Firefox ate my bookmarks Menu. He did he spit anywhere?
Firefox ate my Menu bookmarks, I used to click to scroll through my bookmark folders. So what is space empty, not even a few crackles. The sidebar is not half as possible.
I would appreciate your telling me how to get it back, or slap the animal to make changes without warning us first.
Kind regards.
P.S. Working with Win8 Pro.
You can check the problems caused by a localstore.rdf file corrupted if 'Restore Default Set' did not work.

I've recently updated Firefox. The bookmarks menu has a new menu item called "all bookmarks". It seems to be a true copy of the bookmarks. When I try to add a new bookmark, all bookmarks folder is the one indicated in the dialog box. I tried to delete the folder all the bookmarks, but then nothing is displayed in the dialog box when I try to add a new bookmark.
If I add a new bookmark, it is placed in the folder all bookmarks and does not appear in the top level element that I want it in virtue. Any ideas on what I can do to solve this problem.
The update went normally without my intervention.
Thank you
This may be a problem with the places.sqlite file that stores the bookmarks and history.

The search for the location of the FOLDER to a bookmark in my bookmarks menu of Firefox
I organize my personal favorites in folders in my bookmarks menu of Firefox.
I can search the bookmarks saved in the signet library.
This gives a good selection of results containing information about the bookmark (web) name, access date etc but NOT the location of the folder in my bookmarks menu.
How to identify the location of the bookmark FOLDER in my bookmarks menu of Firefox?Take a look at these three extensions and see that we have the features you want.

I loaded a bunch of Add-ons and extensions in Firefox. Since then, when I close and re-open Firefox, change my bookmarks toolbar menu. They are all still there, but their location on the menu bar change tool. Example, I keep the most used where they are visible on the front of the tool bar, but to re - open, they are everywhere, but visible and probably near the bottom of the toolbar drop-down list is looooong.

Launch Firefox in Mode safe -
There is no bookmarks in the bookmarks bar. The only way I can access my favorites by clicking on the bookmarks Menu. All the booksmarks and folder then appear in the menu - drop down but when I go to organize, he didn't is that anything listed under organization. My story will be displayed in the sidebar. I can not find a way to sort my favorites and don't know if I can save a new bookmark.
One possible cause is a problem with the places.sqlite file that stores the bookmarks and history.

Start Firefox in Firefox to solve the issues in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is the cause of the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > appearance/themes).
- Makes no changes on the start safe mode window.

Fault strike; should be "how to restore him organize bookmarks... selection." Also, this selection does not exist when I manually change Firefox to show the new tab menu orange "Firefox" in the upper left of the Firefox window.
Select "Show all bookmarks" in the bookmarks menu. It performs the same function that "organize bookmarks" used for.

When I've upgraded to Firefox 4 My Bookmarks toolbar was still there, but instead of going through the entire screen, on the right side is the menu bookmarks menu drop-down (with options to display all bookmarks, Bookmark this Page, and all of my bookmark folders). When I turn on the menu bar that it disappears from this place because it is in the Menu bar instead. I wish I had the hidden menu bar, but I don't want the menu bookmark taking place in my Bookmarks toolbar either. Is it possible to move (or delete)?
I had the same problem. Try to delete the bookmarks drop down menu on the Navigation bar button.

As above
"Organize bookmarks" has been renamed to "show all bookmarks" in the bookmarks menu.

I have more trouble to organize my bookmarks in a sidebar. I want an entire page to work with like in FF3. Also, when I tried dragging the bookmarks in a folder in the sidebar, she also copied the bookmark and I had to then delete the copy. More work instead of less. Is it possible to get to organize back bookmarks on the page top Favorites menu?
It is always there, it was renamed. "Organize bookmarks" has been renamed to "show all bookmarks" in the bookmarks menu.

I deleted my bookmarks menu in the toolbar. How can I get that back?
I did something (I don't know what) and my bookmarks menu icon disappeared from the toolbar (next to the button on the home page).
How can I recover it?
I am running Windows 7.29 of Firefox and later versions have the interface Australis which seems different from the UI in Firefox 28 and older versions.
- With the interface Australis orange Firefox menu button has been replaced by the three Menu of Firefox button at the right end of the Navigation bar on the bar
A consequence of this new menu button is that you can no longer hide the Navigation toolbar - There is a star as the button at the right end of the search bar on the Navigation toolbar to bookmark the current web page and a "Show bookmarks" button next to it to open bookmarks in a menu drop-down
- It is still possible to have the bar of menus visible through the context menu on toolbars to have menus like the bookmarks menu
If you have removed (deleted), this bookmark star combined and see your bookmarks button then looking in the window customize via the menu of Firefox 3 button bar.

No need for details.
- By clicking on the star in the toolbar navigation go to bookmark the page in the "Unsorted Bookmarks" folder and the star lights in blue to show that
- Bookmarks > 'Bookmark this Page' (Ctrl + D) going to bookmark the page in the folder of bookmarks Menu (you will need to confirm that)

How can I turn off the tiny icons next to the URL in my bookmarks menu?
My question says it all.
Thank you.
Firefox is not integrated to show/hide icons (also known under the name of favicons) site in the bookmarks menu or Bookmarks toolbar, but you may be able to find an extension to take care of this. You can search here: https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/
Alternatively, you can change many of the Firefox user interface using custom style rules. There are a few differences between Windows and Mac when it comes to the menu bar, so I hope that someone more familiar with the Mac can sound all of the bookmarks menu.

How to restore a Firefox refreshed all bookmarks to an external hard drive?
I've just 'refreshed' Firefox and lost ALL my passwords, even if the instructions said that they would be saved. I tried to copy it in the folder of old data from Firefox and it does NOTHING. I have all the data I need on an external hard drive and the ability to navigate (already found my Firefox profile on the backup drive) and to copy and paste data from this drive on my C drive. Please tell me EXACTLY how to transfer my favorites for the latest version of Firefox. I have YEARS of bookmarks that I can't AFFORD TO LOSE. I'll be more than happy to just restore my old profile even if that slow Firefox. It would be a small price to pay, but I must have bookmarks in return. Help, please!
Hi, in case bookmarks trying to open the profile folder, then find the folder called "bookmarkbackups". Use the most recent file to restore bookmarks menu favorites - all bookmarks - import and backup - restore.

How to move recently implemented bookmark bookmarks in the bookmarks Menu?
Using the latest version of Firefox on your desktop - Windows 7 Professional. All recently marked bookmarked Web sites appear in "Recently marked with a bookmark", but not in the Menu "Favorites". How can I get new bookmarks appear in the bookmarks Menu directly instead of bookmark recently? Otherwise how can I move all entries from bookmark recently to the bookmarks Menu?
Any help would be appreciated.
Whitey
Sorry, you can't just ' click on ' once and a new bookmark Menu bookmarks be saved in the folder. The default folder to save a bookmark is the unsorted folder. It has been like this for Firefox 3, and I've never seen an extension that changes this feature.
Overall, there are 5 ways to save a new bookmark in Firefox:
1 {Ctrl + D}
2. right click and select Bookmark this Page.
3 bookmarks > Bookmark this Page
4. double-click on the star that is located on the right side of the address bar.
4A. (clicking on the star will save the new bookmark in the unsorted bookmarks folder).
5. left click and drag the image to the site (Favicon) in the toolbar URL (or the active tab) in the display of the Sidebar Bookmark {Ctrl + B}
or point bar Bookmarks menu (the drop down menu is open) , then in the drop-down list of your bookmarks and the folder of bookmarks (open records)
or on the bookmarks toolbar - the new bookmark will be saved only when you release the left mouse button.Recently the Favorites isn't a 'real' folder. If you do not see this folder just right-click on this file and delete it.
