Final Cut Pro and magical keyboard

I noticed that Final Cut Pro X (10.2.2) seems not to recognize the new keyboard of magic (with El Capitan 10.11.1 and 5K iMac or a MacBook Pro retina 13 "). It seems hardly to see only a QWERTY keyboard (I have a QWERTY keyboard and my language is the french) with a keypad...

They are both Bluetooth keyboards?

  • Can I capture with Final Cut Pro and edit in Premiere Pro?

Because it appears first has problems with capture - at least for me, but as I see it for others as well - and I can capture with iMovie, I take it with Final Cut Pro for capture - cross for Adobe Premiere and the suite for editing, then finalized? Or is it a problem to copy the photos/files from one program to the other (they would be clearly identified if I could just import first shots later?)

    Thank you

    Rob

    Hi Rob,

When you are capturing HDV into FCP, it creates a specific Apple HDV codec. It is a codec that is not available unless the FCC, movement or compressor is installed.

Two solutions of workaround would be to use Premiere Pro on Mac with above mentioned applications on the same system or convert a codec which can be read in first.

  • I adjusted dumped final cut pro and use first now, I still need to convert images

I use final cut for more than a decade now, but I don't like what they do with their program so now im going with what I feel is the application more professional who is Prime Minister

So, for years in FCP, we do a thing called LOG AND TRANSFER

Basically, you pointed the program to the SD card and then you could name your clips and import it into a more editable format

so now someone told me, the Prime Minister is different because you can change from the SD card format and not have to transfer and to encode in a different format.

is this true? that I don't need to encode in a different format on the Prime Minister

Another think Edub should be aware of.

    1. In FCP, you log and transfer files, which transcode to ProRes.
    2. In Premiere Pro, it is not necessary to do so.
    3. In Premiere Pro, you can import files via file import or via the media browser.
      1. For .mov files and simple image files, you can use the file > import
      2. For basis of AVCHD files and other file based devices, use file > import, use the media browser
        1. This allows all your being imported with the file metadata
        2. This includes clip spanning info, if you are shooting long tongs, so it is important.

    Thank you

  • Final Cut Pro export by coding distributed in the compressor projects

    Hi all!

It is known that "Send to compressor" thanks to Final Cut Pro does not allow you to make it through several computers. Distributed aka of encoding.

According to the description of App Store of the compressor "-speed up encoding in Final Cut Pro by choosing a group of shared export computers.»

Presumably, this indicates that you should be able to export a Final Cut Pro project and make it through distributed computing or shared computers.

Can someone please tell me - is it possible or what I have wrong? Distributed encoding by dragging a file to compressor and made it work on distributed encoding.

I use the latest version to date of Final Cut Pro and compressor.

    Thank you!

    Jimmy

    Hey Jimmy.

Despite what the description of the App Store might give to think, I refer you to this support document, which explicitly said there is no treatment distributed via FCP X.

    All the best,

  • How to transfer libraries from Final Cut Pro to another hard drive?

as you can see, my final cut pro and iMovie libraries take up a lot of space. I would like to move into my external hard drive and remove the internal hard drive. I am worrying that the editing software will not be able to know where libraries are, so can you help me? BTW, I don't like on iMovie libraries. shortly after hötting screens, I deleted them.

PCF. Open select each (sequential) library that you want to move, open the Inspector > Info and click on the button consolidate to collect amy media you used outside the library. Then quit FCP.

In the Finder, drag the libraries to your external drive. That their copy.

Double-click the library icons in their external location. Open projects to make sure that everything is OK. When you are satisfied, they are OK, libraries can trash on your system drive.

  • Why can I not get no response from the audio input jack? have you tried 4 different microphones in Final Cut Pro

I have started working on FInal Cut Pro and have discovered that my audio Jack does not recognize any microphone that I plug.  I tried 4 different microphones up to now.   The input Attenuator is turned up 50% and beyond with no effect.   The entry just says "Audio" preferences pane: "Line input" with no other available device.  Am I missing something here?   He is 4 years old and this is the first time I tried audio input.

The line-in input on a Mac requires an entry amplified, not a single entry.

The headphone includes a contact mic. See:

  • How to create or export a logo in Illustrator CS5 with an alpha channel for use in Final Cut Pro 6?

To all those who can help you:

I created a logo using Illustrator CS5 and must import it in a video sequence in Final Cut Pro 6.  The logo has a transparent background.  It seems that FCP 6 will import the files native .ai and .tiff files, but when I opened the 6 FCP, the alpha (transparent background) is no longer there; There is just the logo on a white background.  Y at - it a setting or a market I'm missing?

I need to insert images of HAVE in Final Cut Pro and Motion quite frequently.

The best way I found to get a picture of IN Final Cut is:

    1. Select / copy all objects in the doc to HAVE it.

    2. create a new file with a transparent background in Photoshop and paste.

3 merge layers and make sure that the mode is RGB.

4 save out as one. PNG or. PSD.

    5. drag the result in Final Cut (or movement).

6 resize and position the result to taste.

Attempt to export directly from... to PSD or. PNG is a wasted effort and the results are not even necessarily recognized by Final Cut.

Yes, there are Photoshop and it's a few extra steps... but it works like a charm.

In addition, when you create a new file in Photoshop, you can initially set its size that matches the aspect ratio of your video. For example, if you prepare a video HD, you could set the size of 1280 x 720 and position the elements GOT to where they are supposed to be in the frame. You can set the items HAVE precisely by cutting and pasting a picture of your video into Photoshop and positioning HAVE in place on another layer above the video layer. Delete the video layer before you save it as a. PNG or. PSD and it will appear in Final Cut exactly where it should be.

Just started using Adobe Premiere and of course I have problems with the commands and shortcuts.

  • I have problems with libraries and events in final cut pro

I use Final Cut Pro X. was used for 3 or 4 years. I just upgraded to latest version 10.2.3 and I use it on an iMac running El Capitan. The way in which the library is set up is very confusing to me and I can't seem to follow the events and projects on individual drives. It seems all the events and projects are bundled in the libraries, but I can't see them on my hard drive to move or archive them individually.

And they take almost all of my hard drive.

I am use to working with events on a separate hard drive, but now I can't seem to put the files on a separate hard drive.

Just looking for advice or direction here.

    Thank you!

  • I have a project in iMovie HD6 and want export to Final Cut Pro.  I see that it is not possible from the previous questions, but is it possible that I could maybe create a dvd of the iMovie project and then who import in Final Cut?

I have a project in iMovie HD6 and want export to Final Cut Pro.  I see that it is not possible from the previous questions, but is it possible that I could maybe create a dvd of the iMovie project and then who import in Final Cut?  I just want to make a new trailer for the project.

What you suggest is possible but it takes software and third-party quality loss.

Instead, export a QuickTIme movie. If you have a choice of codecs, choose Apple Intermediate Codec. You can save it where you want it-maybe in the movies.

Then import the movie into FCP as a clip.

    Good luck.
