Filter problem Smartphones blackBerry MemoPad

I recently bought a Verizon 8830 WE.  I have to many memos entered MemoPad I synchronize with Microsoft Outlook Notes.  When I view the memos in Outlook, I am able to categorize, however when I try to classify them on the 8830 by typing something on find it: line or or by selecting a category under the filter, I get * no. memos *, even if there is in fact notes of service assigned to the selected category.  Since I have many notes from service, he's difficult to scroll through each one to find what I'm looking for.  How can I get filtering to work on the device?
