Firefox closes with youtube.

I use a MacBook Pro 2008 and every time that I use Firefox and try to watch a video of youtube, either from www.youtube.com or embedded in another website, the video screen appears garbled and the browser suddenly stops. I have made updates to Firefox, software, Plugins, traveled in safe mode, etc, does not. Has anyone ever / solved this problem?

Hello!

I had the same or a similar problem. After much research I tried this solution and it worked for me:

Uninstall flash completely and install from scratch. This site tells you how to uninstall:
http://www.CultofMac.com/67699/uninstall-Flash-for-Mac-OS-x-in-seven-easy-steps-how-to/

And then you will find the latest version here:

I hope it helps you too!

  • Firefox locked up with YouTube when using Dragon NaturallySpeaking

I use Dragon NaturallySpeaking to get all my data into the computer as I am paralyzed from the shoulders down, incapable of any other way to the data. When I click on a link that would be for YouTube or other types of media devices, Firefox and Dragon NaturallySpeaking will lock leaving me place the Creek without a paddle. Short of abolishing the use of Firefox as my default browser, I am open to all suggestions that you may have because Microsoft Internet Explorer is a program that I can't stand using and I use Firefox since its inception and I like except when it crashes.

Thank you very much and I am open to any suggestions you might have before uninstall DNS because it is a must.

I noticed a similar problem, which began occurring only recently. If I'm dictating in Firefox use Dragon NaturallySpeaking 8, if it consists in the search bar or in a Gmail e-mail window, Firefox can lock up without warning. The only way I found to recover the problem is to close with force Firefox using Windows Task Manager.

  • The latest Update of Firefox does not work with YouTube?

On a few days ago, I went on YouTube to upload a video. For some reason, it gave me a message that says "request invalid. Authentication has expired.
Not only that, if I do other things such as taste/do not love a video, or add a video to my favorites or another list of reading, it is said that the service is not available.
I also had a problem trying to respond to the other comments in the videos. Anytime I type on my comment and click the post button, it says something like "error, try again."
Now, when it comes to other things like just watching and looking for videos, I have no problem.

I thought it might have something to do with the latest update of Firefox, because I tried to use YouTube with other browsers and it works perfectly well, and I was not having problems with YouTube before the update.

No idea if the update could affect something that causes these questions?

We have seen reports that causes the extension DownloadHelper 4.9.14 with some features on YouTube.

  • Firefox does not ask for confirmation when exit/close with several tabs open

I'm having the same problem as user here: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1139845 (only I have different OS)

When multiple tabs open, Firefox ask me never confirmation when I click Firefox close window button in the corner (usually accidentally). And I would like confirmation.

    about: config I have:

true browser.showQuitWarning (it is marked as custom value (bold), default is false)

    true browser.tabs.closeWindowWithLastTab

and when I close Firefox (usually accidentally) I get window of journalist of crash that I submit usually.

Update: claims of a member who never close the confirmation appears for only one Firefox window, only several windows of Firefox. According to me, that this is of people probably half of bad idea is not using multiple windows, only the multiple tabs.

    The-edmeister says

All you need to do is use the Previous Session Restore, either the default value: House in the lower right corner or history homepage > restoration of previous Session. ...

Thank you very much for the input. Indeed, I go to Options/General and together "when Firefox starts:" 'Show my home page' and when I click on X to close the FF button, then asked to FF:

"Want you Firefox to save your tabs for the next time it starts? I click on "Save and exit" when I start FF, tabs are automatically re-open! :-) It's very, very happy.

I never thought tabs will be reopened when the blank page is set initially. And I did not tried because I usually have several tabs open, so do not wanted to risk. For me, the issue is resolved. THX

  • Firefox closes in response to halfway through loading a page using Windows 10

I tried both 40 and 42 version. Whenever I try to load a Web page, Firefox closes responding to half way through. I went through modules. I went through all the articles help and nothing has worked. The problem started after I installed Windows 10 and often happens on Politico and Fox News. I tried to uninstall and reinstall. After uninstalling, I scanned the registry with ccleaner

I think I have set myself. When I started this evening I had the option of updating Firefox. After doing this, everything seems to work properly. Thank you

  • 9.1.2 Safari does not not with youtube videos

    Hi all

Just get a somewhat strange question in this Safari now does not play youtube in HTML5 videos.

It started in the last days.

    Resolution of problems so far:

    (1) safe start up... seems to work.

    (2) Firefox, works great every time

    (3) sometimes works in Safari once then stops.

    Seems a bit unusual.

What I get when I start is reading in white letters move to HTML5 as a default value, then a black screen no picture or sound.

Safari still usable and can switch to another video, but it does the same thing.

As says no problem with FF.

Does anyone else have this problem?

    At soon HD

I only use Safari on my Mac and it works very well with YouTube.

  • Firefox closes at the beginning

Firefox closes on the first attempt to start after the start. Seems to work fine after.

    Windows 8.1
Customer of Comcast with constant Protection Suite and Norton Security Suite guard but all disabled
Problem occurs after the start or restart
    Persisting in safe mode
    Persists after reset of Firefox
Open several pages, but even with a single page

After struggling with this for a while I realized it was "Constant guard Protection Suite" Comcast / infinity has been shutdown Firefox. Apparently, this happened when CGPS has started up or when Firefox started upward. This happened even if CGPS has been revealed itself as incompatible with Firefox 26.0 AND Firefox 27.0 and has been automatically disabled. I solved the problem by disabling the autostart of CGPS to start and removing CGPS as an add-on. I contacted CGPS support and told them what the problem is so they can contact you. Or not. I use not anyway CGPS, following security Norton, which is included. Thanks for your time.

  • Why Downloadhelper does not work with Youtube?

I used the add-on video Downloadhelper years on my laptop without a problem. I noticed about three days ago, that he did more work with Youtube videos. Rotation icon still works, and when I click it, it still gives me the choice of file type to download. However, when I click on my choice, the green arrow shows the download process, but happens ' 0 bytes"for all types of video.

I don't have problems to download videos from other sites I've used before, just from Youtube.

Also, I am able to use Downloadhelper with Youtube on my other computer without problem.

Can you please help? Thank you.

Google/Youtube are trying to block the addons like these, maybe its been blocked from youtube, I would try FVD.
