  Hello captivate the world,

  I have almost finished a training module to a customer. In this module, we were asked to implement some unclassified knowledge check quizzes before the final graduate exam. Because Captivate 5 allows only 1 quiz per module, I created the verification of unclassified knowledge question slides using multiple choice answers related to their hotspots specified as a solution. The user selects a response and a timed response will allow the knowledge if they got the answer right or not and why. The problem is that users can select several answers on these slides because there is nothing to force the user to select only one answer. I saw a thread earlier to unique quiz from scratch and if someone could send me the link to find that would be great, but I was hoping there was a way to force a user to be able to choose one with the slides that I have already created.   You have several boxes click on a slide, but user can choose only one? Create a tip action for each click box, who runs what you want to achieve with this click box and at the same time disables all the other click boxes, as simple as that. Or hide all the other boxes to click, which is reflected also by deactivation. I've explained this workflow in the blog post on the model of a script.

• Former quiz published in Cap 9 HTML 5 will not play on LMS

  Store us our content and update of our Captivate 8 projects in Captivate (9.0.2.421) 9.  When I publish a quiz 9 Cap that was made in the PAC 8 to HTML5 and putting it on our LMS, it never loads.  If I publish in Flash, it does not load.  If I publish a lesson that was made to Cap 9, which took in the Cap 8 and that does not include a quiz has received, in HTML5, it works.   Even with the latest patch for CP9, I saw several threads to complain about upgrade problems, most were due to the use of a model and not well understand the importance of the themes. All the quiz slides are based on quiz master slides, and these slides masters changed the CP9.

• Captivate 7 - Quiz questions take a long time to advance to the next

  So I have completed my course. All along (each slides or so) I quiz questions that are classified but undeclared. They are simply there to prepare the student for the final exam. They have the opportunity to submit the response followed legends correct and incorrect. At the end of the course, the trainee meeting these same issues (55 in total), but now they are back to back and they are both classified and reported. Here, they have only the option to submit.

  When they take undeclared quiz questions, click on submit and it quickly goes to the next slide, because it is set up to do. BUT on issues that are noticed and reported, when they click on submit, it really takes a lot of time to move to the next slide (and a lot of time, I mean 10 more seconds). At the end of the review, when they answered the final question, and click to go on, the two final slides take more time (sometimes up to a minute) to move forward.

  I understand it is going to be some delay while the system reports the score for each slide, but this seems abnormally long. This shift occurs in preview mode, scormcloud and during a test on a LMS (Gyrus) client.

  Any idea on why this is and how to prevent it. It's really hard to ask my customers to be patient and stay there for 10 seconds every single issue. I need them to take the final exam at their own pace - fast or slow.

  I know, it is barely visible, because the line between the inactive and the Active part is black on a blue background (already invited for 6 or 5.5 to change that color...) You will need to go over it all in the middle of the timeline until you see the line double cursor appearing and you can put:

  Our course is set up with 104 total quiz questions. 52 are scattered throughout. They are there only to prepare the student for the final exam. They are classified (because I want the student to realize when they get the wrong or right answer), but they are not defined in the report (because I don't want the calculated in the final score).

  The second series of 52 questions are the same exact thing but in an order random and all bundled together. These are the final exam, if of course they are noted and reported.

  But when the student past review, the final results page tells them they took 104 questions.

  Is - this ranking/reports all 104, or just the last 52?

  Is it possible to do this then it reflects only the last 52?

  If this isn't the case, I highly recommend this as a feature for future versions. It is not uncommon to have preparatory quizzes to course to a final review and will are two separate entities.

  The number of questions will always take into account questions, know that it can be very frustrating. An offer of workaround is to avoid using this variable cpQuizInfoTotalQuestionsPerProject of system which is used on the score slide, replace it with a fixed number, if you want to show that (is that really necessary?). And please enter a feature request, I did it already several times for this problem, but... as long as only a minority of users asked for it, will never do it.

  Before the test questions are not counted, but those may not be an option?

• More (but not all) of my iphoto library is missing after upgrade to the Cape of El

  Well, I have an older (21.5 "iMac late 2009) and increasing problems with Chrome and Firefox to complain that my system was outdated, I finally put to El Cap.

  Then I tried to open iPhoto. Now I've been through the process at least a dozen times, so I don't know what went down the first time, except that he insisted that iphoto was also obsolete and I needed to update.  So I did.   (deep breath) OK, here are my questions for the community.

  (1) how can I tell what version of iPhoto created my library? It is not visible in news, and the version of iPhoto that I finally used was wiped out in the process of the stupid El Cap 'upgrade '. If I can't understand this point, it seems more and more like I'm going to need to blow all the metadata for 30 000 images and re - import the originals in Photos.

  (2) any suggestions on decent library management software not Apple photo? As long as I have to do it again, I'm not really interested in staying a customer of Apple.

  Are you sure, iPhoto opens this particular library?

  You can see the iPhoto library uses, if you ctrl - click on the title "iPhoto" in the title bar of the iPhoto window.

  By default, iphoto opens the library in your pictures folder, if it cannot open your main library.

  Where your iPhoto than stored library? It is in the pictures folder?

  To open a particular library in iPhoto, double-click it. And then check if iPhoto has really opened this library.

  Pictures also won't open the library in your pictures folder, if it cannot open your main library.

  You cannot resume a review for 14 days.  However, there is no limit to the number of attempts at recovery.

  Beta exams are free of theory (I guess, none of the Oracle exams are not subjective tests). Except the CMO, almost all tests, as far as I KNOW are based multiple-choice, objective test only. The difference between a beta test and production is in the number of questions and the duration of the examination. Also, you told your score during the final exam would be that may take some time depending on how plans UO to unroll the review of production. On the positive side, the tax would be much lower compared to a real review and once you are done with it, you can always mention that you were among those first people who wrote this paper and allowed :).

  I'm not hoping that the project 300 + slide is not going to be your first experience with Captivate.

  (Forgive me on this point, but your profile is not very complete, you provided little substantive and not not to LinkedIn or other portfolio pages)

  First, the standard SCORM LMS allows only a quiz by file. If you publish a course of 300 + slide, you would be limited to a simple quiz on the course.

  Secondly, as mentioned by RodWard , if you want to enable access to the mobile device, the size of your project would be unmanageable for mobile delivery to SBS. You have to break out after the fact, which is difficult, frustrating and rework.

  Thirdly, if there is no desire to reuse content, as reusable objects, the only course approach means your audience can follow the entire course or not take. Pouvez copy you slide by slide to another project, but then you would have to manage multiple variations. If a single slide changes in this approach, and you have reused slide ten times, you will need to make ten changes to keep a current slide.

  Captivate can create links to other projects, web or pages content back into your LMS. Break 300 more to the top of the slides in small bites, that's really what we do.

  My advice is to learn about Captivate, before you start this level of effort, taking training, get experience on smaller projects, publish on your LMS companies, your comments on the finished course.

  In addition, you should spend some time reading these forums, research on issues related to the interactions you want to use, questions LMS, you will need to address, and ensure that the follow-up and communication systems are in place to meet your organizations needs.

  Then you're ready to start designing for your platform, with a good understanding of the functions of Captivate as a tool, your network and your LMS.

  Whenever you press buttons "previous" or "next" during the review, the "total correct" should be updated. Some questions have more than one correct answer, so the "total decent" will increase ALWAYS just by only 1...
  
  I understand that none of you will probably know the correct answers. I have not either, to be honest (it is built to someone else). But I'm trying to test, just for a response, and if the "temp coefficient' does not increase, then I know it's the wrong answer. Press "back" and guess again...

  I am a user of long-standing iTunes U, and again, I have a problem like this. When I have a mtrying to post a note, I get the ' Manager courses was defective, "who asked me to reload the page. When I reload the page, it freezes.  I won't have a problem Announces or adding to the discussions. I thought it was my browser: I reset my browser and the problem persists.

  The problem also on my iPad app. I hope it's something on the end of Apple that will be fixed as soon as I'm knee deep in the marking of the final exams.

• Bootcamp partition disappeared after fdisk commands

  I have a serious problem caused by my own stupidity,

  I tried to resize my partition, bootcamp, with no success, of course.

  Here is what happened,

  I resized the MAC OS X partition and made a new 100 GB. Then I tried to restart Windows that did not work.

• Satellite C660-223 - system caution: "" problem with cooling detected system "".

  When I carry my Satellite C660-223 somewhere for example wear at home to College in a protective case in my backpack, I sometimes get a window warning flashing upward every 20 seconds or so said system + "warning: a problem with the cooling system has been detected." Please turn the computer off immediately and return it for service. +

  This only happens when I transported somewhere and as a first step, that these warnings system flashed only sometimes upwards after I hauled somewhere, but in the last two years, he started to get pretty much whenever I took the laptop somehwere. When the system warnings blink until the computer doesn't feel a little warmer than normal. no danger of overheating, immediately.
