"Save under" missing SQL Developer export

Since I've updated SQL Developer 3 to 4 last year the "save under" section was missing from my developer SQL query to export screen results, so I am unable to choose the path/name of the file to export to.  As a result, it is very annoying when I have to export several different query results, as each tries to export to "Export.xlsx", so I have to manually rename each file between exports.  I tried to install an updated version of the SQL Developer, but the fields are still missing.  None of my co-workers who has updated at the same time as I seem to have encountered this problem.  Does anyone have any suggestions as to what I might be able to do to solve this problem?

Let's try the nuclear option - find your application data directory, must be under Windows roaming profiles for your OS user... then remove the system403 directory.

or instead of delete it-rename-the

Restart sqldev

When he asks to import your settings from version 3.x - say 'no '.

If that suits him, then you could try bringing more of your connections and other parameters

  • SQL Developer export Limitation of CLOB columns

    Hi all

Anyone happen to know if there is a column size limitation when you export data (excel, text, etc.) in the results of query results pane? It seems to be a limit of 4000 bytes. Specifically, I'm trying to export sql results that contain CLOB which is store XML messages.

Is this a known limit and if so, is there any hope of this being increased?

    I am using the following:
    Windows XP SP3
Developer SQL 2.1.0.63 (is also on the 1.5 Branch)
    Server Oracle 10.2.0.4
    Client Oracle 10.2.0.1

    Yes, that's correct.
If you want improved, add a request to the exchange of SQL Developer, for other users can vote and add weight to the possible future implementation.

  • Preview "save under" missing on the file menu.

There is no easy way to download a PDF, open in preview and save as to a new location.

Open the PDF file and use the menu file/move and select your new location. You could also select "Export to PDF" and choose your new location, including change of name, just be sure to remove the .pdf that appears.

I thought it would be easy to use this wizard to create jobs for export.  I went around and on which user and correct subsidies, etc.

So now I'm stuck on the message: 'None of the directories in all_directories', I created a couple of directories with CREATE a DIRECTORY, but that did not help.

    I use 4.1.0.17

  • SQL Developer, wrong file name registration

    Hello

I use generation SQL Developer 4.0.2.15 15.21 on Windows7 Enterprise 64-bit. Recently, I found that when I save the contents of the pane out of the Script (by clicking on the floppy disk icon) and use the select a file to replace dialog box, SQL Developer is overwhelming in fact another file in the same directory.

I already tried to restart SQL Developer, restart Windows and rename the properties - preferences.xml to force SQL Developer for the re - create (in case it has been altered in some way), but I still see the same behavior.

My current workaround is to manually type the name of the existing file in the dialog "Save" to save a new copy.

Anyone have any ideas on what could be the problem or how I could try to fix this? I searched the usual sources (google, this forum and My Oracle Support) but have not found anything similar with the exception of "

    Hello
on the Tools menu, you will see "Unloading of database" option. That's what you're looking for (the 'Export' label has been changed to "Unload".

  • Export SQL Developer forgot to check to include semicolons in DDL

    Hello

I used the SQL function Export developers (tables select and do right click on them, and select export) to backup tables.

However, I forgot to put the "Abschlusszeichen" (sorry for German). This means apparently my create table statements are not finished by a ';' and they do not run sinmply method @script.sql or function import sql developers.

A sql file is 2 GB in size, so I currently have no idea how edit it and manually add semicolons. Y at - it a hope of saving data?

  • SQL Developer 3 - export truncates the XMLType data

I am train to export data from and column XMLType & its getting truncated.
I've tried insert formats, text, html, and csv. Big data gets truncated to 4000 characters, but its not exactly consistent.

Is this all just not supported in SQL Developer, or am I missing something simple?

You are right that there is currently a maximum of 4000 characters when exporting large data types.

  • How export/import the database from the Tools menu in sql developer.

    Hello

I need to export the database to a server and import it on another server db using the export function of database under the Tools menu in SQL developer. How to import it? This is for Oracle database 10g.

    Thank you

    Hello

You can do it, but I do not recommend because sqldeveloper could eat all the memory of the system to analyze the script. Now the question is do you have also opted for storage option when you export, if yes make sure that similar tablespace exists or available in env b. Also if you want to use the generated sqldeveloper file you can run this file from sqlplus session

    sqlplus newuser/password
    sqlplus > @myexport.sql

But my advice or suggestion or recommendation to be, you should consider using export/import or datapump but the decision is yours. Hope this helps

  • Import Export using SQL Developer

    People

I have 6 tables whose data must be exported from a database and imported into the other. The structure of the table constraints etc. is the same across both of the DB.

Database is 11g. Average amount of data in tables 5 is 2.5million contain lines and 1 340million.

Could you please suggest the best possible way to the export and import of data using SQL Developer. Developer SQL version 3.2.20.09

There is an option in the 'View' tab in Developer SQL by using 'DBA' but do not have s/n of these patterns. I am well aware expdp and impdp operations but it is managed by another team that can cause delays both want to do it myself.

Can we do expdp and impdp on SQL Developer without access s/n?

    All of the suggestions.

    Thank you

Simple method would be to create external table Using the ORACLE_DATAPUMP Access Driver. Its neat and fast.

  • State of export SQL Developer 4

I just upgraded from SQL Developer 3-4, and I noticed that when I export a file, there is no indication of the number of lines have been treated (he said just 'works' until its done). How can I change this?

You can not, but if you open the Panel on the progress of tasks, you can export it - assuming that it takes more than a few moments to do the job.

  • New versions of Sql Developer not showing do not export progress

Hi, actually I was using SQL Developer to effect considered. The version I used was 3.0.04 and took me to Version 4.0.1.14 in earlier versions of SQL Developer (3.0.04) when I exported the query results that I would see a current account of the number of records exported in the lower left corner of the window. With 4.0.1.14 when I export all I see is a progress bar below on the right with the word 'RUN', but I don't get a count of the number of how many records were exported. Is this something that has been removed from more recent updates of SQL Developer?  The account running has been a very useful for large ensemble export, so that we can have a clear idea of the progress of the export.  Please any body can advice me how turn on the feature that displays the number of records exported.

View > Task progress will show you a number of records running for your exports

  • PS 2015: Major color change, "Export as" vs "save under".

All started to use Photoshop 2015, and I see a change in color, terrible when I use "Export As.... "in JPEG or PNG format.  (Same thing with "Quick Export").  (See image below)

I have experimented with changing the color settings, color profile, etc., but nothing seems to change.  "Save under" seems OK, "Export as" looks dark and crappy.

Anyone got a glimpse of this?

    BadColorExport.jpg

It was also a problem with an active extract and continues to be a pain to work around with generating assets. Apparently, Adobe is not imagine that we use color profiles in our workflows and so export fails to include the option in one of these new paradigms. It becomes more frustrating...
