Firefox does not start after putting in

Troubleshooting of the measures taken:
I uninstalled and reinstalled the program.
I spend just clicked and ran as administrator.

I get no error message. Just... nothing happens.

Possibly associated, I tried to run the update of Adobe Flash and it does not either. Everything else seems to work fine on my system, including IE, however.

Last updated:
After Flash Player install, I decided to try to uninstall/reinstall with Firefox again and I uninstalled AVG 2012. And now, as if by magic, it works.
2015 AVG found nothing in his comprehensive analysis of the system.
I don't know what has changed. My best guess is that there is something in 2012 AVG blocking FF v. 36.
Wish I could provide more insight.
Thank you all for all your advice!

  • Firefox does not start after the places.sqlite opening in Notepad

Firefox does not load again. I tried to create a large folder of bookmarks, but I wanted them to hide so I tried to be clever and create a copy of my current places.sqlite who had no bookmarks added and moved elsewhere, then I added bookmarks and once that replace the current places.sqlite then I created a copy of this and put it elsewhere for more security and then I replaced it with the first places.sqlite I had copied. I had to go through that much trouble because for reasons, I was unable to delete the bookmarks by right-clicking and selecting delete. I had already tried to open places.sqlite in Notepad and since then is when it started to happen. I tried to reset the file extension type, or rather detached, but I can't figure out how. I also tried to remove completely any Mozilla partner, restarted my computer and then reinstall Mozilla, but it didn't work and I prefer not to try again or uninstall it because my computer has a very difficult time even boot Windows 10. Can someone tell me what to do or where it is that I was wrong?

Do a clean reinstall and delete the program folder before Firefox to (re) install a new copy of the current version of Firefox.

If possible to uninstall your current version of Firefox to clean the Windows registry and settings in the security software.

    • Do NOT remove the "personal data" when you uninstall your current version of Firefox, because this will remove all profile folders and you lose personal data such as bookmarks and passwords including data profiles created by other versions of Firefox.

Delete the program folder Firefox before installing newly downloaded copy of the Firefox installer.

    • (32-bit Windows) "C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\"
    • (Windows 64 bit) "C:\Program Files (x 86) \Mozilla.

Your bookmarks and other personal data are stored in the Firefox profile folder and will not be affected by a uninstall and (re) install, but do NOT delete personal data when you uninstall Firefox which removes all Firefox profile folders and you lose your data.

If you keep the problems, and then create a new profile.

    Hello

Some Firefox problems can be solved by performing a clean reinstall. This means that you remove Firefox program files, and then reinstall Firefox. Please follow these steps:

Note: You can print these steps or consult them in another browser.

    1. Download the latest version of Firefox from http://www.mozilla.org office and save the installer to your computer.
    2. Once the download is complete, close all Firefox Windows (click on quit in the file menu or Firefox).
    3. Remove the Firefox installation folder, which is located in one of these locations, by default:
      • Windows:

        • C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox
        • C:\Program Files (x 86) \Mozilla Firefox
      • Mac: Delete Firefox in the Applications folder.
      • Linux: If you have installed Firefox with the distribution-based package manager, you must use the same way to uninstall: see Install Firefox on Linux. If you have downloaded and installed the binary package from the Firefox download page, simply remove the folder firefox in your home directory.
    4. Now, go ahead and reinstall Firefox:
      1. Double-click on the downloaded Setup file and go through the steps in the installation wizard.

  • Firefox does not start after the 3.0.1 update

I have Firefox 3.0.1. I would like to upgrade to 3.6, but if I try to upgrade to any version, I can't open Firefox. It is not like the other problems "Does not", because in the Task Manager, firefox.exe appears, then disappears instantly. Sometimes firefox.exe is not even appear in the Task Manager. I can also use any version of IE (even if I wanted to), Safari or Chrome. They have all the same results. Thanks for your tip on the killer of program. There was a program on my computer called Naomi Filter. I didn't know what it was until I saw this and he looked up. It turned out to be an internet filter which automatically closes the browser. I don't know why 3.0.1 works, but I deleted it and Firefox and Chrome work perfectly now. Thank you!

  • Firefox does not start after upgrade to 8.0, 9.0 now - conflict eSSO - YET?

After the upgrade of Firefox 7 to 8, I was unable to start the program, probably due to the makings of eSSO of Oracle running on my computer. I started v 3.6 which doesn't have this problem. I just tried upgrading to v. 9.0 and was dismayed to find that this bug is not fixed. Here, I am back to 3.6 v, once again, but I need a modern browser that can run HTML5. If this can not be repaired, I switch to Chrome.

Hangs at startup can occur in Firefox 7 or higher (but not Firefox 6 or an earlier version) If you use a login system company like IBM Tivoli Access Manager or Oracle Enterprise Single Sign on Manager (bug 680927). See the bug for a workaround report suggested or downgrade from 3.6.xx of Firefox (available here), which is still maintained.

Using the system restore can cause your installation of Firefox get corrupted because only the whitelist files are restored, so always be careful with the system restore function.

    You can reinstall Firefox.

    • Download the full Firefox installation program and save the file to the desktop

  • Firefox does not start (not safe mode), but uses the CPU

I have the latest Firefox 25.0 (and the last Flash 11.9.900.117) on Windows 7 and the following behavior is reproducible. It started not too long ago.

At first when I launch Firefox, nothing appears no matter how often, I restart. I see in the list of the process firefox.exe to 25% of the CPU, 2 x FlashPlayerPlugin_11_9_900_117.exe (CPU 0%) and plugincontainer.exe. No matter how many times I killed all of them, would not restart Firefox.

The following also not help in this situation:

    • Starting in normal safe mode: Firefox opens a window but immediately freezes and does not respond. The process list shows the same process even if I find the unexpected FlashPlayer.
    • Disable plugincontainer: same results (just without plugincontainer.exe)
    • Uninstall Flash: Same results (just without FlashPlayerPlugin)

The following can start Firefox only once:

    • Starting in SafeMode but select "Reset Firefox": Firefox does not start right away, however. Nothing happens, and you have to kill the process. However the very next time you launch Firefox in the normal way, it works fine (but it shows FlashPlayerPlugin.exe in the list of unopened Windows process despite the tab). Unfortunately, after closing Firefox the process (Firefox, FlashPlayerPlugin) are not deleted. I kill and the problem with Firefox do not leave reappears.

In case you use "clear history of Firefox closing:

    • do not delete Cookies

Note that compensation "Preferences of Site" clears all exceptions for cookies, images, windows pop up, installation of software and passwords.

Use "Firefox > output" (Windows: Firefox/file > quit;) Mac: Firefox > quit Firefox. Linux: Firefox/file > exit) to close Firefox if you are currently doing by clicking on the X close in the title bar of Firefox.

Create a new profile manually (and not via the reset) as a test to see if your profile is the source of the problems.

    See "create a profile":

If the new profile works then you can transfer files from a profile in the new profile, but be careful not to copy files corrupted to avoid transporting on the problem.

  • Satellite P200D-130 does not start after upgrading RAM

Hi, I just upgraded the RAM on my P200D 130 but it does not start after that.
I removed the 2 Hynix 1 GB PC2-5200 and put in 2 SO Kingston DDR2 2 GB PC667 (should be the same as PC2-5200).
Post-market nothing happens, light power control is turned on, I him stays CD drive but screen black, no beeps.

I put one of the 1 GB modules, it starts normally, then I tried a 1 GB into the lower slot module and a 2 GB module in the top slot and it works.
I tried a single 2 GB module in each slot, even in the form of 2 2 GB modules.

What could be the reason, better: what would be the solution to ensure that the modules of 2 x 2 GB to work?

    Thanks in advance,

    Michael

    Hello!

I think that both modules are not compatible to the laptop.
Normally you can upgrade your laptop to 4 GB. Look in the user manual.

The RAM, you should bring the computer dealer and request a new one. More buy modules with the same specifications and dimensions. Try buying RAM with the same specs as before.
