Vista - Windows 7 reinstall. Real warnings now appear.

My computer was initially installed Vista, I bought a copy of Windows 7 via download. I recently had to reinstall windows, but the copy of the download that I did a few years ago did not work so I used another disc of Windows 7 from Dell. Now, it is not authentic, how do I fix?

I don't know what my product key since I bought via download and do not have a CD cover to check.
