film director publication for computer problems / sound but no video

I can do and get a glimpse of a sd video in movie maker, but when I publish it, some of the clips have audio but not video. I also tried the publication of a dvd and the same result. Sometimes I can watch the clips in media player until I send them to movie maker and sometimes I can't. It also appears if I try to take the file from my documents before publication and reformat, isn't there? I had this problem throughout, I thought that I understood when I used some formats, but it doesn't seem to be the case. What can we do? I have several formats of videos on my computer

==============================================
Brief paragraph... many questions... I'll try to come up with a few ideas...

The free VLC Media Player can play any video...

(FWIW... it's always a good idea to create a system)
Restore point before installing software or updates)

VLC Media Player
http://www.videolan.org/

The file you are trying to convert may be a project .mswmm file
It is only compatible with Movie Maker... they cannot be converted.

When you try to access a video clip that you "know" is sometimes in a
file, but you can not see... is it because that the format of in that the video is
not compatibile with the software you are trying to access.

The following freeware is a useful tool to convert a lot of different
Movie Maker formats...... use the conversion to WMV format would be
a good choice.

(FWIW... it's always a good idea to create a system)
Restore point before installing software or updates)

Format Factory
http://www.pcfreetime.com/
(the file you want to download is: > FFSetup260.zip
(FWIW... installation..., you might want to
Uncheck the box 'all' boxes on the last screen)

First, you will need to decompress the file or just open the
Drag FFSetup260.exe out of the folder
and drop it on your desktop. To install left click.

First... after the download and installation of Format
Factory... you can open the program and
left click on the toolbar, the "Option" button and
"Select an output folder to" / apply / OK.
(this is where you find your files after they)
are converted)

Drag and drop your video clips on the main screen...

Select "all to WMV" / OK...

Click on... Beginning... in the toolbar...

That should do it...

Good luck...

  • Reading DVD on WMP11 Get Sound, but NO VIDEO

I tried to play a DVD from a television series onWMP 11. I have Windows Vista Edition ed. basic family. I got sound but no video. After some research, I thought I had to install a DVD decoder, so I bought one of Roxio (CinePlay, in my view, is the name of decoder or something like that.)  Now I get (ironically) sound, but no video. Cannot understand this.
BTW, I also have RealPlayer installed. Before that I installed Roxio DVD decoder, I got a message saying that I had to install a DVD decoder. Now that I've installed it, RealPlayer works very well.
I would like to get WMP 11 also work.
Thanks for any help that can be given!

    Hi uomo_italiano,

    (a) you are able to play videos recorded without any problems? You see the video?

    (b) you get a specific error message?

I suggest you try the following steps:

Step 1: Try to reduce (or turn off) video hardware acceleration by following these steps.

    1. open display settings by clicking the Start button, clicking Control Panel, on appearance and customization, personalization, and then clicking display settings.

    2. click on advanced settings, click the Troubleshooting tab, and then click on change settings.

Note: some video card drivers do not allow allows you to change the settings.

    3. move the hardware acceleration slider to none to reduce or turn off video hardware acceleration.

Check whether the problem is resolved.

Step 2: I understand that you have installed the Roxio DVD decoder; You can download and install the DivX video codec on the internet and test.

For example, if you try to play a file that was encoded using the DivX (digital video express) video codec and you do not have this codec installed on your computer, you will probably hear the audio portion of the file, but you will not see the video.

Note: Microsoft cannot guarantee that problems resulting from the use of third-party software can be solved. Software using third party is at your own risk.

  • AVI video files play sound but no video in Windows Media Player 7

My video files avi play sound but no video in Windows Media Player 7. Video files avi are since 2002 and has played very well until I'm a new PC with Windows 7 so I know that the files are not corrupt. All my other files and videos play fine in Media Player. Based on the other forums I found it seems that it is not uncommon that a problem with Win7.

Also, is it possible to convert audio and video files in different formats with Media Player? Or do I need any other software to do this?

It is not that there is a problem in Windows 7, it is more likely that you don't have just the installed CODEC the video file is saved with.  You will need to find a source, download and install any CODEC no MS yourself. You can use GSpot to identify CODECs used in AVI files. An alternative to downloading of many individual CODECs is to install FFDSHOW instead. Some media players like VLC and Media Player Classic also have internal CODECS and support for a wide variety of video and audio file types.

  • Sound, but no video when the stream of a file quicktime by shock wave

When I listen to a quicktime movie into the html file hosted on localhost using the Apache Server, I hear, but no video. I saved the film quicktime as part of my casting, linked to http://localhost/~username/mymovie.mov

When I play the movie quicktime itself in my browser, or in a projector or just on a Director, the video and audio play simultaneously. But in the browser after you convert the film to dir to html and dcr file and by hosting files dcr and html on the server, when I open the html file in my browser, only the sound pieces. Anyone have similar problems? Any help would be appreciated!

    Hi guys,.

Here are a few quick notes on how to handle shockwave videos with my projects.

I tend to find that video in .swf format work better under all browsers using shockwave

    easiest way:

You can make one lump in importing a .swf video directly in your casting. (without link)

the problem with this is that it tends to create a large dcr file for your users to download

    "preloadnetthing" way:

Download your videos on a site url - something like www.mywebsite.com/the_programs_title/dsmedia/videos/video1.swf

(I never use capital letters or spaces)

    file - import - internet-

This will add the file to the list add

media value: link to the external file (do not use block import)

    Now press import

When this Director will try to connect to your url - and downloadable the linked file test

If it works you should now see a new Member related video casting added to your casting

If it fails (which mine tend to make half the time?) - try it once again until it works.

Here I normally find property of the related videos Inspector - and change its settings - I disables loop - and of course be sure preload is not defined.

Now comes the part of code

To get your videos to play properly, you will need to preload them in memory, before playing them.

(although it is possible to videos - I have never been able to get it works well - there is a whole bunch of code lingo to treat streaming videos)

a script for a video preload swf frame *.

    on beginSprite

    floatPrecision = 2

    tellStreamStatus (TRUE)

    global gVideosName

the value TEMP "http://www.mywebsite.com/my_program/dswmedia/videos/" & gVideosName & ".swf".

    global mynetID

    Set mynetID = preloadNetThing (TEMP)

Set the text of the cast of "preload_results" to "0%".

    end beginSprite

    on exitFrame

    floatPrecision = 2

    global mynetID

    pStatList = getStreamStatus (mynetID)

    If (pStatList.bytesSoFar > 0) then

    pPercentDone = (pStatList.bytesSoFar * 100) / pStatList.bytesTotal

If pPercentDone > 99 then go THEN

    end if

Set the cast text 'preload_results' ((la chaîne de pPercentDone) & '%"))

    go to loop

    end exitFrame

a script in frame for playback of a swf video *.

    on beginSprite

-I create a blank "placeholder" cast member (a black filled rectangle) the same size as my video, my staging - in sprite 1

Set the visible of sprite 1

the puppet of sprite 1 set to TRUE

Global gVideosName - REM the name of my bound member video casting

the value of the castNum of the sprite 1 cast gVideoName

    updateStage

    Sprite (1). Play()

    updateStage

    end beginSprite

    on mouseDown

Sprite (1). Stop () - This stops playback of SWF movie!

    end mouseDown

    on keyDown

Sprite (1). Stop () - This stops playback of SWF movie!

    end keyDown

    on exitFrame

If .playing sprite (1) = false then

Set to false to the puppet of the sprite 1

go to "somewhere" - REM somewhere, you want to go after finishing the video.

    abandon.

    end if

    go to loop

    end exitFrame

  • The movies that I imported on computer have sound but a black screen.

I always imported videos with windows. I always open with windows media player. Movies that I took yesterday and imported the name of file, the thumbnail image but, when I open the file to watch the sound is perfect, and there is no picture. Just a black screen. I watched the YouTube videos on my JVC Enviro HHD with all the problems. I've never had a problem before. All the former imports the TYPE OF FILE MOVIE CLIP (.) Import active MOD) as does. What could be the problem?

    Suggestions:

1 lazy way... right click on the file is mod > click Rename > change is a mod in .mpg or .wmv

    2. good way. Google for a file is mod converter. Most of them I found on the web is NOT free.

  • Sound but no video

In Internet Explorer, Windows 7, 64-bit, the site Youtube.com plays videos fine but Break.com has only sound, no picture.  This same computer plays videos break in Chrome.  In addition, Flash Player Manager does not display the image of the settings manager in Internet Explorer, but not in Chrome.  It's all the more recent version, re-downloaded many times.

Usually, YouTube offers HTML5 video to Internet Explorer on Windows 8.  This video do not use hardware acceleration, or do not use the same GPU features as we are.  If disabling hardware acceleration resolves the problem, you have isolated the problem to the GPU drivers.  Leaving off comes with a significant success in the life of performance and battery life, if you really want that it's a temporary solution.

You might want to run Windows Update to ensure that you have the latest and best, then check with the OEM technical support for your laptop site and see if they have updated drivers GPU.  If not, you can set a system restore point and just install the drivers ATI, Nvidia, etc..  If none of those working, I it would refer to your OEM laptop so that it is on their radar screen regarding the things that need fixing.

    Thank you!

  • Export the problem, Audio, but no video!

    Hello

I have a lot of trouble to export my last video on first cs6.

Im a long time user of FCPX and traded just at adobe, so I'm a bit useless with this new program.

    My sequence setting are:

    Editing mode: Custom

Time Base: 59,94 frames per second

    Image size: 1920-1080

    Video highlights:

    file format: AVI microsoft

    Codec GoPro CineFi = orm codec (x 64) v9.1.1

The film is mainly images of GoPro Hero 4 Silver.

I tried so many different export options.

Export to 'fit the setting of the sequence' produced a video that has audio, but no picture.

Export to the h.264 format does not allow me to increase the rate of 30 frames per second to the original and give the error message "Invalid framesize/framerate for this level. Please reduce the bounds parameter video or frame rate, or increase the profile and level and try again "."

Export to quicktime is the only one so far who has produced, photo and audio, but the quality is far below what it should be... and yes I have made maximum use of verified quality.

Any help would be thank you very much!

Do not use match sequence settings which means that it uses the codec to preview.

    This is the cineform codec.

Don't think that you can export to cineform with cs6, unless you have installed the codec.

What is the final destination of your movie going to be?

If its Youtube, choose a preset that lies under h., 264 format in the export settings.

[QUOTE] ' Invalid framesize/framerate for this level. Please reduce the bounds parameter video or frame rate, or increase the profile and level and try again "." [QUOTE]

Do what is said to increase the profile (5.1/5.2) and higher (high) level of framerate.

  • Sound with no video in Windows Media Player or any other software I've tried.

I have no video when I play all the files on my computer no matter what program I use. I updated my driver for video card, re-installed the software. Verified that both we are up-to-date. The files are files simple .wmv and .mpg. They have worked in the past but now when I pull it up its just audio. The box of the video Viewer will be resized according to the picture, but there is no picture. I am a computer technician, and which left me speechless. Can someone help me or point me in the right direction please!

Looks like you have corrupted codecs on your computer. You may need to reinstall or re-register the codecs so Windows to recognize them again. Here is a longer version of this explanation on what to do if you have the sound but no video in Windows Media Player.
