Files zipped not opening

I recently downloaded a folder zipped with music that is in wav format, after having extracted the folder I found when I open the file it takes forever to open the Explorer windows causing freeze. and when I try to delete the folder it freezes just showing that its recycling activities, but nothing to really happen. I end up having to restart completely. Anyone know what could be the cause? or how I can stop this from happening. I tried to move the file elsewhere but always occurs even when I extracted the zip file again...

Hello

Please contact the Microsoft Community forums. I understand that you are unable to open the zipped files. When you open the folder it takes forever to open the Explorer windows causing freeze and when you try to delete the folder it freezes.

Where did you downloaded zip file?

Follow the steps for troubleshooting steps.

Method 1:

I suggest you check out the link.

Compress and uncompress files (zip files).

http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/compress-and-uncompress-files-ZIP-files

View (to extract (or unzip) files or folders from a compressed folder) the link above.

Method 2:

I suggest to try a clean boot and try to open the folder and try to delete the file when the computer is in a clean boot.

See the link to perform the clean boot.

How to perform a clean boot for a problem in Windows Vista, Windows 7 or Windows 8.

http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/929135

Note:

After the clean boot, start the computer in normal mode.

Follow the steps to start the computer in normal mode.

a. click Start, type msconfig.exe in the Start Search box and press ENTER. If you are prompted for an administrator password or for confirmation, you must type the password or click continue.

b. on the general tab, click the Normal startup option and then click OK.

c. When you are prompted to restart the computer, click restart.

Method 3:

If you are not able to delete the folder, then I suggest you to start the computer in safe mode and try to delete the folder.

See the link to start the computer in safe mode.

Startup options (including safe mode).

http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-in/Windows7/advanced-startup-options-including-safe-mode

Method 4:

I suggest you to run an online virus scan.

See the link.

Microsoft safety scanner.

http://www.Microsoft.com/security/scanner/en-us/default.aspx

Note: The Microsoft Safety Scanner ends 10 days after being downloaded. To restart a scan with the latest definitions of anti-malware, download and run the Microsoft Safety Scanner again.

Note: The data files that are infected must be cleaned only by removing the file completely, which means that there is a risk of data loss.

If the problem still persists, please do not hesitate to send us, we will be happy to help you.

Thank you.
