• First film edited with Premiere - proxy, audio questions and multi-cames

  I have several questions that I have not found in the videos and forums, at least not for my situation. I'm finishing the revision of sequences now adding comments in prelude and will begin soon to change it. Please excuse the long post.

  Background:

  I'm working on my first film, a documentary. Most of my work is 10-11 interviews, about an hour each. The majority is 4K Panasonic GH4, but some of the images is an Olympus MDGS EM5 II 1080.

  I recorded the sound using a LAV and a shotgun microphone, each goes in its own channel in a Tascam DR - 70 d, an external audio recorder, with a line going into the camera for reference. Audio and video files (at least one, since GH4 brings several) will have a slate tone to the head, created by the audio recorder. The recorder has captured the audio 24-bit, 16-bit audio captured camera. The recorder fooled also two other channels to lower 12db audio in the case of audio peaks.

  I will be changing on Mac laptop - 2013 MacBook Pro, OS 10.11.5, 2.9 Ghz Intel Core i7 memory of 16GB 1600 MHz DDR3, NVIDIA GeForce GT 650 M 1024 MB graphics card. I think I need to create my images 4 K proxies.

  All images is storage on my external drive of G. The interviews are separated and are located in the folders of each interviewee.

  The final project will be 1080, not 4K.

  Questions:

  Naming - being a hybrid, the GH4 breaks an interview of an hour in several separate files. Should I change the names of all files, or keep them in folders named in Premiere Pro? If I should change them, should I do it before swallowing?

  First synchronize audio and video, but since I have an audio file and several video files, I synchronize each video file individually or assemble them somehow, then synchronize? If each of these excerpts from the interview is sewn together, wouldn't that make editing more easy?

  When you create proxy for video files, also create proxy for audio files separate? Once synchronized, will be presented first the Hi output version of the resolution of the video and audio?

  Multicamera - in one case, I have an interview with two 1080 cameras. But for the rest, I've shot with a camera in 4K, so I intend to use a section cropped interview (zoom) when an important statement is mentioned, simulating a two cameras set up. Given that I have to create a sequence of multi camera after I ingest proxy files, first will be a problem activating/deactivating files proxy for the salvation of the res files?

  B - roll is added later, once the interviews are published about. It will be a few (not 4K) images and photos. Make the proxies of these too or first care to have all files proxy or a mixture?

  Finally, I have never edited a video which has been more than 10 minutes. This film could be of 40 minutes or up to 90. Everything I need to know to make the editing more smooth? I am a beginner!

  1. allow only file names.  Make your organization with records (hard drive) and ferries (project).

  3. the audio files are small and will not need of proxies.  Export will always use the original media.

  4. possibly.  My first attempt was a disaster that froze the machine so badly, I had to do a hard reset.  However, you need not go back to the original of the sequence to make your cut-ins.  Proxy media will do fine work.  Simply place a copy of the plans at the 50% level in V1 and a second copy on the scale of 100% in V2 when creating the source multicam sequence...  Will allow you to see the full versions and then cropped the multicam editing.

  5. the photos no need of proxies.  If the B-roll change, make proxies for those.  PP not care a spirit to keep all the images the same.

• How can I turn off automatic OCR during editing of scanned documents?

  When I use the Edit function, normally I just rearrange a few images in a scanned pdf document.  Unfortunately, clicking on the "Edit" button automatically performs OCR, which sometimes causes problems.  For example, when I'm working with is a scan of a document written by hand, the causes of OCR errors in the police, so in this case I don't want rock.

  We have already OCR a document to the will in several menus, for example to improve scans or optimize PDF, so I do not understand the need for automatic OCR forced when you change the file.  Developers must understand that OCR is not something, we always need or want.

  In the settings menu to change of scanned Document, there is an option to disable "make all editable pages', in which case only the current page is OCR' ed.  There is, however, no option to completely disable OCR, which makes no sense.

  

  Is it possible to turn off OCR during the use of change?

• Frame anchored with automatic shrink film

  Hello

  I have a problem that I need help.

  I am importing a range of graphics in my document and in my read/write rules, I have all the required properties for the images.  When the pictures are imported, they appear properly (size, etc.) but the default margin of the image is still there.  Is it possible that you can automatically apply the shrink film to the anchored frame (or frame anchored to have a default margin of 0?).

  Some of the images we have are only 5 mm x 5 mm and there may be several of them on a single page.  Therefore, selecting each image and press Esc Maes to shrink wrap will become a very time consuming process.

  Any suggestions that can be provided would be greatly appreciated.

• Base Exchange Panel in develop when editing photos

  I run El Capitan V 10.11.1 on a 27 inch Mac. Lightroom V 6.0, Camera Raw V 9.0, Snapheal V1.5. I've updated Snapheal to Creative Kit 2016. Then Yosemite OS X updated at El Capitan and update of lightroom V6.0 for V 6.2. These 3 updates do not work together. I therefore went to clean my Mac and deleted Lightroom V6.2 and created Kit 2016. Then downloaded Lightroom V6.0 and created Kit 2016. And they worked OK together. When editing photos to develop on Lightroom in Basic. The base Panel began to change back I have set the sliders. Here's the photo 2 of 2 panels. Whats up with that? Any help is appreciated.   The pictures that were originally published in Version 2010 process will display the version on the right. Photos that were initially published in the process Version 2012, or upgraded to PV 2012, or are totally new, will show the version on the left.

  I'm making progress using instant film.  I selected the retro theme and noticed that my clips are black and white.  Is it possible to turn off this effect in the setting of instant film?  I did also understand how to lower the volume on the background music.  It seems a little overwhelming, even if I am us.ing the smartmix option.  It is not quite as strong in another theme.  Maybe less 'optimistic' music might make a difference. ??  Thanks for the help

  Bill, I don't know how it works in PE4. I had 1, 2, and 3, ignored 4 and 8 and I am very happy with version 7. Here's a page, maybe that will help.

  

  As for the black and white effect, I think that the OP wanted to remove the effect. You who would accomplish by highlighting the effect in the properties panel, then click on the trash icon. This is what it looks like after that film instand is broken apart.

• Performance Options dialog box opens automatically at startup

  Since I've upgraded to Windows 7, the performance Options dialog box opens every time that I reboot.  He seems to be indicating that I have no file exchange of value.  I edited this dialog box in every way that I can think - choose to automatically manage paging file size, defining a custom format, etc. and changes I made seem to be accepted.  However, the next time that I reboot, it becomes the performance Options dialog box.  Help!

  This could be a problem if advanced security file [AFS] also known as the Andrew File System option is enabled on the computer, disabling this option help you solve the problem.

  Follow the steps to disable the option below:
  1. click on Start.
  2 type CMD.exe in the search to start.
  3. right click the command prompt.
  4. click on run as administrator.
  5. type the following command: sc config afs start = disabled [Note that there is no space after the start, but there is a after =].

  Now, restart the computer and check if the paging files mentioned above always appears at startup or not.

  Why not just build on the capabilities of the lower level OnNewStep?

  Create your new kind of step (a copy of your existing Label step).  Note that there already like his step a step Edit - it's what is called when you start the dialog box change the step label.

  Now, create a new Custom step and name it (this is mandatory) OnNewStep.  Specify the Module and imitate the lower level change exactly.

  Now, whenever you create a new instance of the step of this type, the lower level OnNewStep will be called.  And you do not have to change the CommonSubsteps.dll.

  When I try to create an automatic video, film imports, but to the point at which the film is created, the program crashes, Windows looking for a solution, the program opens again and I get a message that a problem that caused Windows to stop working.   Well, I was very happy when the program doesn't stop after following your advice and unchecking above named filter. But then, after it scans the file (which is a progress!), he says he cannot continue because one or more of the files contains a codec that is not supported by AutoMovie. I don't even know what a codec IS. I know who was Kojak, and I know what is Kotex, but what the heck is a codec and how do I get one?

  When you save a file of film edited with windows live movie maker record in wmv format that plays very well. • Kodak RFS 3600 Film Scanner install on windows 7

  Hello I am trying to install a slide scanner (2000) older.  The Kodak 3600 Film Scanner is discontinued, but the Kodak Professional services Web site, still has downloads for XP drivers.  I tried following this process, but it is not.  Would download installation/download XP Mode for Windows 7 help to solve my problem.

  If the device is supported on SCSI, the SCSI interface is not virtualized and XP mode does not support this.

  How the device connects to the computer?  Are you running 32-bit or 64-bit Windows 7?

  This is my original post to the Group about what I discovered THAT SCSI regarding the basis devices and WIN 7 (x 86 and X 64); I had discovered already at this point that although these devices with appropriate SCSI cards and drivers, layer ASPI and device drivers and software would work without problems under Windows XP x 86, they wouldn not via virtual XP mode 32-bit Win 7 even if the devices were attached to and had installed in the host system WIN 7 drivers.  Regarding the virtual XP in WINDOWS 7 mode, it would be nice if we could install Win XP 32-bit SCSI drivers, the layer ASPI, the peripehral software and drivers on 32-bit XP virtual machine and have a material link to the device through its connection to the motherboard and BIOS in Windows 7 to allow the seemless uses the bit 32 SCSI device that works on an XP operating system to address real so as to allow to via copy and paste transfer operations out of the device to programs under the Win 7 OS.  This is particularly useful with regard to the flat scanners and film-editing many of the old yet functional models of SCSI-based devices, and still in use by users to capture and digitize documents and old photographs or films for the purpose of editing and adding image programs that are used under Win 7 - especially Win 7 X 64 so that the user can make use more 3 GB of RAM when processing large files.  Force users to keep and maintain a separate dedicated machince XP OS cannot be supported in order to be able to use devices that are based SCSI and is no longer be produced or marketed by USB or Firewire version...

• How do I make in SOUL while editing in Premiere Pro?

  I have change the long form shows and often work on several at the same time. So, I went out sequence while he was working on another, so I can deliver more quickly. However, I occasionally check on the window to my SOUL to see that rendering is suspended. Is this a bug with Adobe CC or something else?

  This is normal operation.  SOUL stops when system resources are needed by PP.  The only way to avoid this is to not use the PP when exporting.

• I can't click on a layer for editing mask. CS6 OS10.10

  I worked on a file, and all of a sudden I can't click on a layer mask to be able to modify this mask. I'm still able to do the following:

  • Create a new adjustment layer. When I do cela a new mask is trained for this layer and automatically selected for editing. I can modify this mask. As soon as I click out of it that I can't come back.
  • I am able to shift + click and command-click on the layer masks and get these options/selections.
  • I can't drag a mask existing to a new adjustment layer.
  • Hide/show the mask collection
  • Almost everything, but click ON the mask and selected for editing.

  I tried the following:

  • Close and reopen the file.
  • Restart photoshop.
  • Restarting my computer.
  • Delete/recreate the preference files.

  Any ideas out there?

  I discovered my problem trying to paint on everything I was selected on. He forecast the mask overlay. I thought about it and realized that I must have hit the key 'Q' and put me in quick mask mode.
