TRY TO UPGRADE TO WINDOWS 7 BUT C: DRIVE FULL DESPITE THE REMOVAL OF ALL UNNECESSARY PROGRAMS
I'm trying to upgrade to windows 7 Vista but not like the 40 GB c: partition has only 3 GB free. Removed all unnecessary programs, etc. If you only really have Vista on C: drive but still showing 37GB used. Any ideas how I can release another 6 GB of free space.
Tahnks a lotI hate to say it, but it would be a great time for a bigger hard drive. While 40 GB meets at least for installation you really need more for in-place-upgrading a system using 37 GB. Setup needs space for temporary files, its own temporary relocation, etc.

Disorders after trying to upgrade to windows 10
So my daughter has tried to upgrade to windows on its x 51 alienware r2 10. Subsequently, the computer would not initialize and would have 6 beeps. I tried another monitor, I get the splash screen for alienware on the post, and then the screen goes black and it will not start on toward the top in windows. I created a usb 10 recovery / windows startup, but all attempts to use it to recover or repair failed.
you will have to plug a hdmi for your gpu intell cable, go to Device Manager and disable the disconecet of gpu.then integrated hdmi and plug back in your amd or nvidia gpu and activate your amd or nvidia gpu and then install the driver from nvidia to experience if you do not have this program google it.then install update driver

Special keyboard keys Bootcamp-lost after upgrade to Windows 10
I have an iMac of 2014 that was running Windows 7 with Bootcamp.
I have upgraded to Windows 10 (using the upgrade option if windows) and everything was fine.
After a power cut I can no longer start Windows 10 so I repaired the installation. W10 is working now, BUT the special keys on the apple keyboard (brightness, volume, etc.) no longer work.
I tried to re - download the software and drivers support for Win10 through Bootcamp Assistant, but he asks me if I want to delete the installation of Windows 7 (SEVEN Yes).
Any ideas would be welcome.
Thank you
Download the driver appropriate for your model package specific to install Windows 7 and previous versions on your Mac with Boot Camp - Apple support on a USB2 flash drive and run setup.exe from the Bootcamp folder when it is started in Windows.

I want to upgrade a Compaq Presario 17XL360 Windows ME to Windows XP Professional, but no other solution I tried other forums worked to resolve the error message about missing file i386\WIN9XUPG\W95UPG. DLL. I don't have Roxio Easy CD Creator installed (a possible cause) and I tried end task on all except Windows Explorer and Systray (another recommended solution). I read that can be installed with 64 MB of RAM, I have, so I want to try to solve this problem without having to install more RAM, as I am trying to upgrade this computer at a lower cost to make a donation to a member of the family abroad.
Thanks for your suggestion! You will see above, I tried but I didn't have the Roxio Easy CD Creator software in my computer. However, I found the solution. My mistake was trying to install Windows XP Professional as an upgrade, which did not.
So I finally found a suggestion online that does not work.
(1) I rebooted and selected "Press any key to boot from the CD" (something like that!) and installed Windows XP Pro as a new program.
(2) I followed the instructions in the readme file, and when I got to the question of the partitions, I deleted the two existing partitions (one was where the old Windows ME operating system, and the other was a program 'system'.
(3) after the removal of two partitions, I created a new one, following the instructions written in the installer and install Windows XP without problem.
(4) Note: when trying to install XP as an upgrade and get the error above concerning the missing file and the cancellation, the computer still gave me the option to click "install". I tried a few times and each time, he told me that my product key is not valid. However, when I installed it as a new program, all installed easily and he accepted my product key invalid. So people, don't believe the message 'invalid' immediately, you can also have a valid product key.BUT I'll have to give in and buy more RAM, because I had only 64 MB and I need 256. Evidence? My first installation of the Norton Antivirus software, and then it was slowing my computer to a crawl. I'm trying to uninstall it now, and it takes a long time. Tomorrow I'll determine exactly what to buy and install.
I hope this helps others solve this error - the support person level 2 Tech I contacted HP support earlier told me that they have the expertise to solve the problem. You can do it!

Code error 80072EFE trying to upgrade to Windows 10
Original title: Fred Dimmick
I have 2 PC and a laptop all running Windows 7. I am currently undergoing upgrade to Windows 10 pop-up windows. Whenever I'm trying to do that, I get failure, on each machine.
Error code 80072EFE appears about a third of the way through the download, data download costs are not negligible and I am really annoyed with Billy Gates heirs and successors.
My ISP is Xplornet satellite, download speed vary from time to time on sitting so if it's an insurmountable problem I would like to either find a way to make the upgrade to stop GOLD all ads to harass.
Any help is greatly appreciated.
Hi Fred, you can try the steps in Milot in the thread below?

Trackpad and keyboard does not work after upgrade to Windows 10
Trackpad and keyboard do not work after the upgrade to Windows 10 in Boot Camp on a MacBook Pro in early 2011. So, I'm unable to enter password. How to connect? Can I go back to Windows 8?
1. you can turn off your Mac and your power it back up and hold the Alt/Option key.
2. you can also run the following procedures to restore the OS default.
3. If you use a Mac 2010 to run W10, officially Apple does not support the combination. Older than 2012 Mac is not supported for the W10.
4. Please see also Boot Camp: the operating system default value .

Cannot cut its keyboard microsoft 4000 since the upgrade to Windows 7 x 64
Hi all
I just "upgraded" to the x 64 version of Win 7, and it is installed my keyboard just fine without errors or problems in itself, and even though I think that the mute button worked initially after installation, it is since then stopped working completely. I looked everywhere for information on what could be the problem without success.
I've updated all the drivers to the x 64 ones, resettled KB, cleared out temp files, etc., caches & tried everything I can think of to get it going again (I listen to talk shows MUCH so as to easily cut some content sometimes!). No matter--ALL the other buttons work fine & I did the Volume control / Mute is enabled etc.
No knowledge of such a question or ideas on how best the world try & solve (except maybe buy a new KB!)?
Thank you

Oh HAPPY DAYS! :)
It was actually the market sorted the problem out for me :) HID service I couldn't find a few items to use the registry hack, so thought I would leave a single, & try the other. Initially thought that he had not worked as it had not stated that it took a restart, but as I'm currently with a natural KB Pro & not the 4000 I thought I would restart before moving just in case it worked for one & not the other, but unfixed for both!
Thank you very much!!
While you enjoy the patience to continue to work on it with me & teach me stuff I've not met in my 20 + years of PC (e.g., CISD).
