Firefox can be optimized for google docs

When I set up a spreadsheet online in google docs, darkening of the Firefox splash screen, other aspects of slow running. The occultation of screen will last for 2-3 minutes, and then clear up, 2-3 minutes later it turns off again. The tabs less I support, but not the answer. IMO the problem got worse on the latest updates. I have a memory of laptop HP, 2000 MHz CPU 1300.000, 7586 MiB.

THX, Larry

Well something good and bad.

I supported Firefox with FEBE, then not connected and closed. A backup of a computer and re-i9nstalled Firefox. When I opened Firefox I had a problem with Gdrive (Ubuntu 'My car' interface), Gdrive so re-installed/updated. In the process, there was msg that old Gdrive files would be deleted. It also appears that uninstalling Firefox left most environment Firefox. I was able to get to the worksheet and got the script error. I opened one half of the same script first, error. I created a new file and adds a few googlefunctions, no error. Google has recently updated their program Calc for spreadsheet, and I noticed a difference in the new file. I thought the update update was backward compatible, maybe not. I'll check google to see if there are similar problems. Solved?

    Reload this Web page later.
Check your Internet connection. Restart to any router, modem or other network devices, you could use.
Add Google Chrome as a program authorized in the settings of your firewall or antivirus software. If it is already authorized program, try to remove from the list of allowed programs and Add again.

  • Google docs has suddenly said there is a cookie issue. Worked well until recent days.

He said to ensure that cookies are enabled. And I went to authorized privacy of websites to follow me. It still does not work. Then he said that maybe I need to clear my cache and cookies. There is no Info for Firefox versions past 3.5, so I have no idea what to do now. If something can be done. Google Docs still works fine in Chrome.

To display all parameters of the history and cookies, use:

    • Tools > Options > privacy > Firefox will be: "use the custom settings for history".
    • Press F10, or press the Alt key to bring up the 'Menu Bar' temporarily if the menu bar is hidden.
    • Use "Firefox > Options" instead of "tools > Options" If the menu bar is hidden.
  • The use of CFHTTP to submit a form directly to a form of google docs

OK, so here is some information

Google has a service where you can create forms using google docs and embed them in your Web page, results are automatically stored in a spreadsheet google on presentation.

I want to use my own form to present to the processing page of google forms I can get to work though generic default google hosted thank-you page appears on submissing.

I know that you can use cfhttp to submit a form from a coldfusion server, so I thought I could just spend my form variables to a page of the action which returned them via cfhttp and thus circumvent the thank you total page

However, when I try it it does not work and the results are not displayed in the google spreadsheet. I thought that mabye the google page treatment could tell that it was not presented in a browser so I tired adding a useragent string but still no luck.

Here is the code I tried to use

    "< cfhttp method = 'POST' url = 'https://spreadsheets.google.com/formResponse?key=tlo4FjygqMuUGmvuOb2_Gjw" redirect = "yes" useragent = "Mozilla/4.0 (compatible;" MSIE 8.0; Windows NT 6.2; Trident/4.0; SLCC2; .NET CLR 2.0.50727; .NET CLR 3.5.30729 .NET CLR 3.0.30729; Media Center PC 6.0) ">"

    < cfhttpparam type = "Formfield" name = "entry.0.single" value = "testValue1" > "
    < cfhttpparam type = "Formfield" name = "entry.1.single" value = "testValue2" > "

    < / cfhttp >

And the worksheet online can be found here

    http://spreadsheets.Google.com/pub?key=tlo4FjygqMuUGmvuOb2_Gjw & Single = true & gid = 0 & output = html

Anyone know why it does not work?

As a reminder I am able to use the following form on my own computer to submit directly to the processing page and it works

    "< do action ="https://spreadsheets.google.com/formResponse?key=tlo4FjygqMuUGmvuOb2_Gjw"method ="POST">"
    "< input type ="text"name ="entry.0.single"value =" ">
    < input type = "text" name = "entry.1.single" value ="" > "
    < input type = "submit" name = "submit" value = "Submit" >
    < / make >

Any help would be greatly appreciated

What happens if you also include the field of sending as cfhttpparam?

  • Firefox on the laptop of my wife lost the black bar that displays maps, Gmail etc. Now at the top of the screen there is an empty bar, triple height, with just the Google search box entry. How can I get that back? Or is it a question for Google?

When I open Firefox there is a black bar, sometimes vertical, sometimes horizontal, in the upper part, with links to maps, Gmail etc. When I opened Gmail the same links are listed at the top of the screen, just under the tabs. In my wife's cell phone, it appears in the Firefox splash screen, but not in the form of Gmail. In the top of the screen is an extra-large gray bar with just one Google search box entry. Is this a problem of Firefox or Google?

She has XP Home SP3 and Firefox 9

  • Since the update to Firefox 13, most of google's sites will not work in the browser, including gmail, google docs and even research.

These sites all worked fine before the update and I can access it from the other browsers on the same machine. Google docs just says: «redirection...» "but never goes anywhere Gmail will load up after about 5 minutes, but does not load Gchat and the homepage of google allows me to search once, but after a search, I can't look for something else, it just stops.

It comes to my work computer, so I don't know much about what is installed on it. I don't know, we use a proxy server, but it is the same one who use other browsers, and they work. But our desktop system only works on Firefox, and I really want to use a browser, instead of switching between browsers only when I want to do a simple google search.

Hello noamscohen, thanks for the reports with the details of your system. Please enter Subject: config in the location bar, search for the preference named network.http.keep - alive and switch to true, the default, by double-clicking on it. This should make the pages encrypted google dependent again.

Firefox has gone downhill the way in many ways...

    Tittiger said

I respectfully disagree with you about Firefox...

The code of Firefox is so bad that I only use it as a last resort. Constantly, it crashes and has done this on several PCs in 2 or 3 years.

In any case thanks for the suggestions, but it turned out malware that Panda deleted.

If Firefox is a 'last resort', why you use it to check your emails? Do you use Google Chrome to access Google mail? I've never had problems with Firefox, then maybe I'm just lucky.

Added the: Chrome and IE are coded by companies funded by programmers. Firefox is a program open source funded through donations to not-for-profit, which means that's what users are doing. If the 'bad code' is probably just different, not bad.
