• Services of missing financial reports?

  (Posted in BI challenge to go first, but then it seemed the right place.)
  
  I try to install Oracle EPM 11.1.2.1 version and I'm far enough along, but this seems weird. Everything is installed and configured, but I have no Windows service: for EN on the tier of services server.
  
  Looking at the boot order in the Installation and the Configuration Guide, I noticed that Financial Reporting Services just before the Financial Reporting application server. I guess that's what was the 4 services on the services that have been consolidated to 2 tier server, but I don't see any.
  
  I checked the installation program, I have no box under the heading 'Services' level for EN, and no 'Financial Reporting Services' element not listed when I go to "choose individually. It seems unfair, but I'm not sure. I have re-uploaded all 13 records of electronic delivery reported as necessary in the Readme file. Yet, nothing.
  
  Print server is installed with the client EN, obviously? Is not a server-side service more? Or is he now allowed to install the EN client on the same machine as the server is turned on, to cause problems?

  Hey Joe,

  There are only 2 services of financial reporting in 11.1.2.1, one is for the Web Application of Financial Reporting which is the subject of report and analysis > financial information in the Setup program, the service must be created during Application Web EN is deployed using the Configurator of EMP
  The other service is the print server that belongs to the EN Studio Installer, you can install it on the server.

• Financial reports of task list Launcehd lose PDF option

  Hyperion Planning & SmartView v 11.1.2.1

  Question:

  We have lists of tasks in the Planning Application which run reports generated in EN Studio.
  Users have their preference for "Default Preview Mode" set to HTML.

  When we have open/preview a report from the list of tasks users lose the Option to 'open in PDF format.

  The only way to obtain output reports as PDF from the list of tasks is for the user to change their preference for the "default Preview Mode" in PDF format.

  Question:

  Y does it any way users can switch between output HTML and PDF reports from their to-do list?

• Reports view HFR in the same window via the binding of task list url

  Does anyone know how to render a report, HFR, inside the application of planning, or even in the workspace when referencing to the url of this report through the task list? It is with the version 11.1.1.3. It does not appear as this version allows the task list to be built to pull up the report in the window of planning application, or even a tab separate workspace. I also want to be able to move the preview pdf or html when you view the report, but this option is not allowed when you open the report through the task list. A separate pop up appears on the report, which is not what I want.

• Hyperion Financial Reporting-Print Service is not running - put 11.1.2.1

  We use the Hyperion 11.1.2.1 and when I look at my Hyperion Financial Reporting-Print service, it shows me to stop and when I right click to stop/start it the options are grayed out.

  I completely stopped all services of hyperion and them began and now the HFR print service shows me as departure.

  Kindly help me what should I do to solve this problem.

  There should be a newspaper available that can give more indication to this problem, not being is not able to connect to the web server en is one of the common issues.

  try running the FRRemovePrintServer.cmd the Hyperion Financial reporting - Print serivce deleted successfully and run FRSetupPrintServer.cmd to add

• Hyperion Financial Reporting Studio, new items do not show reports

  Using Hyperion Financial Reporting Studio, I edit a report to add a few new accounts. I paste the lines matches the formatting and then go in and manually select the new Member (account number different which I copied).
  
  After saving the report, opening and closing back up, when I do a preview of web news show now.
  
  Here is the specific section. I added members of Base 28100 and 28100 below, the same with 28800, these items do not appear when I preview the report. The rest of the items were already there and continues to display in the preview.

• Hyperion financial reports on server location

  Hyperion financial reports are available as files raw on the web server somewhere? I would like to restore a backup and hoped that they would be in the directory \Hyperion in the form of .as files. Is probably not as easy, but any info would be great.

  For 7.2.5 reports, they're in a SQL database table (I think that something RPT) and the binary data field contains the text of the report. (I did like that because if you wanted to check what reports made use of an account, entity, you could just do a search on the table... freetext)

  9.3.1 for reports, they are in a crazy file structure, with crazy names and are compressed. You will find them under the web/RM service request folder. So X - REF names correctly, you will need to consider the more BI a little bit database. The table of interest is V8_CONTAINER.

  I've implemented a script SQL 2005 that will generate you a list of all the reports in the form of hierarchy. This will help you also attach files / reports in file structure...

  NOTE: WHERE d.PARENT_FOLDER_UUID = 'REPORTMART.

  ↑ This will return a hierarchy of EVERYTHING in the table which will probably include things you don't want to watch. Simply change "REPORTMART" to match a UUID specified in the results, and then the query will show you all items at that time here instead.

  My HP Pavilion DV6 is not creating Automatic restore points.  Laptop is ~ 3 months and is using Windows 7.   In my previous post, I had trouble with the restore points disappear.  This problem has been fixed when I corrected a number of bad sectors on my hard drive. Now, I can manually create restore points and they remain intact.  Manual of several points have been in place for a few weeks.  However, I don't get the automatic restore points.  I checked the Task Scheduler, it has listed the restoration of the system, the Task Scheduler Service is started and set to automatic.  I put triggers restore to create a restore point 02:00 every day and start the system.  Whenever I have check the properties of SR within the Task Scheduler window, it lists today and said that "the operation completed successfully (0x0).  However, no restore point is created.  I can't find any errors listed in the event where the viewer associated with the restoration of the system, kind of most prospects, it seems that the Restore Points should be created, but there is no list but the manual I did myself. I've set the conditions of restoration as follows: 1) start the task only if the computer is idle for 10 minutes. (2) wait for idle for 10 minutes. (3) wake the computer to run the task.  System Restore has 15% of disk space for storing points, so there is plenty of room.  Interestingly, on the properties of SR tab listed 'History', says ' story (disabled), so there is nothing listed there.»

  I must be missing something - any ideas?

  Last updated: the scenario and the procedure of johngalt I linked above works like a charm.  I'm daily Restore Points just like I want.  In the cases where I decide I want to only a couple of a week, I can easily change the new task at the request I created, so I don't plan to post further.   Question is resolved :-)  Thanks for the help!

  Downloaded some updates which has increased my hard disk activity, which has me concerned. I went to the restoration of the system to use my laptop for the last restore, point before downloading. • How/where are the financial reports stored on the file system of the server?

  We recently lost a large part of our reports on our server. We cannot understand what the restore directory location in order to get these reports back. Where is the default directory for 11.1.2.2 financial reports? And in what format the reports are being saved?

  EN reports can be found in the file system of the operating system (o/s), but the EMP workspace hierarchy (folders, tree, etc.) are stored in the database of repository Hyperion bi +.

  On the system of operating system files, the reports are stored in RM1 folder under folder "C:\oracle\Middleware\user_projects\epmsystem1\ReportingAnalysis\data\RM1\root".

  The names of the reports placed here are UUID (identifiers of long - not the actual names).

  For example:

  When a report is created with the name 'My report' in Studio Financial Reporting, by connecting to the EMP workspace will be available in the name of financial reports/folder where it was saved.

  the actual report will be stored in a subfolder of the RM1\root folder on the file system.

  The file name will be a unique identifier (not the real name of the report is 'my report')

  It will be generated 'on the fly' based on various things such as the date and time on the server (i.e. 0000012f5af72b1a-0000-ec71-c0a8006c.00000130510b77bb-0000-5133-c0a8006c.1)

  The meta-data for this report ('My report', that is in the folder in the workspace, the date of the change of the report, permissions on this report, etc) will be stored in the Hyperion bi + DB as an object in an encrypted table. Financial reporting knows what metadata in the Hyperion bi + DB which corresponds to the report, in the file 'RM1\root' because all rows in the table for that object in the Hyperion bi + PB related to 'My report' will be referenced using the UUID of the file (for example 0000012f5af72b1a-0000-ec71-c0a8006c.00000130510b77bb-0000-5133-c0a8006c.1)

  Note: The location of the folder of RM1 differs with each facility's operating system.

• Planning of financial reports.

  I'm trying to provide some financial reports and export PDFS for the external directory. For this, I have made changes to the fr_scheduler_Properties file in < loan > / lib folder. I did due to changes, but I don't see the external directory folder in the drop-down list (in the window in the workspace of programming).
