dialog box and deletes the zip file.
    This seems to be some sort of permissions thing.  Can I create a zipfile by clicking right in the Explorer window by clicking on "new", then "compressed (zipped) folder", and it will create the file very well.  I can even give it a name.  Any attempt to copy anything in this new zip file generates an error "file not found or no read permission.  Try to delete the zip file says 'you need permission from administrators to make changes to this file.
    So now, I open the properties for the zip file and go to the Security tab.  It was there that I discovered that this file has no owner are entrusted to him.  I can then change owners, add my name as the owner of the file, assign full control to myself, apply the changes, and now the zip file can be read/written/removed normally.
    So whenever I need to create a zip file, I have to go through the steps of creating-> change the properties of the-> Assign owner-> Apply-> add files to the Zip file.  It's a royal pain in the keester.
    My question is: what changes to do to confide as the owner by default when a zip file is created?  This seems to happen with only zip files, any other type of file gives me this problem.  What happened since I got this computer brand new with Windows 7 64 - bit on it.  I can't say that it is a "Virgin" installation, he was photographed by a group of COMPUTER companies (I work for a fairly large company).  This group is a clue what happens and apparently others in our society do not report this problem.

    Solved! The problem is with the permissions on the 'TEMP' directory which is used during the process of zip. See this announcement and scroll down to "more useful answer.

  • Subvis call go dynamically within an exe file (avoiding the error 1003)

    Hello

    I use an architecture where the main program (compiled into an exe) can be supplied with a user-'plugins', which are collections of screw types inside a folder named especially compared to the exe. They can be called in the exe via 'open reference vi' provided by the corresponding strict vi types and corresponding relative paths.

    I want to avoid having to include one of the plugins in some way in the application builder, because users must be able to create own plugins that the request is totally ignore during the generation.

    In principle, this approach works rather well, since these plugins are not extremely complex, but sometimes, I get an error 1003 when loading a plugin.

    I have read many old posts on this error in this particular situation, mainly using versions of LV 7 or 8 (I use 2012). It was suggested to build a source distribution for each plugin, including everything that is used from vi.lib, instr.lib and user.lib. Indeed, it helped in my particular case - however, it bloats the plugin 'distribution' (which consists originally only a couple of the screws of the user) extremely and complicates the development user side.

    Now some good plugins run from in the exe without having to build a distribution source for them (they still use many vi.lib live) while others don't, and I have no idea why...

    These plugins are wrappers for hardware drivers that allow to control any hardware instrument within the main application via a certain API. So, in a particular case, a plugin that produces the error 1003 uses VISA series features (everything inside... \vi.lib\Instr\_visa.llb) and one without error doesn't (yet he uses several features of... \vi.lib\Utility\...).

    I can solve VISA problems in a simple way by including (only) the VISA-vis opportunity (and typedefs) inside the plugin folder and explicitly link to them (i.e. replace the VISA-vis of vi.lib with those copied to the folder of the plugin - I guess that's also what the source distribution).

    However, I'm confused why certain plugins with work of related vi.lib while others screws produce an error 1003 unless these special screws are explicitly distributed and connected with them...

    Oh and just for completeness: all plugins are working fine if the callee in the development system, the problem occurs only if called from an exe file.

    Do plug-ins that work depend on the screw in vi.lib who are already part of your executable file because the main program uses these same screws?

    All the screws that your plugin needs must be available, if applicable can mean to be already loaded into memory (for the main of the application or another plugin), or can be found on the disk and load.  An executable includes all the screws of vi.lib - it includes only those he uses (and the screws that are marked always 'include' in the build specification).  I suspect that the plugins that work only dependent vi.lib screws which are also used by the main executable file.

  • Win XP with Windows\system32\config\system error message unable to restart in any mode.

    I have a desktop computer Acer, about 4 years old, running Windows XP SP2. When I started my computer, it does not boot in any mode, and I get this error message:

    Windows has not start because the following file is missing or damaged:
    \windows\system32\config\system
    You can attempt to repair this file by starting windows setup using the original setup cd-rom
    Select 'r' in the first screen to start repair.

    I don't have a Setup disk and wonder if it would help in all cases. Any ideas?
    You can not download configuration online info. I have a second XP computer which is supposed to have access to the configuration file in the Add/Remove Programs section, but I don't have any tab to create a disk for installation here. Do you know where he's hiding on this computer? If not, can I get a copy of this MS installation disc?
    Thank you

    Manual steps to recover a corrupted registry that prevents the start of the procedure that this article describes to Windows XP using System Restore and Recovery Console. This article lists also all required specific steps to ensure that the process is fully completed. When you have completed this procedure, the system returns to a state very close to the State until the problem occurred. If you have ever run NTBackup and completed a system state backup, you don't have to follow the procedures in parts two and three. You can go to part IV. First part in the first part, you start the Recovery Console, create a temporary folder, back up the existing registry files to a new location, delete the registry from their existing location files and then copy the registry files in the repair folder to the System32\Config folder. When you have completed this procedure, a registry is created that you can use to start Windows XP. This registry was created and saved during the initial setup of Windows XP. Therefore, any changes and settings that took place after Setup has finished are lost.

    The full, first part, follow these steps:

    1. Insert the diskette of starting Windows XP in the floppy drive, or insert the Windows XP CD into the CD-ROM drive and restart the computer.
      Click to select all of the options required to start the computer from the CD-ROM drive if you are prompted to do so.
    2. When the "Welcome" screen appears, press R to start the Recovery Console.
    3. If you have a dual-boot or multiboot, select the installation that you want to access from the Recovery Console.
    4. When you are prompted to do so, type the administrator password. If the administrator password is blank, just press ENTER.
    5. At the Recovery Console prompt, type the following lines, pressing ENTER after you type each line:
      MD tmp
      copy c:\windows\system32\config\system c:\windows\tmp\system.bak
      copy c:\windows\system32\config\software c:\windows\tmp\software.bak
      Copy c:\windows\system32\config\sam c:\windows\tmp\sam.bak
      copy c:\windows\system32\config\security c:\windows\tmp\security.bak
      copy c:\windows\system32\config\default c:\windows\tmp\default.bak

      delete c:\windows\system32\config\system
      delete c:\windows\system32\config\software
      Delete c:\windows\system32\config\sam
      delete c:\windows\system32\config\security
      Delete c:\windows\system32\config\default

      Copy c:\windows\repair\system c:\windows\system32\config\system
      copy c:\windows\repair\software c:\windows\system32\config\software
      copy c:\windows\repair\sam c:\windows\system32\config\sam
      Copy c:\windows\repair\security c:\windows\system32\config\security
      Copy c:\windows\repair\default c:\windows\system32\config\default

    6. Type exit to quit the Recovery Console. Your computer will restart.

    Note This procedure assumes that Windows XP is installed in the C:\Windows folder. Make sure that replace C:\Windows with the appropriate dossier_Windows if it is a different place.

    If you have access to another computer, to save time, you can copy the text in step 5, and then create a text file called "Regcopy1.txt" (for example). To use this file, run the following command when you start in Recovery Console:

    batch regcopy1.txt

    With the command batch to the Recovery Console, you can process all the commands in a text file in the order. When you use the batch command, you do not have to manually type as many commands. Second part to perform the procedure described in this section, you must be logged on as an administrator or an administrative user (a user who has an account in the Administrators group). If you use Windows XP Home Edition, you can connect as an administrative user. If you sign in as an administrator, you must first start Windows XP Home Edition in safe mode. To start the computer in Windows XP Home Edition in safe mode, follow these steps.

    Note Print these instructions before continuing. You cannot view these instructions after you restart the computer in Mode safe. If you use the NTFS file system, also print the instructions from article KB309531 of the Knowledge Base. Step 7 contains a reference to the article.

    1. Click Start , click shut down (or click turn off computer ), click restart , and then click OK (or click restart ).
    2. Press the F8 key.

      On a computer that is configured to start to multiple operating systems, you can press F8 when you see the boot menu.

    3. Use the arrow keys to select the appropriate safe mode option and press ENTER.
    4. If you have a dual-boot or multiboot system, use the arrow keys to select the installation that you want to access, and then press ENTER.

    In part two, you copy the registry of their location saved files by using the system restore. This folder is not available in the Recovery Console, and is usually not visible on the typical use. Before you begin this procedure, you must change several settings to make the folder visible:

    1. Start Windows Explorer.
    2. On the Tools menu, click folder options .
    3. Click the view tab.
    4. Under hidden files and folders , select Show hidden folders and files , and then click to clear the Hide protected (recommended) operating system files check box.
    5. When appears in the dialog box confirming that you want to display these files, click Yes .
    6. Double-click the drive where you installed Windows XP to display the list of folders. If it is important to click on the correct drive.
    7. Open the System Volume Information folder. This folder is not available and is dimmed because it is defined as a file hidden doubling.

      Note This folder contains one or more _restore {GUID} folders such as "_restore {87BD3667-3246-476B-923F-F86E30B3E7F8}.

      Note You may receive the following error message:

    C:\System Volume Information is not accessible. Access is denied.

    If you receive this message, see the following article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base for access to this folder and continue with the procedure:

    309531 (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/309531/) how to access the System Volume Information folder
  • Open a folder that was created not at the present time. You may need to click Details on the view menu to see when these folders were created. There may be one or more folders starting with "RPx under this folder. Here are the restore points.
  • Open one of these folders to find a subfolder of the snapshot. The following path is an example of a folder path to the snapshot folder:
    C:\System Volume \RP1\Snapshot Information\_restore {D86480E3-73EF-47BC-A0EB-A81BE6EE3ED8}
  • Starting from the Snapshot folder, copy the following files to the C:\Windows\Tmp folder:
    • _REGISTRY_USER_. DEFAULT
    • _REGISTRY_MACHINE_SECURITY
    • _REGISTRY_MACHINE_SOFTWARE
    • _REGISTRY_MACHINE_SYSTEM
    • _REGISTRY_MACHINE_SAM
  • Rename the files in the C:\Windows\Tmp folder as follows:
    • Rename _REGISTRY_USER_. DEFAULT DEFAULT
    • Rename _REGISTRY_MACHINE_SECURITY to SECURITY
    • Rename _REGISTRY_MACHINE_SOFTWARE to SOFTWARE
    • Rename _REGISTRY_MACHINE_SYSTEM to SYSTEM
    • Rename _REGISTRY_MACHINE_SAM to SAM
  • These files are the system restore registry files. Because you used the registry file that the Setup program created, this registry does not know that these restore points exist and are available. A new folder is created with a new GUID under System Volume Information and a restore point is created that includes a copy of the registry files that were copied during the first part. Therefore, it is important not to use the most recent folder, especially if the time stamp on the folder is the same at the moment.

    The current configuration of the system is not aware of the previous restore points. You must have a previous copy of the registry to a previous restore point to make previous restore available again points.

    The registry files that were copied to the Tmp folder in the C:\Windows folder are moved to ensure the files are available in the Recovery Console. You use these files to replace the registry files currently in the C:\Windows\System32\Config folder. By default, the Recovery Console has limited access to records and cannot copy the files in the File System Volume.

    Note The procedure described in this section assume you are using your computer with the FAT32 file system. For more information on how to access the folder of information system with the NTFS file system Volume, click on the number below to view the article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base:

    309531 (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/309531/) how to access the System Volume Information folder

    Part three in the third part, you delete the existing registry files, and then copy the system restore registry files to the C:\Windows\System32\Config folder:

    1. Start the Recovery Console.
    2. At the command prompt, type the following lines, pressing ENTER after you type each line:
      del c:\windows\system32\config\sam

      del c:\windows\system32\config\security

      del c:\windows\system32\config\software

      del c:\windows\system32\config\default

      del c:\windows\system32\config\system

      copy c:\windows\tmp\software c:\windows\system32\config\software

      copy c:\windows\tmp\system c:\windows\system32\config\system

      copy c:\windows\tmp\sam c:\windows\system32\config\sam

      Copy c:\windows\tmp\security c:\windows\system32\config\security

      Copy c:\windows\tmp\default c:\windows\system32\config\default

    Note Some of these command lines may be wrapped for readability.

  • Type exit to quit the Recovery Console. Restart the computer.
  • Note This procedure assumes that Windows XP is installed in the C:\Windows folder. Make sure that replace C:\Windows with the appropriate dossier_Windows if it is a different place.

    If you have access to another computer, to save time, you can copy the text in step 2, and then create a text file named "Regcopy2.txt" (for example). To use this file, run the following command when you start in Recovery Console:

    regcopy2.txt batch

    Fourth part

    1. Click Start and then click all programs .
    2. Click on Accessories , then System Tools .
    3. Click System Restore , and then click restore to a previous RestorePoint .
