  I have my Xbox connected to my Win 7 machine extender.

  Did you install updated / departure of software or make any other changes before that?

  What security software do you use? (Antivirus, firewall, etc.).
  Where's the media? Is it on a local, external, or network location?

  If the files are on an external drive, or a network location, try to copy one of the files to the appropriate windows library (music or video) and check if you can play the file on the Extender.

  Also, try to delete the folder location of the library Windows and one location in Media Center. After having been removed, close Media Center and re-add-the then test once more.

  We had ESXi 3.5 installed on 1 HDD and data store was on a different HARD disk.

  Now the HDD with ESXi host got crashed and I had to replace it with another HARD drive and make new ESXi installation on the new HARD drive.

  Now after the new ESXi install on new HARD drive, it does not detect the data store on the HARD drive second.  It is, however, detect the LUN of the second HARD disk.

  Now, how can I do detect the data store on the second HARD drive?  Or y at - it anyway I can add the data store on the second HARD drive to the new host ESXi?

  You will need to activate lun resignaturing and snapshot LUN, mount and rename the store of data back to its original name, and then disable them.

• TIF without loss of PDF conversion

  I want to convert many files compressed TIF JPEG 24-bit color (several pages) (from scanner) to PDF, lossless, so "to obtain the features of Acrobat on the TIF.

  No, PDF cannot be a TIFF container. PDF can contain compressed JPEG data (which is be almost exactly the same as JPEG files), but it's the only image format that can be used directly.

  It is theoretically possible to convert encoded JPEG TIFF to PDF coded JPEG lossless one second (since of course create JPEG TIFF format has been frozen in the first place), while preserving the separate JPEG of the bands in the TIFF. It is doubtful that if you find the support to do this, given that encoded JPEG TIFF is a bit a minority format in the first place and because TIFF is likely to store the image in the rays which must become individually quite distinct images in PDF format. More likely, each conversion tool you might find will extract and unzip then recompress according to options or default values. Given that you may concentrate on the options of recompression.

  I need to provide a ProRes format file to a place that shows my work. I don't have a Mac, but they offered us convert a file that I can export to FCP.

  I wonder what will be the best exports almost without loss for this? I considered Cineform but it's a video of m 87 and I imagine that the file size will be huge.

  Any suggestions on the best almost lossless formats whose size is low which should work with FCP would be very appreciated.

• Poor video quality using windows 7 "play to" with DLNA Sony Bravia KDL-40EX700

  There is nothing wrong with the drivers of your graphics card. The TV is one that makes the video file not the graphics card on your PC. The reason you have a bad video quality is the limited support of the multimedia formats that is supported by your TV. Generally, Sony's Bravia TVs have a limited set of media formats supported and for this reason, most of the time that the Play and Win7 will send transcoded versions of the video on television. Usually, the way Play works is the following:

  -Play questions the TV for supported media formats

  -If the TV supports the type of media you're trying to make, the Play sends native data flow to the TV. The quality will be provided by your video file.

  -If the TV does not support the native format, the Win7 also offers versions of the same video file transcoded: MPEG-2 and WMV for versions.

  -Play preffers to make reading possible at any time so he will choose a transcoded version if the native format is not supported. DLNA mandates support for MPEG NTSC or PAL MPEG formats, so this will be the common denominator.

  I tested several Sony's Bravia televisions in the last years of the development of Play, and several times reading transcoded. I guess that this is the case for you as well. Unfortunately, nothing you can do, unless Sony decides to support your media file nativelly. To make things worse, the qulity of the transcoded version depends very much on the quality of native files (win7 transcode in a lower resolution than the native.) It will be not high-end).   I have a satellite P100 - 10 p (PSPAGE) with 7900 GS and when I install the new drivers from laptopvideo2go.com video quality (163.76) of all films is bad.

  The image is rasterized with each media player (VLC, MPC...) and screen sometimes "POPs" for a second.

  Everything goes very well with 84,00 Toshiba drivers but I can not play games like BIoshock and Stranglehold with this driver.

  It's a very bad situation. Toshiba with each laptop must product offering functional and because of who offer tested drivers. These drivers are suitable for each laptop model and also have the function of protection. This means that the graphics card will not forced to run at the highest level.

  As you can see with the original driver you have problems, play games. For me this is nothing unusual for laptops. Problem is that all of the updated drivers the only are not supported and tested by the manufacturer of the laptop. I recommend you to use tested driver Toshiba. In the end maybe you must compromise between game and watch movies.

  By the way: original DVD movies are also so bad while you use pre-installed WinDVD?

• Conversion .swf video without loss of frames

  This question was asked and responded poorly to a few times already. Specifically, on an Apple computer, it seems there is no way to get a video file (.mov, .mpg or other) off Flash Pro without severe loss of quality or the complete destruction of cadence.

  My .swf files are fantastic, just as they are supposed to. The room at the right pace and everything works as I set them up. When I go to export it as .mov or .mpg, the pace accelerates and slows down according to the objects on the screen. I played with the settings constantly, hitting the quality down to almost the smallest settings (something I'd not rather after having worked very hard on my part) as well as setting the frame rate options in all the senses to see if something has changed. Nothing. I've been reading a forum where Flash creators have the same problems and are tearing their hair because their work is essentially useless being stuck in Flash.

  I know that there are programs that convert files .swf video very well, some of them cost about $100. Why buy Flash in the first place, if you need to buy a new one, almost as price software just to get your Flash content? I also know that there are hundreds of free video converters out there for Apple, none of them seem to be able to manage the .swf format, but can do pretty much everything else. In addition, I know that for windows, there is the .swf Iwisoft free video converter that works very well, but does not support Apple created the .swf files when carried through on a PC. How is it that this software is free and easy on a Windows machine, but not a Mac?

  I'd like if someone from Adobe could answer some of these questions because I've been everywhere on the web looking for an answer to which nobody seems to have the right one. Most people can suggest a good video converter that works for them, but they have not tried on a .swf file and when the original user tries, it doesn't work and the thread died there.   @Dr. Silky - I saw the converter about newspapers at the time the conversion must have tried.  As you may have guessed Flabaco was designed for the shorter length animations, but it can handle animations longer - it takes more time and server resources.

  You can not avoid re-encoding. His first mpeg will not give you made smart on mpeg.

  I have a bunch of AVI files containing sequences captured DV (DV Microsoft, since this is what is captured through first).

  These must now be converted to Quicktime DV to work with another software package.

  When I export as Quicktime and select DV25 as codec the file size remains almost the same (no wonder) because it is the same rate as the source, but what exactly happens when you export?

  Is video transcoded from Microsoft DV to Quicktime DV (which means that there will be a slight loss of quality), or the DV raw images simply extracted AVI container and put in a container MOV instead (which means only the copy of data with no transcoding and without loss of quality)?

  I ended up using FFmpeg to convert like that has an option to copy a video from one file to another without any transcoding.
