  Hello

  I need to provide a ProRes format file to a place that shows my work. I don't have a Mac, but they offered us convert a file that I can export to FCP.

  I wonder what will be the best exports almost without loss for this? I considered Cineform but it's a video of m 87 and I imagine that the file size will be huge.

  Any suggestions on the best almost lossless formats whose size is low which should work with FCP would be very appreciated.

• How can I add a transition without eating in the length of the clip.

  I have a newer iMac with iMovie 10.1.2 and OS 10.11.6.  I would like to add transitions, but they eat in the length of each side of the transition of 2.0 seconds.  Is it possible to add transitions without eating in the length of the clip.  In old iMac with the internal CD, before Apple "upgraded" iMovie, you could add transitions without affecting the duration of the clip.  When a large part of my project, composed of clips 6-8 seconds of time, waive the duration of the clip to make a presentation more chic does not seem an option.

With clips you just save a second at each end, and you can create a second 1 transition or the precision Editor to set the duration of the transition.   When you use service pack 2 cd can not load product catalogues, it is fatal error, the Setup logs files should contain more information.

  Why not integrate Service Pack 2 and Service Pack 3 on her XP CD by following the instructions here (using another PC):

  Copy all data on an external hard drive, do a clean install using the XP CD updated (preferably on the BIOs)

  Deskjet 6980 driver is compatible with the Officejet 8500 and provides a checkbox 'Mirror Image '.  You can do the following: click on start, devices and printers, click with the right button on the Officejet 8500 and select properties from the Printer Ports.  Note the port settings.   Now, the devices and printers folder click on add a printer, a local printer, select the same port as the 8500 noted previously.  Now, click on Windows Update in the lower right.  It will take several minutes for the update to finish unless there is an error *.  Once the full update Select manufacturer HP (Hewlett-Packard no) and the Deskjet 6980.  Once the printer has been installed, you can click with the right button on the Deskjet 6980, properties of the printer, and then rename the "HP Deskjet 6980 series" to something else, maybe "Officejet 8500 Mirror Image", OK.  Right-click on 'Officejet 8500 Mirror Image' printer and select Printing Options, finish, check the 'Mirror Image' checkbox, apply and in the print task Quick Sets type a new name as mirror and then save.

  After do you have two printers, one the 8500 standard driver that you can use for normal printing and the 'Mirror Image' version, which you can select when you print a T-Shirt transfer documents.

  * If an error 'Windows cannot find a list of the features of update' you can fix that as shown in this post.  I tried this fix and can confirm that it works.

  I would like to know how can I safely ask the Exchange Server service pack or cumulative update for the server role mailbox (no DAG) without loss of e-mail during the downtime and roll back the snapshot?

  If I can do the following:

  1. stop all Exchange Server services.

  2. unplug the vNIC on the mailbox server

  3 take a snapshot of the virtual machine

  4. apply the service Pack of Exchange Server / Cumulative Update or Windows Update

  5 reset

  6 reconnect the vNIC, if the server online with no problem, commit / remove the snapshot, if not, then disconnect the vNIC followed to restore.

  would be - this sense being or support for Vmware and Microsoft http://www.vmware.com/files/pdf/exchange-2010-on-vmware-support-and-licensing-guide.pdf ?

  I'll start by saying that I would not do.  Microsoft is explicit that snapshots are not supported with Exchange when virtualized.  See below (from Exchange 2013 Virtualization: help Exchange 2013):

  Some hypervisors include features to take snapshots of virtual machines. Virtual machine snapshots capture the State of a virtual machine while it is running. This feature allows you to take several snapshots of a virtual machine and then return the virtual machine to a previous state by applying a snapshot to the virtual machine. However, virtual machine snapshots aren't application aware, and using them can have unintended and unexpected consequences for a server application that manages the data of the State, such as Exchange. Accordingly, making snapshots of the virtual machine to a virtual guest computer Exchange only is not supported.

  Even if we ignore the statement of support from shadow copies that isn't always a good idea.  Here are some things to consider.

  (1) cumulative updates for the Exchange to modify the Active Directory schema.  Roll back the snapshot on the mailbox server is not undo changes made to RFA, which could cause functional supported questions.  See this link to give you an idea of how there is pattern AD updates in each CU Exchange and service pack: the Active Directory in Exchange 2013 schema changes: Exchange 2013 help

  (2) it is possible to send to come during the time you test the update, and if you need to restore you would need a plan to retrieve this e-mail.  Third party services may work, or you can prevent the email to come in your environment completely during this period, but these aren't the ideal solutions.

  A much better solution would be to create a lab environment that is isolated from the production.  You can either take clones of your Exchange and AD VMs and put them in a closed network environment, or create a laboratory and import the structure of your ad if it matches the production.  I think it is a much better way to test than to try to rely on stereotypes in production.

• The conversion without loss of any video quality in HD 1080i

  I read in another post of a guy named Drew having bluescreens the course DVD burning in the first Elements 8.  I have a video of performance of long hours using a master audio track and three video tracks that were shot in MP4 format on the HD Samsung pocket computers.

  I am also a crashing blue screen when creating DVD and even the same accident on two different workstations.

  I plan to jump on board the idea of exporting the project as a video file, then using something like Nero 9 or Windows DVD Maker actually burn the DVD.

  But my main concern is not losing any HD quality in any of the exporters or burn.  What is the best process to export this video project and then get on a DVD (with menu) and not to lose any quality video or audio.

  If I left out any additional information you need, please let me know and thank you in advance.

  You can not burn a readable DVD without loss of quality. DVD is the best of 720 x 576 (PAL) or 720 x 480 (NTSC). To maintain the quality that you burn on the BluRay.

• Collage of clips between existing clips without splitting

  I often cut or copy clips on the timeline and want to then paste them inbetween 2 clips to a different place on the timeline. What is the best way to do this so the 2nd clip is moved behind that I paste into. At present, it seems to post where is the red marker, and if it's not exactly clips inbetween then it automatically split a clip into two (which I don't want). Thanks for any help :)

  The 'red' marker is the CTI (current time marker). The best way to get where you want (right at Lacrosse junction between two Clips) is to use the PageUp and PageDn keys. This moves ICT, forward or backward, Clip by Clip-junction. Then, Shift + Ctrl + v (paste) should do what you want. If you want to insert the Clip copied ON the next Clip on the Timeline, not to use the SHIFT key modifier, but that does not sound like your intention.

  I would like to bring some 60 d sequences in first, cut it and export it. Is there a way I can do without the first edit anyway? I tried different settings for the output, but it have so far failed. The images of the 60 d are quicktime/H264.

  Well Yes, in this case, Streamclip will do precisely what you want. There even a batch window, you can save all your changes to the batch and process them at once - pretty smooth.

  A few tips:

  1. Open the batch list before processing your first file; in this way, she and all of the following clips are added to the batch instead of be processed automatically.
  2. When you browse the image you want your entry or exit point, use the command go to key frame (Ctrl / Cmd + K) before scoring the music. This will cause MPEG Streamclip cut at an I-frame, so that you get a nice, clean, not re-encoded clip.
  3. There is no need to split the clip using the Trim controls; just a mark in and out and send it to the batch list. It will respect the marks.
  4. Use the option Save as or save track, NOT the export options. Backup options are an extraction without loss; export options leads necessarily to a recompression.

  Second generation, but the codec used for these clips is located quite rightly virtually without loss.

• Prom MOM needs picture of ocean of night blew 2 ft without loss of resolution.

  I need to buy a picture I can jump to a large format.  Will be a jpeg photo that is 3600 x 2250 px blow-up in a diameter of 2 ft without loss of resolution.  Only vectors that I find some object moon/stars on the ocean of the night are more clip art to research.  It is an accessory for a prom and other Prom moms are vicious!

  Take the dimension of the image in pixels and divide by 300 which will give you your measurement in inches.

  300 pixels = 1 inch
