Firefox causes Office to freeze.

Every day after starting my desktop computer, I got the guide TV Yahoo7 ( http://au.tv.yahoo.com/tv-guide/ ) and then I select the option of e-mail at the top of the page.

This takes you to the webpage http://au.mail.yahoo.com/ and when I select the sign in option on the top right of the page my desktop freezes... nothing doesn't work.

The Office remains like this for a few minutes, and then it works fine as usual.

It happens that the 1st time that I do this, and I also tried the same process on IE9 and never happens when I use it, so the fault must be with Firefox.

I am currently using Firefox 26.0 and all my plugins are up to date.

And the destination charge immediately after the connection is Yahoo! mail?

This problem is not limited to Yahoo! mail or does it occur on other sites?

Some users have reported loading times extended to the first access of a page when they have a ton of fonts, if this page using a downloadable font. Example: Firefox crashes on websites (example: g2play.net). Yahoo recently changed images regular icon to a downloadable font. By chance, do you have a huge collection of fonts on your system?

To check if this is the problem, you do the following:

(1) in a new tab, type or paste Subject: config in the address bar and press ENTER. Click on the button promising to be careful.

(2) in the search box that appears above the list, type or paste gfx and make a break while the list is filtered

(3) double-click the preference gfx.downloadable_fonts.enabled to change its value from true to false.

To test if it makes a difference, you will need to exit Firefox and starts again by using the same steps that normally trigger the problem.

Unfortunately, the tendency to use downloadable fonts for icons has spread to many sites, it is not as convenient as once, it was simply disable the use of the downloadable fonts to work around the problem. I hope this will get fixed!

  • Use of the RAM of Firefox causing accidents?

In the last three days, I have observed a new problem with my Firefox. I never had this problem before.
If I load any text or images on a tab, it causes the RAM to increase usage. Its use does not diminish over time, and sites such as Facebook and 9GAG, with long flow of images and text, can cause the use of RAM go more than 2.5 Gigabits. Once it reaches this threshold, Firefox crashes. Manually close Firefox also removes the use of RAM, although the closing of tabs does not work.
I scoured the list help accidents, even if nothing is done.

  • Cookies from Firefox make my computer freezes & must be reseeded

Firefox no longer works on my machine (Windows 8.1), he opened in tabs I used last, but there is no picture displayed and the computer froze, making it necessary to restart by pressing the button. When optimizing my computer using CC Cleaner, he stopped trying to erase the "Firefox Cookies", also freeze my computer everything and makes it necessary to restart by pressing the off button. I tried to reboot in safe mode, but the same things happen. Please tell us how to locate and delete cookies from Firefox. Thank you

It might be simpler to delete all cookies from Firefox completely by removing the data file which is the holder. Firefox will make a new.

Wouldn't it be better if you actually need save one of these cookies, but it sounds as if you want to clean them all.

    If you have Firefox:

Leave this window open, switch back to Firefox and output, either:

    • "3-bar" menu button > button "power".
    • (menu bar) File > Exit

Break while Firefox finishing his cleaning can remove cookies.sqlite

If you do not have Firefox:

Copy the following text and paste it into the search box in Windows, or the Run dialog box (available on the start page of Windows 8.1 lower with all the small icons) or in a window of Windows Explorer address bar and press ENTER:

    %APPDATA%\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles

You can have a folder named semi randomly here, or you might have several records. In the case of multiple, repeat the operation if necessary.

For some reason, when I opened my Firefox today, so bad that I have my computer crashes all also blocks... Even if I close and reopen Firefox, it still hangs... So the only option I have is to complete the process... However, if you wait long enough after my crashes Firefox, it won't hang on and working normally again. For this reason, I did a little investigation to know what could be the cause why my Firefox keeps hanging after the start, and I found an answer to this. I have concluded that, because when I changed my home page to start on a blank Page, it does not crash, and whenever the Start Page is displayed, I noticed that the firefox.exe process on my task manager going up to 1 000 000 + K of memory... which is obviously abnormal...
