Error in access to files offline in Windows 7.

Hello everyone, I'm at my wit's end so I hope someone can help me.

I try to configure offline access to a storage server network for several laptops from client running W7 Enterprise.

Each user has an individual folder on the server that I maps to their systems first.

Then I click with the right button on the drive and check ' always available offline "and let the thing is Sync Center."

90% of the machines, once that is done, I can disconnect the network cable and then try to access the drive. It automatically displays the version of CCS-CACHE drive offline and the operation is transparent. When reconnected to sync LAN Center brings the server up-to-date copy.

For the other 10% However, after disconnecting the network cable, click on the drive generates the error message:

"An error occurred while reconnnecting G: at \\CompanyServer\ShareFolder\users\jones Microsoft Windows network: the local device name is already in use." This connection has not been restored. »

-The cache offline has certainly created because it is accessible via the 'Manage offline files' option in Sync Center.

-Reconnect the network cable usually successfully restores the connection to the drive. It's only offline access that does not work.

-It is possible to configure offline access to readers of same using different customer laptops.

-J' I already tried to change the host name, the different credentials in Credential Manager, net use * / Delete Yes net use / persistent: No. I tried reconfiguring from scratch, removing the account user and recreation, same problem occur.

-J' have also installed hotfix KB2663418 even if she does not quite describe exactly the problem. But even once, this has not changed anything.

I really don't know what causes this problem and have sought intensively but found nothing. I wonder if anyone can help me?

I tried to be thorough, but if there is no crucial info that I missed above then please let me know.

Thank you

  • What is the key of registry or files to change the option of the disk space to files offline in windows xp and 8

    Hello

will someone please solve my problem which is the key to registry or files will effect when we change the amount of disk space used to store in the offline files option when we go to control pane--> sync--> manageofflinefiles 8 victory while this option is not in the options of folders in Windows XP

    Hello

    Thanks for asking!

If I understand correctly, you want that registry key is responsible for the amount of storage on the disk space for offline files.

I suggest you to visit these links and check if it helps.

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/is-is/Windows7/manage-disk-space-for-offline-files  (Applicable for Windows Xp)

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/904676?WA=wsignin1.0

For the registry key, see this.

It describes the registry key that defines the value for an amount of
    storage for use offline files:
    HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\NetCache

To do: Important This section, method, or task contains steps that tell you how to modify the registry. However, serious problems can occur if you modify the registry incorrectly. Therefore, make sure that you proceed with caution. For added protection, back up the registry before you edit it. Then you can restore the registry if a problem occurs. • Deny access to files restored after Windows 7 clean installation of Vista

  • Error code: 0xc0000034 missing file /BCD in Windows 8

    * Original title: help! Error code: file missing /BCD 0xc0000034 Windows 8!

    Hello

I have a Zoo-storm and I seem to have a lack file start.

The error code is 0xc0000034 and the missing file is /BCD.

I do not know the use of this file, but it seems important to me.

I called the ZooStorm company and they said I should have a drive, but I do not have this disc.

I really don't like if I have to completely wipe the computer but I need this problem soon.

    Help, please

    Tyler

The link you provided above comes up with a message "page cannot be found".

I have now solved the problem by using the BCDBoot command, but it took a week of research and a lot of trail and error, while I have it might have solved the first day if the BCDBoot instructions above had been better.

Here are the BCDBoot instructions above:

    1. press SHIFT + F10 when you are in the screen install Windows, elevated to the starting command prompt will now open.
    2. type DISKPART command
    3. Enter the command LIST VOLUME, note volume don't...
    4. Enter the command SELECT VOLUME 'no' (eg1, 2, 3) mine was 3
    5. Enter the command ASSIGN LETTER = Z and OUTPUT
    6 enter the BCDBoot c:\Windows /s f: UEFI z: command
    7. close and restart.

Here are my suggestions for improvement:

Point 3. above: the statement: "Note volume no....". "is useless, because it gives no indication of what are the criteria to use. I thought initially that files would be copied from the dvd of recovery on the c drive, so I noted the volume for drive c. In fact, the files are copied from the c drive, so the volume no note is one containing the BCD files used at startup, which is different. It is not obvious to me how to choose the correct volume. I guessed that it was volume 2 on my Dell laptop (labeled something like ESP or EPS) and which proved correct. Otherwise, it's trial and error again.

Point 5. above: it should be two lines, as there are has two separate orders to enter.

Point 6. above: I think that the two points between f and UEFI should not be there.

I hope that these suggestions are useful to other people, assuming they notice that there is a Page 2.

  • Files offline of Windows XP on a domain

After installing a second NETWORK card on a Windows XP box that is in a domain, the computer continues to indicate to the user the connection is interrupted and she works offline. The second NIC is configured for a separate network that is not on the field.  Is there a way to fix this so that the connection to the server remains constant?

    Wonders,

Thank you very much for the information. I adjusted the settings of the NIC as well as disable the setting to allow the system to power down the network card.  These two things did the trick.  The second NIC was static RPI and is only used on a single subnet, so there is no gateway or DNS settings.

  • How can I access files created on Windows 7, virtual pc, windows xp mode applications? __

I installed an application under virtual pc and I use the application and generate files. I can't access the files with the windows Explorer 7 - and windows Explorer cannot find in a search. I know they are there but they are "virtual".

Here are two ways to get Windows 7 to access files created in Windows XP Mode:

    1. the XP Mode virtual machine automatically assign a drive letter to each of the disks to the Windows 7 computer.  You can store files directly on these discs.
    2. you can share disk of the XP mode virtual machine and access it as a network drive in Windows 7. Boulder computer Maven

  • To access the files in the folder of the user of Windows 7 in a partition when Windows 8 running in another?

I currently have a desktop computer that boots double Windows 7 Home Premium 64 - Bit and Windows 8 on separate partitions. How can I access the files on my Windows 7 user account while using Windows 8?

How can I access the files on my Windows 7 user account while using Windows 8?

I guess the intended way is to use libraries (for example if you have to know where the files are located).  However, if you know the path to the profile of your other account the only problem I guess is permissions.

  • Error when you try to play audio files: Windows Media Player cannot access the file. The file may be in use, you won't have access to the computer where the file is stored

Windows Media Player cannot access the file. The file may be in use, you won't have access to the computer on which the file is stored, or your proxy settings are may not be incorrect.

I hope someone can help on Win 7 64 bit, music is taken on a disk usb2 external hard... I had no problem until today when the message in the title appeared next to each track, with a little red cross.

I already deleted database library as suggested by some of the forums, also disabled the media as a feature of Win 7, rebooted and then re-enabled it.  I also disconnected externally and restarted that as well, I'm also the same mistake with a cd in the cd drive as well.

    Can anyone help?

    Hello

This error may occur for one of the following reasons:
The file is currently in use. Close the file and then try again.

You are not allowed to access the location where the file is stored.

Follow these steps to grant all permissions in the folder where the files are stored:
    1. right click on the folder on the external drive and click Properties.
    2. in the Properties window, click on Security tab.
    3. now, click Edit , and then click Add.
    4. now, type everyone in the box and click OK.
    5. check the full control box.
    6. click on apply and then click OK.

You can also try the mentioned below as follows:

    1. click on start.
    2. go in Control Panel.
    3. Select "SOUND".
    4. double-click on speakers.
    5. click on the tab advanced and then uncheck the enable audio enhancements.
