Firefox bar tabs at the top this problems

Hello

At the present time, my browser is formatted such that the tabbar is on top. It works fine but there is a small gap of a few pixels from the top of my screen to the top of the tab. This results in not being able to move my mouse to the top of the screen and the selection of tabs. Is it possible to remove it so that I can select the tabs even with my mouse to the top of my screen?

Also, when I have two or more tabs open at the same time, the whole information bar (where the bar of tabs and the toolbar sit nav) moves down. For example, when I have a tab open, the whole information bar is X height. But when I open a new tab, it extends to a height of X +. If I close this new tab, it will shrink to X height. How can I fix?

Thanks for you're help

Thanks for the reply.

I FT Graphite Glow installed and without her (safe mode), the second question disappears. I'll try to download other themes to see if only the clan FT of the themes have this problem.

      • I can confirm that theme FT series causes the second question. I was able to find a theme that corrects the first in the "Chrome FX" theme. It removes the gap little as far as I know. I hope this helps someone else.

Thank you

You can see the 'tab on bottom' or extension of "Restorer of classic theme.

You can find the "Tabs on top" setting in the list of Options/preferences of the extension of the CTR (1) tab.

You can show the menu bar via the context menu of a toolbar or 'Customize-> show/hide toolbars' to have the bar of menus with the menu file and Edition Tools bookmarks and history.

The toolbars are still on display in your browser?

If you still have the address bar, right click on any part that is not a text box or the icon, or if you do not like that of any space right click on the three horizontal lines on the right side of the address bar window. This should show some options, click on 'Menu Bar' and the tabs you are missing should appear.

As a side note, usually if these options are missing, your icon of firefox in the upper left corner of the window should look different (being a rectangular button itself as opposed to an icon), and the 'file', 'Edition', 'Bookmarks', etc., are found after clicking on this button.

    Hope that helps.

  • Tabs at the top of the page option does not appear in the menu when I control-click on a blank section of the tab strip in Firefox MacBook on 15.

I've just updated my Firefox version 15.0 browser on my MacBook. I'm really used to having the tabs under the address bar. However, when I Ctrl-click on a blank section of the band to tabs, there no option "Tabs" at the top on the shortcut menu.

Any suggestion on how to find this option would be appreciated.

That changed in 15 Firefox and is now a hidden preference; the default is for tabs on top to be on. To disable the tabs on top, you use about: config. The instructions are the last item on the next page. I've also included a link on how to use about: config

  • I get a strange behavior of the bar tabs and the address bar in Firefox 29,0 for Mac.

I just installed Firefox 29,0 for Mac.
I have a strange behavior of the bar tabs and the address bar with this new version.
Instead of the address bar, I get two rows of symbols. And it is impossible to write anything in the address bar.
(I add a screenshot, but I can't find a way to do it).

Firefox has an RSS icon in the palette of the toolbar that you can drag a toolbar (but not on the location bar container).

    • Firefox menu button > Options/Preferences > toolbars
    • View > toolbars > customize
  • I want tabs on the bottom. Instructions say go to the Firefox tab at the top of the page. There is no such tab & I can't change it from tools > options.

I just installed FF 5.0 & info page says to change the back legs, go to the Firefox tab at the top of page and click on options. There is no such tag on my page. Also if the guy in the video tutorial on why it is 'better' has spoken clearly and about 50 miles an hour slower, maybe I could understand what he was saying. You have a lot of glitches tight now. My password does not work and when I reset it and tried to access the page "Support" it says "access denied." It was after he says that my password has been changed successfully. Please notify me by email when an answer is found. Thank you.

-> click on Firefox-> go to Options--> deselection tabs on top

    OR

-> Tap ALT key or press F10 to display the Menu bar

-> go to Menu view-> toolbars-> deselection tabs on top

Check and tell if its working.

  • Firefox tabs on the top and the Firefox button not there

I've recently upgraded to Firefox 4 and am very happy with it. Today, however, some parties have disappeared! I do not see the Firefox tabs on top or the dresser orange Firefox Button. Is the new button to reload in the Awesome Bar and when I checked the version, Firefox luckily informed me that I have the last update 4.0 so not sure what is happening. Ideas for help would be appreciated as I really like the new features!

To get the orange Firefox button, you need to hide the menu bar, do a right click on a toolbar and click on the entrance to the "Menu bar" to deselect it. You can temporarily show menus if you need by pressing Alt or F10.

To change the position of the tabs, you can right click on a toolbar and click the entry "Tabs at the top".

  • tabs at the top of IE and Firefox say untitled document

I use Safari so never noticed this until a customer pointed them. The tabs at the top of IE and Firefox that show previous page say untitled document titles. Where can I give the page a title these browsers are looking for?

    > No, don't not using frames. Why do you ask?

Because when you use framesets, no matter what titles for the
pages are this charge in the chassis, if the frameset document.

It seems in my new version of Firefox 40.0.3 that I can't see the tabs at the top at all times. They disappear until I have fly over the top of the screen and they then they reappear. Some of my work requires that I see when the browser tab is over, loading or to update and it is not possible when the tab is not displayed. Is there a setting that I can choose to make the tabs of the browser stay visible at all times? Thanks for all the ideas.

Looks like you committed inadvertently mode full screen.

    Press the F11 key.

  • I'm getting the foreign language symbols and overlapping tabs at the top of my screen. Why?

  • TabGroups Manager use/uninstall deleted view - toolbars - tabs on the top menu.

After using the TabGroups Manager addon for a short period, I decided to remove again. One of the options that it allows him to use tabs on the high function, I was using. He puts his own groups of toolbar in the title bar, but it seems buggy, so I removed it, with tabs on top still operational. I had been using it via the main menu, by using Alt-V-T-T. After you remove TabGroups Manager according to the normal procedure, from the extensions page and restart, I realized that I had tabs on top and went to restore it, but the element is missing from the menu. I don't know any other way to change this, but the biggest concern is that the menu items have been removed at some point. Please could you tell me what may have caused this and how to restore the option.

The status bar is no longer used in current Firefox releases and is replaced by the add-on bar (view > toolbars).

Current versions of Firefox only show the menu entry "Tabs" at the top menu "view > toolbars" and "Firefox > Options ' and in the shortcut menus toolbar if the tabs are not in the default position on the top.

If the notches located on the top and the menu entry is not available and you want to move the tabs under the navigation toolbar, then you have to toggle the pref browser.tabs.onTop false on the subject: config page.
A restart of Firefox is necessary for updating the menu entry to display or remove.

Note that this pref will no longer effect when the code Australis lands on the output channel (which will be in Firefox 29,0).

Some menu entries in the main menu bar are hidden if you are using the mouse and only appear if you use the keyboard to open the menu.

Some entries in the View menu and history have been deleted to clean up the UI, because studies showed that it was low-use items.

On Windows and Linux, these were already hidden when serve you the mouse to enter the bar of menus and only appeared when you used the keyboard.

You can click on the button Home (far-right on the Navigation bar) or the keyboard (Alt/Option + Home).

You can find backward, forward and reload from the context menu in the navigation area or the use of the buttons on the Navigation toolbar.

  • Set the bar tab under the address bar; No options "Tabs above" not listed anywhere.

There's no other choice "Tabs at the top".

Tab Mix Plus move at the bottom of the view-port, but not in the address bar at the view port.

Extremely awkward. makes navigation difficult and more difficult to locate the tabs, being further from the view port.

Hello Fudd12345, for the moment still manually, you can change this behavior - enter Subject: config in the address bar of firefox (confirmed the message information where it appears), search for the preference named browser.tabs.onTop & activate false by double-clicking it.

However this setting could lose its effect in a future version of the browser, for more information, see also www.ghacks.net/2012/07/26/mozilla-tabs-on-bottom-feature-needs-to-go/

  • How can I move the tabs at the top of the screen?

I have two computers. Both have Windows 7. Opening of Firefox on a computer, the tabs are at the top of the screen. On the second computer, there is a gap between the tabs and the top of the screen. I would like to have the tabs at the top of the screen on both computers, but cannot find a setting to enable this.

You get only the bar tabs in the title bar, if the screen is maximized (Alt + space > enlarge or click expand).

  • How to remove the Firefox orange button at the top left of the screen

How remove Firefox orange button at the top left of the screen, it is a serious obstacle to my impulsive reflex hit "File" at the top left of the screen. Is throwing me off the coast of the big time, but also another source of frustration {absent these new version basic navigation features would be the first temporary fixed through 'extension' but until the next version makes it no longer work} [is not a plugin or the Correction-nazis will flood this thread!]

So, how do you remove this huge blazing orange block with the label at the top left of the screen?

I tried to ask this question in another thread, but apparently working away from home for more than one month is the once unthinkable and a sign of decline. This thread is now "archived" and here-car, locked. So I have to make a new thread to ask this again.

A large number of text for a simple problem, but as I've learned since the update de.28 or other, nothing to do with Mozilla is simple. Especially the navigation and functionality. I have yet to wrap my brain around the fact that they slaughtered this program so much in so little time. If java and SWF plugins continued to work on the former, I would have NEVER updated!

The community is much too complacent on these MAJOR issues.

I think that I fixed it by changing the theme to default to something ugly, then return to default... Box orange GONE!

Thank you for your time and patience.
