Firefox doesn't recognize Google earth plugin

I use Firefox on a mac os x 10.6.8 14.0.1. I was on Google Maps and tried to use Google Earth, but he said I had to download the plug-in. I did it and it appears in the Internet Plug-ins folder, but does not appear in the add-on Manager page. I restarted FF and computer and also deleted the plugin and redownloaded it, but still when I go to Google Maps, it says that I still need to download. She works in Chrome and Safari. What I am doing wrong?

Try to reset the database of plugins in the profile folder and check again.

Thank you

What is a VLC 64 bit version?

On a Mac, versions of Firefox 4 and later are a 64-bit application.

Not all support 64-bit plugins and if not, you must start Firefox in 32-bit mode to use this plugin.

  • I upgraded to 7 45 Java, but even after restart of firefox doesn't recognize her, he said that is not installed. It appears in the list of windows programs

Make sure that you have installed the version of Java 32 bits.

It is possible that something was wrong with the update registry keys that Firefox uses to find the Java plugin.

  • Whitelist Google Earth Plugin for FireFox 64-bit?

Would it not possible to whitelist, this plugin for 64 - bit as has been done for silverlight?

Hi berwyn, mozilla won't because the plan published (as do other browser vendors as well) is completely remove support for the npapi and move the web content plugin. the win64 version already takes this kind of slate.

  • Firefox doesn't recognize flash drive

I have the version 19,0,0,226 of the flash player installed. Shockwave 19.0 r0 and shockwave for plug ins Director 12.2 version are installed, and then set it to always activate. I tried firefox 40 and 41, and it will not work with both versions. (I went back to 40 until the Norton toolbar will work with 41) If I right click on a video of the shock wave I receive no information about shockwave. It works on Internet Explorer. I did uninstall using a Shockwave unistall program, rebooted and reinstalled and it does not solve the problem no more. Start firefox in safe mode disables shockwave doesn't help either. Any suggestions?

I wasn't even today. I discovered thanks to eradication as a plug-in called classic restaurant theme has been the cause of the problem, at least this time. I'll see if it's the ultimate solution.

  • Sometimes, the Firefox doesn't recognize a character set

Firefox can not decode some English text characters or symbols and instead of characters appear a kind of codes. Just like you would surf the Chinese website without the Chinese character set.

    Like this here

Why is it so in Firefox? I've never seen what happens in Internet Explorer.

Pages that use Unicode (UTF-8) format display a small box with the hex code if the character cannot be displayed.
Which allows you to search the character in a table.

If you see such a box with hexadecimal code in it, then it means that Firefox cannot map a character to a specific font, and you will need to install a font that covers the affected characters.

In your case you are missing fonts and font support if it occurs on sites that use the IDEOGRAM.

You will see something similar on Windows XP if you visit pages that use complex scripts (e.g. hindi and Arabic).

Windows XP account very basic language support installed by default.

There are many languages in the world and there are still languages that may require special fonts.

You probably can't read, so it's your choice if you want to install a font for these pages or just accept the small squares with the hex code.

  • Is there a Virus fake Google Earth?

I have installed google earth on my mac several months ago.  He did not appear in internet applications or plugins.  Since then, I have tried to delete it, but can't find it.  It has been present in Safari under plugins.  I have disabled the plugin, but I would delete the whole program.  Anyone heard of a googleearth fake horse of Trojan or a Virus?  Anyone have any suggestions on how to find and delete?

Sorry, I meant when you look under the files in the library and go to internet, file plugins, the google earth plugin is not listed.  Google Earth is also not listed under applications anywhere.  I know it's there, because when I start Safari and go to the plugins section, it appears.  How can I get it my computer?

  • Plugin Google Earth is not recognized by Firefox (works in Safari and Chrome)

For some reason any Google Earth has stopped working in Firefox, and I get a note that I have to download the plug-in. (It works fine in Chrome and Safari).

I followed the 'solution' in the forum without success.

When I search "Google Earth Browser plugin" in the Finder, I find SEVEN matching this search under 'Type' in Macintosh HD/Library/Internet Plugins... .but this 'genre' is associated with the plugins that are "Named" something else - for example, Adobe, DivX, Flash, Flip4Mac, etc. (weird).

  • My Firefox home page doesn't include Google search. Why is this?

My Firefox home page doesn't include Google search.
I would like to include a photo, but Firefox Help does not seem to allow this.
There is an empty space where Google search would normally be.
If you type in a search, it takes you to a search engine called http://uk.search-results.com.

Hello ColinTindal, please enter Subject: config in the locationbar, search for the preference browser.startup.homepage_override.mstone, right-click & reset it and restart the browser.

  • Google Earth crashes Firefox 10.0.2

I see Firefox hang when using Google Maps. More precisely when switching to the option of Google Earth in Google Maps. The problem is more likely to occur when the statement to view the horizon but can also crash when moving everything.

I didn't used to have this problem on older versions of Firefox (3.x) and currently, the problem does not occur on Google Chrome or IE9.

I think it may have something to do with OpenGL since it is using 3D rendering. I use Windows 7 with a NVIDIA GeForce 8800 and have updated the drivers to see if that fixes it, but to no avail.

Google might be pulling a Microsoft and making it so the application does not work well? Not my real question, just thinking out loud.

Question, is anyone else seeing this problem?

    Details:
    Windows 7
    Firefox 10.0.2
    8 GB RAM
Dual screen (occurs on a monitor)
    Latest drivers GeForce 8800

Problem varies from just a block with the eternal blue circle or Firefox on some occasions just closes during navigation.

To reproduce simply go to http://maps.google.com and then switch to Earth. Zoom in as close as possible to the relief and turn around to see the horizon. Then move until the crash occurs.

    Thank you
    Valerie

The problem persists if start you Firefox in Mode safe?
