Find dbobject Assistant is unavailable in Sql developer 3.0

Hello

When I click on view-> find DB objects, I m you see do not use this form more.
Initially when I installed for the first time I use it, but now I can not find.
Is there any problem with the docking station?
This is developer the most important attribute of sql that seems to have a problem in the latest version that I like
Please let us know if there is any preference setting to resume.
I don't want to re install like I did a lot of setting preferred.

Thank you
Assani

Deleting the file from Developer\system3.0.03.45\o.ide.11.1.1.4.37.59.7\windowinglayout.xml to \Application Data\SQL [Windows user profile] should restore the default settings.

Hope that helps,
K.

  • Find the function object DB with SQL Developer

Hello to all, SQL developer 4.0.0.13 on Windows 7 64 bit version. I just started to use the function of object find DB. I type the name of the object in the worksheet, select the name of the object and press ALT + g pane, tab, palette, dialogbox binocular opens and shows me all the objects (and schema name) which are referred to as the selected text in the worksheet. When you click on the name of the object, the object opens twice in the object browser. Maybe I understood something wrong. I tried clicking on it once and twice, twice, I see two viewers object showing the same object. Also the pane, tab, palette, dialogbox binocular remains open after that. Is there a way I can hide/close this as soon as I click on the object. Thank you for your help in advance.

the search panel will remain open until you hide/close it

I'm not able to reproduce the problem of double-open - what type of object happens to, or she to what whether you click on?

In addition, you are on an older version, you can upgrade to 4.0.2 because it could have been corrected in a 2 patch releases as your version debuted.

  • Install SQL develop 3 damaged by 11gXE.

As indicated in the documentation, before installing the 11gXE, I installed Oracle SQL Developer 3.
I started it upward, connections from my 2.1 version and had a look.
Everything seemed normal (I made connections to several databases (Enterprise edition) on different servers and managed to access the tables etc.).

    Then I installed 11gXE.

Now when I open Oracle SQL Developer 3 once again, the browser (listing the connections and access to objects) has disappeared, while the following errors are displayed:
    Sequence Source Message elapsed level
SEVERUS started 41 2172 oracle.ide.IdeCore Exception mainWindowOpened to oracle.dbtools.raptor.oviewer.base.NavSelectionListener$L@1e1c034 fire
34 0 SEVERUS was unable to create the add-in oracle.dbtools.raptor.timesten.TTAddin

Obviously the first is what worries me.

Then, I tried to start my previous version 2.1, resulting in similar error messages and no browser as well! = > Panic.

According to the browser connection is missing and Exceptions in SQL Developer
I deleted the folder of application data to the version 3 (C:\Documents and Settings\jvdb\Application Developer\system3.0.03.97 Data\SQL), leaving all others (system2.1.1.64.39, system2.1.0.63.73 and system1.5.5.59.69).
Version 3 is restarted, the import window is presented, as expected. The import seems to run OK (just as he did on the first installation, after which all right). But once the developer SQL began, Bank error and still no browser.

It's on Winblows XP, 32-bit; SQL developer package downloaded including the JRE.

This message was also posted in the sql_dev section.

This could be expected by the documentation, the Readme (http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E17781_01/doc.112/e21743/toc.htm#CIAIAGJA).

"... Connections navigator completely unavailable in SQL Developer"- which seem to correspond to what you are experiencing.

The same doc basically said previous versions must be removed before continuing.
In addition to 2.1, it seems as you have a version of EA (3.0.03.97) of SQL Developer, not the GA or final 3.0 (3.0.04.34, I think).

If you remove any reinstall, is the issue still appear?

Could someone help me please why Geo Raptor tool is not dispaying in SQL Developer.

    Thanks in advance
    Vipin

    Vipin,

I am one of the developers for GeoRaptor.

I notice that you use version 1.5.0.52 SQL Developer.

The current version of SQL Developer work with version 2.1 and more.

Download the latest version of SQL Developer (I run version 2.1.1.64) and reinstall GeoRaptor.

If the installation is correct, you should see a menu entry GeoRaptor to the pillar of the view menu. In addition, you
should see GeoRaptor commands on the right mouse click menus on columns of tables/sdo_geometry.

Let me know if you still have problems.

  • SQL Developer / SQL Loader - copy of tables

    Hello

I currently work with two copies of a web application, to access the various Oracle environments.
I can access these two databases by using only the credentials of the web application. These credentials allow CRUD operations, but have no permission to import/export.

I tried to copy data between identical tables in the database. Given the restrictive permission set I was advised to use SQL Loader. I'm also using SQL Developer (cannot have TOAD for licensing reasons, bah!)

I managed to save the tables I want to go to the source database by using the loader file format, but can't seem to find a way to use them in the destination database. Developer SQL provides a variety of export controls, import only I see associates a xls/csv format. There are other migration assistants provided with SQL Developer, but they don't seem to want to cling to my connection settings (import/export authorizations given, once again, I think).

Developer SQL provides the facility to import ldr files?

    Thank you
    Jim

No GUI, just the \bin\sqlldr.exe on the server...

  • New installation of SQL Developer 4.0.3 is not Java 1.7

Just got a new computer and the Java is 1.7.0_85 so I will try to install the 4.0.3.16.84 SQL Developer because it says it's compatible with Java 1.7 version.  So I run the sqldeveloper/sqldeveloper.exe, and he invites me to the path of Java.  I enter the path to Java.exe (C:\Program Files\Java\jre7\bin) it fails with the error: could not find an If Java SDK installed to the path: C:\Program Files\Java\jre7\bin\.

    What Miss me?

The message says that you need a software Java SE development kit.  It's C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.7.0_85 in your case,.  If it (or some other recent jdk 1.7.0_xx) is not already there, you better download the 4.1.2 latest version.

If your machine and the OS is 64-bit, you can download the zip file with JDK 8 (abbreviated to 1.8) already included instead of separately download the JDK and SQL Developer.  Otherwise, if yours is a 32 bit (probably unlikely at that time) OS, download a 32-bit jdk1.8

  • "Save under" missing SQL Developer export

Since I've updated SQL Developer 3 to 4 last year the "save under" section was missing from my developer SQL query to export screen results, so I am unable to choose the path/name of the file to export to.  As a result, it is very annoying when I have to export several different query results, as each tries to export to "Export.xlsx", so I have to manually rename each file between exports.  I tried to install an updated version of the SQL Developer, but the fields are still missing.  None of my co-workers who has updated at the same time as I seem to have encountered this problem.  Does anyone have any suggestions as to what I might be able to do to solve this problem?

Let's try the nuclear option - find your application data directory, must be under Windows roaming profiles for your OS user... then remove the system403 directory.

    or instead of delete it-rename-the

    Restart sqldev

When he asks to import your settings from version 3.x - say 'no '.

If that suits him, then you could try bringing more of your connections and other parameters

  • I can not connect db 11g PL/SQL Developer. I want to create the new database and tables. How?

I can't connect to the database.

PL/SQL Developer <> Oracle SQL Developer.

    But anyway...

    >I can not log on to db 11 g

Why not? Is it because you don't have a database to log? You cannot use SQL Developer to create a database. You will need to use the database Wizard or SQL * more to it. Or you can download a virtual appliance machine that already has an installation of database on this subject...

  • Characters not visible (caused by hitting the bar space or TAB in PL/SQL developer tool) causing slow running query? and database with low performance?

    Hi all

I need your help to get this issue resolved its urgent and I'm not able to get to the conclusion. Here is my scenario, I'm getting slow query runs because of some non-visible characters that are copied with the application of the PL/SQL developer tool. Please find below attached screenshot: Oracle_Issue

    Oracle_Isssue.png

Note: This non-visible characters are caused when we write the query then us hit the SPACEBAR or press TAB PL/SQL developer tool

I use the developer tool PL/SQL to write or test the query. Now I take this request copy paste in my application of the company (who takes this query connects to Oracle or any source of data base, catch data and produce PDF reports for customers).

Now, my client is the Oracle user when I write and you run this query by the PL/SQL Developer, it works fine, but when I paste in my Inbox feature request (reporting system) and run it, it runs slower and jams to the customer database. Now after a little research I found that when I copy the query directly from PL/SQL developer at my request, he copy some characters not visible (introduced when we press SPACE or TAB in PL/SQL developer tool when writing query) with the request, then I copy this query again to my box of the application Notepad and delete these non-visible characters. Now, after removing the non-visible characters again once I copy backup question in my application and run the query, it works normally. Please find below attached screenshot: Oracle_Issue 2

    Oracle_Isssue_2.png

So I think that the cause of slow performance is due to some INVISIBLE CHARACTERS present in the query.

My application uses SQL server 2008-2012 at the backend to store data from different sources.

    Character set used: SQL_Latin1_General_CP1_CI_AS

To write and test queries: PL/SQL developer tool

My Client use Oracle 11 g

Character set used: Normal character: NLS_CHARACTER: AL16UTF16

    National Characeter: NLS_NCHAR_CHARACTER: WE8WIN1521

I just wanted to know the blocking process to the top of the database and the characters not visible how affecting slow running query of query database.

Please let me know if I'm missing something or you need more information on this issue.

    Thanks in advance,

    HP

    Simple answer. No.

Spaces and line breaks do not change the execution plan created. Does not plan to run slower or faster.
