Files WAV in Windows 7

I have a small collection of classical music albums that I want to keep as a WAV (torn from a non-commercial CD) files. I find however that Windows does not correctly read the news I manually enter ripping, & call these all unknown artist files, & won't let me edit their properties either. Can someone explain why this is, & even better offer a simple solution to an elder technologically challenged with pretty basic computer.

Thank you

HI - unfortunately the properties of file wav is not easily editable in order to have to choose between audio quality or tagging data.

My solution for this is to have a separate user account "audiophile" (standard) and I keep the wav. format of files. I can access this account of my main account to read the files, so there is no need to change username. You will just need to open a second account if you want to rip music to it. This way the library in your main account does not get messed up with all the stuff 'unknown '.

Plan B would be to abandon the wav. and using WMA lossless - it depends on how your ears are good! s ' there is a difference, it is minimal, unless you use your pc with high range serious equipment. WMA lossless seems quite well through my Marantz/Mission set-up.

Let me know if you need further information on any aspect of the present - cordially, Ric.

  • Transition files with FLAC and WAV in Windows Media Player 11

    Hello
is there a solution/support/plugin to get a feature a transition when I play the files FLAC and WAV in Windows Media Player 11? Now it doesn't work between my losless WMA files.
    Thanks for any help!

No, I'm pretty sure that it is not possible. A transition in WMP 11 is available only for MP3 and WMA, and I don't know any plug-ins that allow a transition to other formats.

For WMP 12 on Windows 7, the situation seems to be a little different. WMP 12 is actually melted chained WAV files, and I believe he can crossfade FLAC too, but only if you have a filter to transform Media Foundation for FLAC installed files. Unfortunately, such a thing does not exist (all active filters of FLAC are for DirectShow). Tim Baets

    Hello

I tried to fix this for hours, I hope someone can help me.

I downloaded the ISO "Win10_1607_English_x64.iso" (4.29 GB) file and with him came a "info.plist" (2 KB), so they are both on my 64 GB USB Drive (format: MS-DOS (FAT32)) called 'WINSTALL '.

I have the ISO on the USB key, and it is selected as the ISO image in Boot Camp. I also have the USB the disk of destination selected, and yet I get this error:

I'm currently under OS X El Capitan Version 10.11.6 on my iMac (21.5 inch, end 2012) that is compatible with Windows 10.

If anyone can help me I honestly love so much, I tried contacting Apple Support staff by phone, they said that they can't do anything, I tried to contact their Live Chat, but none of this has helped to solve the problem, and I tried to look online, but can't find too much.

Thanks in advance for any answer!

What OSX Version do you have? This site gives the requirements of Bootcamp: minimum system requirements to install Windows on your Mac with Boot Camp - Apple Support. And you did an upgrade? Could it be that the upgrade will not correctly for the OS?

Looking at the 10 Windows version you downloaded, is the update of birthday, which was released less than a month ago. It could be that Apple is not reconisgin the Windows version when reading the disk, because it is too recent. I don't know if you have access to the download of the previous generation and do a Windows update?

  • The access permissions to the NTFS file in "C:\windows" and "C:\Program files" are not secure

    Hey there
Had a minor shock after I discovered that the access permissions default to the "limited users" in "C:\Windows\" and "C:\Program files\" are raised by the image automatically XP - Pro installed on my Tecra A6.

Default access permissions to the NTFS file in "C:\windows" and "C:\Program files" for "A limited number of users" should not have permissions "File/writing data Creation" or "Creation of folders/adding data. This opens up for what is called dll redirection attacks (ref: http://blogs.msdn.com/aaron_margosis/)

When you install a Win XP a normal retail or OEM Windows XP cd these two folders are special protected by this measure (not allowing the permissions listed for limited users). Installation procedure of your image work it around (in established Microsoft) measure and open breaches in security.

Now I have to drop all these permissions and hope that all of the utilities of your work for limited users after that that, otherwise you get a very unhappy customer on your hands. ;)

  • Details of music file missing in Windows Explorer

Hi, I had my files of music for a long time, nothing has changed and I have something different in terms of music players.

The details of my music (artist, song etc.) files disappeared in Windows Explorer, but they appear in Winamp.
I am also unable to change file details. They are all for most .mp3 files

When you open windows Explorer, check the option views and assign details so you should be able to see the file name, size, type, artist, Album title, year, track number and duration.
You can open the player windows media, go to the library and check if you can change each file that are listed there.

  • Windows need to install files to add windows to new Mac.

Fan of my Pavilion dv6-2173 quit like the portable unit. There is no way to restart it without replacing the fan that I was going to do, so I bought a new MacBook Pro. The hard drive on the HP was fine, so I removed and got an envelope to make it an auxiliary hard drive. And I want to capture all my data files. Unfortunately, I can't find them. The drive reads very well and all subdirectories arcane of Windows appear, but I can't find the library or my personal data. I talked to Apple and they said that I probably need to use Boot Camp, capture a Windows 7 or 8 ISO file and a Windows OEM Installer (it's HP). I run into a few roadblocks, trying to put all these things together. Boot Camp was easy because it is already preloaded in the MAC, but I'm having trouble finding an ISO of Windows on the Microsoft Web site and can't find a WIndows 7 / 8 installer from the HP site.  Then... of ideas?

I was able to capture the data using the laptop of my grandson and move it across to another remote drive with FAT32 format. But it took five hours. His computer wouldn't let me access the data until I gave her administrative ok for each of the major directories. He has then spent hours clicking on each file before displaying the contents of the directory. It was taking so long with the green bar and drive hard madly flashing I thought it hung. On the advice of my wife, I contacted a House local tech. A very nice boy said that the process takes a long time and the flashing green bar means it is working properly. So, I took the laptop to my basement store where I could keep an eye on it while working on my model railroad. In three hours the files appeared and I was able to start the transfer of the directories. The root directory of my image was 39 000 images. Yet once, this forum has been the one who has the right answer.

  • Remote Desktop error: the system cannot find the specified file. C:\WINDOWS\system32\ < LANG_NAME > \mstsc.exe.MUI

Came across an interesting problem this morning. After starting my PC from various applications (OutLook 2002, Management Studio of SQL Server 2008, etc.). I was able to connect to a server by using Remote Desktop (RDP, alias). On trying to connect to a second system, I started getting the following error message:

The system cannot find the specified file. C:\WINDOWS\system32\\mstsc.exe.MUI

Will always be connected to the server, I tried to launch a second instance using RDP, but received the same error message.

I googled the error and found different solutions (the best solution to examine ishttp://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/itproxpsp/thread/164d1e0b-51e6-4201-9dc2-3f4a0ccb14e5), however, none of the solutions seemed to work.

I tried checking the virus/malware, etc, but nothing was found. I tried to re - load the dll and the exe (s), but still not received the error message.

The next solution was to try to see what can be changed on my system (new programs, etc.). I noticed there is an update downloaded to my system (C:\Windows\WindowsUpdate.log): AutomaticUpdates content success install successful and Restart required for the following update: update for Windows XP (KB969084)... the update is related to remote desktop.

I rebooted the system, still not received the RDP error messages. Is I did a complete "install updates and shut down ', and then restarted my system that started working again.

For the record, here is some information on my system:

    XP Professional: Version 5.1 (Build 2600.xpsp_sp3_gdr.091208 - 2036: Service Pack 3)

    c:\windows\system32\mstsc.exe: 6.1.7600.16385

I wanted to just post this in case someone else runs into a similar problem...

    Hello

Thanks for joining us on the Microsoft Community.

According to the description of the problem you are facing problems with reinstalling Windows XP Professional, and you are to be invited to insert the Service Pack 1 drive to complete the installation.

To help you to propose measures to solve the problem, I would appreciate if you could answer the following questions:

    1. did you uninstall Windows XP Service Pack 1 prior to reinstalling Windows XP?

    2. what was the installed Service Pack earlier?

You may need to uninstall Windows XP Service Pack 1 first and then perform the reinstallation of Windows XP and to check if the installation goes smoothly.
