  I am facing a problem in the display of the selected date of the guest in the report using the variable of presentation. I have a guest of data (calendar prompt), where the user selects the value. I take this value in the variable RBAP of presentation and report when I try to display this value using the same presentation variable, I get my date in the following format
  
  "TIMESTAMP 2010-10-22 00:00:00 '.
  
  I'm just using ' @{RBAP}' in the formula in the column.
  
  I want to show my date in the format DD/MM/YYYY. How to do this?
  
  I have used CAST (' @{RBAP} {' as DATE} and tried to change the data to dd/mm/yyyy format, but it does not work.)

• Report not loading - using the variable of presentation

  I use a variable presentation in the guest of my dashboard and going to the filter in the report. The report will give me no result even when it meets the criteria. I have to purge the cache and then it will display the results. I do 20 - 30 times a day and I don't know what the problem is. Can someone guide me what needs to be done to solve this problem.

  Yes like angelique suggests trying to create the same report in another page with variable presentation online. I do not have that we might have this problem with cahce. Even try to make protected filter (click the filter option, you can see it).

  In your story view we will call @1 and @2. assuming that these 2 columns are first from left to right.

  No need to use variables of the presentation.

  I have a problem with the date stored in the variable of presentation.
  
  I have simple guest with the calendar control (default value date is set to session or deposit to the current date variable). Selected date is stored in the variable of presentation PP_DATE.
  I have a simple report with the title to view the contents of the variable PP_DATE.
  
  And now the problem.
  
  When I navigate to the page of dashboard with this report, I will get date of variable PP_DATE in a format (there are difference when I use the variable session or repository). After that I have will push the Start button, I get a different date format of variable PP_DATE.

  There is difference between session variable and repository. When I use the reference variable I'll get "TIMESTAMP."... "the variable PP_DATE, which is the default initialization in variable Repository Manager. I tried to remove the boot by default, but I automatically added after saving changes.
  What is the default value of crimped guest of session variable, I get another date variable PP_DATE format that refers to DATE_TIME_DISPLAY_FORMAT = "yyyy-mm-dd hh:mi:ss.mss" (from NQSConfig.ini). I changed standard value DATE_TIME_DISPLAY_FORMAT ' yyyy/mm/dd hh' to "yyyy-mm-dd hh:mi:ss.mss" because I am reading data from excel, where dates are stored in the format MSSQL. But this isn't the reason for my problem. I have the same problem also with standard DATE_TIME_DISPLAY_FORMAT.
  
  The result of this strange behavior is that I get errors when I do some calculations (e.g. TimeStampDiff) to the variable PP_DATE. I get the error when I am accessing the dashboard page. Everything is ok after that I will push the Start button.

  Thanks a lot for your answer. The reason I'm stubbornly tring to break the flow of DATA is: we have a test system that have about 100 screws, they have a few connected flow, some of them will be unbundling a cluster dataflow chain to check the value in order to make the different cases.  Now I want to insert user event by changing the control and influential cases during run time.

  As I initially uses a global variable (to control cases) instead of unbundle string data flow, it works well.  But then, I found there are a lot of screws that are using the string unbundle.  One of the 'lazy' means, I tried is to change the value via the property node (because that way, I did not need to find all the places where using the unbundle string and replace them with the global variable), then I noticed a problem with "dataflow", the value in the stream of cluster in fact will not be changed by changing the value of the property node.

  I did a test with VI simple (like the picture in last post), and after reading your advice, I tell myself that I need to understand the concept of "DATAFLOW" in labview, it seems that my "lazy" way can not work in this scenario.

  I have attached the criterion VI here, have you furthur suggestions on what I can do in this case?

  HI, I am facing a problem in creating file on the time of execution using the variable.
  I have a variable file name. In the tab refresh, I wrote a query SELECT TO_CHAR (SYSDATE, 'YYYY, MM, DD') | 'TEST' FOR DOUBLE. I tested the variable and its value is correct.
  
  I've created an interface allowing to extract the data in the table and store it in the file. I assigned the variable file name in the file.
  
  Now when I run the interface... the file is created, but the header is created in different file and its name is ambiguous, g (19) and the data are placed in the other file with the name that matches the value of the variable filename...
  
  It is two ODI creates two files a single header and other data...
  
  When I run my interface in a package of the file created perfectly... but one i want to use package I want to create a file via the interface only running

  What is the name of the second file? (the file that does not have the name of the variable)

  I need to create a two prompts (from_date and to_date) on a date column so that I can filter the data by using a condition. This is how I do
  
  I created two guests (edited the formula) and passing values to two variables var_from and var_to presentation. In the report, I limit the query on assistance between motor coaches for both the presentation variable. Everything works fine but the problem is I need display var_from and var_to in my report also.
  
  I'm referencing variables like ' @{var_from}' and ' @{var_to}' but I get two columns as white. I don't really know why I get empty values for these two columns only when I am able to filter my report with success on the basis of the date values in the guests...
  
  Just to metion... in my database, I have values in m/d/yyyy format only. So I am able to use the calendar successfully

  Drafts of answers do you see? ID wait, but on the dashboard when you set filters, you should see values that crosses?
  You can extend the syntax of the variable closely and provide a default value, so when you work in the answers you can see what it looks like,

  something like @{var_from} {January 1, 2010 ""}

  Also you can reference variables in the title, the subtitle or the narrative views if you want.

  I created the variable of data type date as EXTRACT_FROM_TS and also the default value for this.
  Now I use this variable as a filter in the source table in the design of the Interface as below...
  LAST_UPDATE_DATE > = #p_extract_from_ts where LAST_UPDATE_DATE is the field in the source database with date data type not null not forced...
  I have lkm hv used SQL for Oracle...
  
  Above variable refresh and interface scenario running one after another in ODI package...
  Variable gets refresh every time successfully, but Interface fails at the step of loading data... error message as below...
  
  
  ODI-1227: SrcSet0 (load) task fails on the source of ORACLE R12DEV connection.
  Caused by: java.sql.SQLException: parameter IN or OUT to missing index: 1

  If we remove the filter LAST_UPDATE_DATE > = #p_extract_from_ts, then it works well...

  put a step DECLARATION above all. After that in my opinion, it is better to put a TO_CHAR().

  Try putting your variable in text mode and change your filter in

  TO_CHAR (LAST_UPDATE_DATE, 'YYYYMMDDHHMI') > = TO_CHAR(#PROJ.) P_EXTRACT_FROM_TS, "YYYYMMDDHHMI")

  In your operator if you click on the variable whose value you see?

  I changed and then brought back to the State that you had.

  The problem here is that you have status and Seq_id returned with APEX_ITEM. HIDDEN, but you have not selected the Show check box for those columns attribute report tab.

  Thus there is no f06 and f09 only named elements in your HTML DOM and therefore no APEX_APPLICATION. G_F06 and G_F09. If your processes

  FOR correct here is what you do

  1. mark the status and Seq_id as indicated in the report attribute tab columns
  2. change the ACE status display hidden to report column Standard. Change display of the Seq_id also report Standard column

  Note that when a column is not marked to show in the report he becomes any and you don't see the associated items in the DOM HTML.

  I create a variable in the reference to 11g odi below

  V_name = FTClient

  DataType = alphanumeric

  default value = "BANK 1"

  I create a filter on the source table to pull records only for 1 BANK and talk CELL_SRC_TBL1. CLIENT = #FTClient in the filter.

  But when I try to execute its error display interface.

  "Caused by: java.sql.SQLSyntaxErrorException: ORA-00936: lack of expression.

  You use ODI 11? If so the name of the variable must bee all uppercase and when you pass too!

  Pull the measure in the criteria and fx-> Filters-> pull date column-> Advanced button-> convert this filter in SQL
  and use something like below

  So that any point of time this measure see the last 365 data.
