Firefox 5: reload button is gray!

Firefox 5: reload button is gray!

This happens on Yahoo! (my browser home page) and even on this site. Note: No URL will appear when this happens.

Screenshot

I opened a new browser for troubleshooting info. Same question.
When I closed the Troubleshooting tab, the original page now shows the URL and the reset button is activated...

(When I closed and open a new page - the problem comes back.)

I had no such problem with Firefox 4.

Start Firefox in Firefox to solve the issues in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions of the origin of the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > appearance/themes).

I'm under Firefox 9.0.1 windows environment 7. It is a problem I've had with Firefox 8, so, even if it's only when I opened my home page, no new window.

I prefer the new window that looks at a display by tabs, and when I click on a link and a new browser window opens, all my base control (forward, back, stop/reload) buttons are gray except home.

  • FIrefox version 29: need an OFFICIAL for the return method reload button on the left side

Are there addons that are OFFICIALLY supported and maintained by mozilla? Or could there be some hidden options I can change? Or perhaps the command line parameters? Or at least a confirmation that this issue has been taken seriously and will be resolved in the next version?

Please don't suggest third-party addons, applications, themes or whatever. If I cared to install one of those, then I can just as easily download chome.

You can use this code as well in the userChrome.css file, but does not move the button reload at the far left in the location bar container

  • I have no tab stop or reload button. It does not appear in the toolbar customization or on the toolbar. I have firefox 20.

I have searched the Internet for a solution, but fails. Firefox 20 did stop reload button?

The current versions of Firefox use a combined Stop/Reload/Go button that is placed on the side of the right end of the address bar.

    • During the process of loading page it shows as a stop button and once the charging button is replaced by a reload button.
    • If you type in the address bar this button would then become a button go.
    • Click or hold down the CTRL key and click the Reload button to duplicate the current tab in a new tab.

    Thanks for listening!

As far as I know, the Restorer of classic theme add-on is the only way to do it.

    1. Classic restaurateur theme installation and restart Firefox when prompted.
    2. Open Manager modules (Ctrl + Shift + A) and then the Extensions category.
    3. Beside the classical restaurant theme, click on the Options button.
    4. On the main tab, make sure that 'Mobile back-forward button' and 'hide urlbars stop & reload buttons' is checked. You can also check "combine stop & reload buttons.
    5. Right-click on a zone empty of the tab bar and select Customize.
    6. Do slide forward/backward buttons, Stop and reload on the navigation toolbar.
    7. Click the Customize the output at the bottom right button when finished.

  • New back button and reload buttons

That happened with the "back" button and the button reload.

The "back" button and the next button used to have a little low if clicked would display previously cached pages. Why I don't see this more. I can't find any where to install it.

The button reload and stop button are now moved to the right of the page and I want to bring it back to the left. Is it possible to do this?

    I am running Firefox 4.0.1

    Drop-front/rear marker

The drop-down list marker was removed from the Back/Forward button in Firefox 4.

You can do one of the following:

    Stop/Reload buttons

Firefox 4.0 has a Go/Reload/Stop combined button that is placed at the right end of the address bar.

    • During the process of loading page it shows as a stop button and once the charging button is replaced by a reload button. If you type in the address bar this button would then become a button go.
    • You can middle click on this button to duplicate the current tab in a new tab.
    • In Firefox 4.0, you can move the Stop/Reload button out of the address bar and put them where you want on the toolbar. You can also make it appear as separate buttons on the toolbar.
      • Open the window to customize the toolbars to move them out of the address bar.

        • Click the Firefox button > Options > toolbars
        • If you use the Menu bar: click on view > toolbars > customize
      • Swap the two buttons or move them to their previous position to the left of the address bar.
      • If the order is 'Reload - Stop' to get a combined "Stop/Reload" button.
      • Switch the order to 'Stop - Reload' or separate them otherwise to get two separate buttons.

You need to update the following:

    • Adobe PDF plugin for Firefox and Netscape
    1. Check your plugin versions on one of the following links:

    2. Update of Adobe Reader (PDF plugin):
      • Within your existing Adobe (If you have already installed) drive:

        • Open the Adobe Reader program in your list of programs
        • Click Help > check for updates
        • Follow the instructions to update
        • If this method works for you, go to the section "download full installer ' below and go to"after the installation"below
      • Download the full installer (If you have NOT installed Adobe Reader):
      • After installation, launch Firefox and recheck your version.
  • Reload button missing in the toolbar and not available to add

There is no refresh button in the navigation toolbar in Firefox 4. When I go to add a customization, I am not offered a refresh icon. There are only 17 icons of your choice. The 'help' on personalization shows many more options.

In Firefox 4 default stop, Go and Reload (Refresh) the buttons are combined and attached on the right edge of the address bar.

When you type in the address bar, it will show the Go button. When loading a site is it shows the Stop button. Sometimes it shows the button reload.

If you want separate buttons, right-click on a toolbar and select Customize, you can then drag the stop or reload buttons and place them elsewhere. If you place them in the order 'Reload-Stop' on the right side of the address bar they will be together again. • How can I get Home, Reload buttons and front/rear logically grouped together, rather than splashed randomly in the upper part of the browser?

In Firefox 3, all the buttons are grouped into V4, they are now scattered across the top of the Explorer, imitated IE7/8 - over the button "stop loading" went to bath of crowd - it would get that back, as well.

You can open the Customize to make it possible to change the position of these toolbar buttons.

Open the Customize via "view > toolbars > customize" or "Firefox > Options > toolbars."

    • Drag the home button from its current position on the right to the previous position to the left of the address bar.
    • Drag the Reload and Stop buttons to their previous position on the left side of the address bar.
    • Set the "Reload - Stop" order for a combined "Stop/Reload" button.
    • Set the order of 'Stop - Reload' or separate them otherwise to get two separate buttons.

  • Most of my tool buttons is gray making it unusable, how do I activate them?

Recently I get floods of spam mail. After the search for solutions, I am trying to mark all messages as spam or non-spam.
I used to be able to do it using the buttons on the toolbar at the top, but now some are grayed out like the junk button - so unusable.
I don't think I changed any settings that could trigger this problem, then what can I do to make the buttons turn black and active?

I would really advice this spam attack is really overwhelming and time consuming. Because spam is on my server, my iPad and iPhone receives, multiplying removal sessions I have to do.

Thanks in advance for any help

You say that they are grayed out, but have you tried to use your buttons? They turn to me, just like the default theme presents.

For example, your "forward" button is gray. Others look OK.

If you want more color, then try a few themes. I like xpDefault because it restores most of the colors and brings to Thunderbird more in line with the rest of the user interface of my computer.

I'm stumped on this button you think you've lost. I don't think I've ever seen junk and not Junk buttons in Thunderbird by default. Junk status can be set and disarmed by the use of the mark, and right-click, or using j and J keys on the keyboard (but I can never remember who does what) and it has of course undesirable column in the Thread pane. This allows you to set an undesirable positive status, but leaves me uneasy that it does not provide a way to mark messages as legitimate, positively contrary to JunQuilla.

I have in my toolbar buttons junk and not junk but I put them there by the use of the add-on JunQuilla .

Note that junk and Spam are two different things. Thunderbird refers to unwanted messages as junk. When you see the word 'spam', if you do, so he came by the way, generally your ISP or e-mail provider or maybe your own antivirus software or security.

  • Why Send button is gray?

In the last week or so the Send button remained gray and unavailable for new messages, even after I add an address. If I save and reopen air streams, I can send. No problem with the answers. I have restarted Thunderbird without change.

Restart Thunderbird with disabled modules (Thunderbird Safe Mode). On the Help menu, click "restart with disabled modules. If Thunderbird works as usual, there is an add-on or theme interfere with normal operations. You will need to reactivate the modules one at a time until you locate the offender.

  • Send button is grayed out when I create a new message, but not when I answer.

Send button and the spell check button is grayed out - as are the format and insert menus - when I create a new message. When I reply to a message, all the buttons and menus work. If I start to answer, but change the beneficiary, subject to line and insert a completely new message, I can send it.

Windows 7 Pro, Version 6.1, Service Pack 1
Gmail configured according to the instructions from google.

and the Send button becomes active when you actually address your mail (you can not send mail without address)

The spell check button has no content to check, so it does not work until you start to type in the body of the mail.

Even with the insertion, and menu format if you insertion point is not in the body of the email that they do not have a destination to work with.

  • Is there a way to tell Firefox to reload a page every time? I am a web designer and need to see what it looks like every time I open the pages that I do.

In Internet Explorer, you can configure the program to reload a web page each time you visit a page. I can't find a way to do it in FF. I prefer to only reload the Web sites that I work on rather than on the web, but it's probably not possible with any browser.
