Files offline of Windows XP try to synchronize on WLAN connection

I work with folders offline for my office files. At the office, I'm connected using a standard LAN connection. When I go home and connect to my WIFI network home, synchronization of offline files try to synchronize the files, without success.
I tried of mobsync to set synchronization to occur only for the connection to the local network, but the combo box to select the network card only gives me my cell modem and LAN connections and does not display the wireless network card.

    Hello

will someone please solve my problem which is the key to registry or files will effect when we change the amount of disk space used to store in the offline files option when we go to control pane--> sync--> manageofflinefiles 8 victory while this option is not in the options of folders in Windows XP

    Hello

    Thanks for asking!

If I understand correctly, you want that registry key is responsible for the amount of storage on the disk space for offline files.

I suggest you to visit these links and check if it helps.

For the registry key, see this.

It describes the registry key that defines the value for an amount of
    storage for use offline files:
    HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\NetCache

To do: Important This section, method, or task contains steps that tell you how to modify the registry. However, serious problems can occur if you modify the registry incorrectly. Therefore, make sure that you proceed with caution. For added protection, back up the registry before you edit it. Then you can restore the registry if a problem occurs. • Error in access to files offline in Windows 7.

Hello everyone, I'm at my wit's end so I hope someone can help me.

I try to configure offline access to a storage server network for several laptops from client running W7 Enterprise.

Each user has an individual folder on the server that I maps to their systems first.

Then I click with the right button on the drive and check ' always available offline "and let the thing is Sync Center."

90% of the machines, once that is done, I can disconnect the network cable and then try to access the drive. It automatically displays the version of CCS-CACHE drive offline and the operation is transparent. When reconnected to sync LAN Center brings the server up-to-date copy.

For the other 10% However, after disconnecting the network cable, click on the drive generates the error message:

"An error occurred while reconnnecting G: at \\CompanyServer\ShareFolder\users\jones Microsoft Windows network: the local device name is already in use." This connection has not been restored. »

-The cache offline has certainly created because it is accessible via the 'Manage offline files' option in Sync Center.

-Reconnect the network cable usually successfully restores the connection to the drive. It's only offline access that does not work.

-It is possible to configure offline access to readers of same using different customer laptops.

  • Files offline of Windows XP on a domain

After installing a second NETWORK card on a Windows XP box that is in a domain, the computer continues to indicate to the user the connection is interrupted and she works offline. The second NIC is configured for a separate network that is not on the field.  Is there a way to fix this so that the connection to the server remains constant?

    Wonders,

Thank you very much for the information. I adjusted the settings of the NIC as well as disable the setting to allow the system to power down the network card.  These two things did the trick.  The second NIC was static RPI and is only used on a single subnet, so there is no gateway or DNS settings.

    Hello

It seems that there are a few system files that have trouble.  One of them being mstsc.exe, I wish you find spyware or infection by the virus first, before you try the next step.  Please see the sticky thread in the security forum.  MVP offers some good advice how to remove these problems.

    http://social.answers.Microsoft.com/forums/en-us/vistasecurity/thread/fa30853d-719a-4265-9e7b-9287567d31e3

If everything is clean, we will try a repair installation to replace the problem files and also to ensure that other system files are good.

The 'repair' installation (upgrade on-site) will not affect your installed programs or data.  Just make sure that you are already connected to your computer when you start the installation.  Do not boot from the DVD.

If the installation does not start automatically when you insert the DVD, run setup.exe from your DVD player.

    • When the Setup program starts and the install now screen, click install now.
    • Note When you receive the important Get updates for installation message, click go online.
    • Click upgrade when the which type of installation you want? appears

Please let us know if this solves the problem for you.

  • Delete temporary Internet files offline content?

I would like to know how to delete temporary Internet files offline content. My laptop has Windows XP. I click on tools, Internet Options, general, but tab Delete Cookies, there is no option to delete offline content. I have a few racy photos that appear when the Windows and Fax Viewer Image is used. I understand that the Image and faxes pulls images in the cache of temporary Internet files at random, so I need to get rid of the content offline. Any suggestions?

If the temporary Internet files folder is hidden... try the following...

Open a folder and go... Tools / Folder Options / View tab.

Now... you'll find your TIF file to the following location:

  • Trying to recover deleted files offline

    Hello

I have a Windows 7 domain computer that had the Folder Redirection on the my documents and desktop folders. It is a portable computer that uses offline files also.

It turns out that for some reason any synchronization to the server has stopped working since a long time (over a year) and so all the files current users were not saved. Luckily there was a problem with users of profile and a junior tech removed in order to create a new one that might work. With a new profile, the synchronization is now operational but it all the old files synchronization that were on the server and the user loses the files cached on the laptop.

A search in C:\Windows\CSC folder only shows these last files cached and no old files.

I ran a file recovery tool and found thousands of deleted files in the c:\Windows\CSC\temp folder in the format of temp-{448a5a00-0e7e-11e5-8eed-5cac4cf9610e}.dat. I believe that these are old files offline because there is over 2000 of them.

Is there a way to recover these files deleted to their original form? Nearest I found is that Ubuntu can actually play some Dat files and I can back up to a normal file type but it's only a little. Please help with ideas as the user would be to more than one year of data otherwise. Also, is there a way to monitor in the center of synchronization of files on the computers in the domain offline?

    Thank you!

  • Remote Desktop error: the system cannot find the specified file. C:\WINDOWS\system32\ < LANG_NAME > \mstsc.exe.MUI

Came across an interesting problem this morning. After starting my PC from various applications (OutLook 2002, Management Studio of SQL Server 2008, etc.). I was able to connect to a server by using Remote Desktop (RDP, alias). On trying to connect to a second system, I started getting the following error message:

The system cannot find the specified file. C:\WINDOWS\system32\\mstsc.exe.MUI

Will always be connected to the server, I tried to launch a second instance using RDP, but received the same error message.

I googled the error and found different solutions (the best solution to examine ishttp://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/itproxpsp/thread/164d1e0b-51e6-4201-9dc2-3f4a0ccb14e5), however, none of the solutions seemed to work.

I tried checking the virus/malware, etc, but nothing was found. I tried to re - load the dll and the exe (s), but still not received the error message.

The next solution was to try to see what can be changed on my system (new programs, etc.). I noticed there is an update downloaded to my system (C:\Windows\WindowsUpdate.log): AutomaticUpdates content success install successful and Restart required for the following update: update for Windows XP (KB969084)... the update is related to remote desktop.

I rebooted the system, still not received the RDP error messages. Is I did a complete "install updates and shut down ', and then restarted my system that started working again.

For the record, here is some information on my system:

    XP Professional: Version 5.1 (Build 2600.xpsp_sp3_gdr.091208 - 2036: Service Pack 3)

    c:\windows\system32\mstsc.exe: 6.1.7600.16385

I wanted to just post this in case someone else runs into a similar problem...

    Thank you!

Argue for your limitations and of course they will belong. -Richard Bach, Illusions

I have a machine with the same problem

XP Professional: Version 5.1 (Build 2600

I installed the update for Windows XP (KB969084).

It does not, but a reboot is required because the system is running on the old dll

    MSTSC.exe works now

    Thanks for the info!
